I went somewhere else because I'm here from out of town because of the reviews that were somewhat negative. The other place had more positive reviews yet when I got there oh my gosh it was not very nice and it was only private lockers! I was just so frustrated and the showers weren't that nice, so I got cleaned up and decided I was going to head to LA fitness and see what all the negativity was about. I can only say this, I was impressed by the women's locker room, the fact that it was clean, the fact that the sauna was nice, the fact that there was a locker if I needed it and a place to sit my things down. I signed up and I'm going back tomorrow because I toured the facility and I thought it was pretty darn nice. If you want nicer you have to put it in yourself at your house, good luck with that because where I'm staying they have that but they shut their whirlpool down for the season.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU JOIN THIS GYM!!!!!!!
So I have only been going to this particular gym for a short amount of time I was a member of Planet Fitness and used both the Ft.Wright and Florence facilities. This particular gym is borderline disgusting and outdated. I’m really contemplating on switching back because of the shape of the equipment and the men’s locker room and sauna. The locker is in very poor condition, the smell is beyond normal smelling locker rooms smell (stinky socks) it smells like it hasn’t been cleaned in years and looks like that to. Its very outdated looking with doors coming off hinges and a broken worn out look in general and the sauna looks the same very worn out and in poor condition as well. The bathrooms are in okay condition I say that lightly but the showers are disgusting, mold all over the shower curtains they look like they haven’t been changed in a year and smell like old mold, broken hang up handles loose screws etc… The equipment on the floor, which in the main reason why you go to the gym, is in poor condition and is very outdated. I’ve only been here for a small amount of time and I’m seeing machines without handle grips and everything looks so outdated compared to PF. Esporta has potential I came here years ago and it didn’t look like this or smell like this at all. It has really went down hill. It does have some amenities over PF such as the Pool (it looks fine) hot tub (dont know condition never used it) sauna, (men’s sauna is in poor condition) and the basketball court (is in good condition) so if you’re looking for a gym to go to or thinking about switching from PF I would take what I’m saying in consideration because I don’t think I would have switched if I would have known the condition of the gym but, that’s my fault in not checking and just thought it was in the same condition as it was years ago. If you like updated and a lot cleaner facility go with a different gym or stay with the current one you have .I was paying 25$ for black card at PF and I am paying a premium 50$ for Esporta and the only decent nice thing is the basketball court that I use, and that’s not worth 25$ extra a month to shoot ball. This is only my opinion, and coming from the men’s locker room/shower/sauna. I don’t know the condition of the women’s stuff. I highly recommend you don’t make the same mistake as I did and join this Gym 50$ a month is wild for this condition.

Just switch from Planet Fitness and already debating going back. The gym is filthy. The bathroom smells like stale urine, mold in the showers, I’ve never seen an employee leave the front desk let alone clean anything. It’s not worth what you’re paying for.

I don’t understand the positive reviews. Perhaps this is the standard for gyms in Northern KY but I’ve been to 4-5 other LA Fitness/Esportas and this is by far the worst. It’s messy with trash overflowing, the LA fitness wallpaper is peeling off the walls, machines are older often “scheduled for repair”. Locker rooms are carpet and smell.

We were members at the Bellevue location for several years (which we absolutely loved everything about). Unfortunately that location closed April 1 of 2024. We were told at the time that unless we specifically requested our membership be transferred to another location that it would end automatically. There were even signs on the desk and we confirmed this with multiple people. We live in southeast Clermont County so transferring to another Esporta location was out of the question for us. Shame on us for not looking closer, but we just realized we have been charged consistently since then. Upon talking with Conner, we were told that “no - it shows we opted in”. Which is a complete lie. Cancelling the membership (let alone getting a refund) would take an act of Congress. There are plenty of other cleaner gyms with way better equipment around the area. Dont waste your time or money here. Bottom line - it’s gyms like this that give other gyms a bad name. These guys are liars and cheaters.

This gym is funny. I’m back after a month and a half off and they’ve slapped signs on where you’re unable to do hip thrusts. The ab room, which is literally just a few mats has been out of order since before I left. Fix your crap and maybe change out the water filters more often than every couple of years, it’s disgusting probably moldy and warm. Signed an irritated member.

This is genuinely one disgusting gym. The trash is always overflowing, there’s never anyone cleaning (and it shows), there’s mold growing in the water fountain, the floor is filthy, the carpet in the locker room stinks. On top of that the staff cannot be bothered to look up from their phones to do anything. Lastly the equipment is old and out of order half the time.
I came to Esporta wanting an upgrade to my previous gym. Instead I paid more money for an unsanitary environment, rude staff, and run down equipment. Don’t waste your money.

There was man in the women's locker room ..he walked around with his phone in his hand and kept going through the women's locker room even after being told it was not the men's locker room. His friend was yelling at another woman who asked him not to go in the womens locker room. Another man swimming in his underwear. Another man swimming laps and not allowing class to take place. This place has gotten worse over the years. Do not bring children into this pool area! NOT SAFE!!!!! Lawsuit waiting to happen. Update. Manager took note and promises there is a policy that men are not allowed in women's locker room.

