You know I was not going to say anything about this place, but the more I think back on how we were treated here I’m not going to hold my silence anymore. My son was a gymnast here that had spent more than several years training here. We started off in lessons and then he was moved up to making the team. We had some good years here that he excelled in. It all changed though when the coach he had gave up on him. A couch is meant to be mentor and teach the sport, but a good coach pushes the child and helps them to excel not only in the sport, but in everyday life too. The coach gave up on our child unfortunately. So bad that our child became disconnected in the sport he loved for so many years. Watching him practice and the lack of attention the coach showed these children was bothering to say the least. Gymnastics is a very time dedicated sport to be involved in and also very pricy compared to other sports. We spent a lot of money and time at this gym and we really did love the place, but Jay is not meant to teach younger kids. My son wanted to take a break because he was confused on how he felt about the sport that he excelled in up until he got a new coach that failed him. He made many friends and had good memories here. He wasn’t pushed to excel anymore and the coach clearly gave up on him and it showed at competitions from the previous year when he had Heath as a coach. After the disconnected season he took a break in the off season. We gave him time to see if this was something he wanted to keep pursuing or move on, but he missed his sport that he had been doing for half of his life. We contacted the gym to let them know that he wanted to give it another go, literally with in a couple of months and I don’t even think it was that long, but was told by the coach Jay that the team was full, and this was at the very begging of the season. Teams don’t get full with under 10 boys. My son still talked to his teammates so we knew he was being shunned or at least that’s how he took it. A blatant lie was told to us and also it crushed my son’s spirit. He couldn’t understand why his coach at a gym that he had been going to for half of his life gave up on him. We knew it was a lie and so did he. So in conclusion I would be careful being involved in a place that doesn’t care that much about being a good coach/ mentor to your child. In my opinion his coach is burnt out and is only there for a job and a paycheck, but not for the love of the sport or to help these kids to succeed. Winning programs have coaches that care not what ever this is.

I want to take a minute to brag about legacy all sports. Our daughter has been going for a little over a yr now and all of her coaches have been truly amazing, from division