I was a member of la fitness in Sarasota Florida. I was told I could set up my prepaid training at any Esporta or LA fitness. When I called this venue I was told I needed to set up an appointment with the trainer manager and he would call back in 15 minutes. After waiting 3 hours I called consistently for more 4 hours and no one answered. Finally someone answered at six o'clock and the guy said the trainer manager was not there. He said the he could transfer me to the manager. The "manager" who responded said he couldn't help since he was the sales manager and couldn't help. I said at least let someone know the staff never answers the phone. He indicated that wasn't their job. Sad state of affairs and terrible customer service.

The only two highlights you’ll find here is the location which is convenient for most and the classes are free for whatever they’re worth.
The showers are terrible, the concrete on the men’s sauna is cracked and the pieces of the floor come out like a puzzle piece. When you go into the pool you’ll notice rust marks all along the stairs. The mold in the men’s locker room is every where. While I put my shower shoes on I used the locker door for some balance and the door literally fell off the wall.
Just be aware the staff gives out free tee shirts if you leave a review while you are at the gym. Which means people are more biased to leave positive feedback

This place is a complete mess. It has been severely understaffed and overcrowded for years. The locker rooms and bathrooms are disgusting, the sauna is in complete disrepair, half the water fountains don't work, and all the machines are super dirty and janky.

On top of that, they closed all the other locations nearby so the Crescent Springs location is more crowded than ever. Problems are getting worse by the day.

Just got scabies from this gym for the 3RD TIME in the last 5 years.

Mens locker room, sauna, and showers are disgusting. Cleaning those areas is not a thing here unless you count changing the trash bags. Also hasn't been updated in the 12 years years I've gone here. See mold/mildew and cracked tiles in the pictures. Shower heads belong in a slum lord apt building. Wouldn't doubt they're over 25 years old. I know they're atleast 12. Same for the moldy shower curtains. Haven't been changed in my tenure here.

Workout area/Equipment is awesome if you don't mind the risk of getting an STI. Seriously afraid to go back and doubt I will until I forget about this fiasco and go back for round 4 of scabies. Would love this place if they took pride in their locker room area as much as their Equipment.

UPDATE: Its now been 9 weeks AND I STILL HAVE SCABIES. I've spend over $600 on dermatologist visits and medication to get rid of them. FYI, the medication has a chance to damage my liver forever... THANKS BUTTERMILK ESPORTA.

I don't live in the area any longer and for over 5 months now. I've been trying to get them to close my account but they won't do it unless I'm there in person. They said they would mail me something to fill out through the mail and never got anything for that. So they've been stealing my money for almost a half a year. This place is garbage. There is a way to do it over the phone I'm sure there is. I think I might have to go get a lawyer. Even when I was close with my schedule, I was only able to attend this gym one time since I got the membership..

After 2 years of being away from the gym (LA fitness)due to Covid i started back this time it's Esporta. Ive been back a couple of months now and can't say to many good things about the Place. It looks the same except they have a so called training area when you enter. They have taken all the exercise equipment and pushed them back so your on top of each other when working out. The place is not very clean you don't see anyone, employees or patrons wipe down the equipment few have the common courtesy to wipe down the machines after use but they never did. The locker room is filthy, i dont use it any more. But then again for $10 bucks a month you get what you pay for . UPDATE: back one year now and the paper towels and hand sanitizers
are gone. They have pull out wipes that are dried out and no one uses. Place has become run down and very crowded and incredibly dirty:UPDATE, membership canceled It's ashame because at one time it was a great place to workout but now it's run down, oh well.

This gym is DISGUSTING. Does anyone even run this place? Not a single piece of equipment is clean. The bars and dumbbells are filled with grime and who knows what. The attachments are trash, let alone nowhere to be found. Everything is old, ripped and broken. With the exception of a few cages and the new crossfit area that’s somewhat clean. The carpet is probably as old as the building, the weight area looked like it’s been sitting empty for months. How come no one takes care of this gym? How come there is no standard of cleanliness and newness? When it was LA fitness, it was never this bad. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place because it’s the only gym within walking distance of my office and I want to revoke my membership after one day.

Carson is awesome when it comes to greeting people and talking to them. Everytime I’m walking past him, he is always making someone smile or laugh. One of the funniest guys I know. He has helped motivate and push me in the gym when I need it

The treadmills are a little outdated but the options for workouts blow Planet Fitness away. The sauna and pool are a plus!!!

I drive from the Westside to come to this location. The artificial turf and sled, pool and jacuzzi are a nice bonus. Some of the equipment is a little antiquated, and the mens locker room has this odd, kind off ingrained funk about it, but the staff is friendly, as are the patrons, and it's bright and clean. With the closest Lifetime Fitness being in Mason, this is about as good as it gets for us Cincy Metro folks. This location also stays open later than Newport (11pm).
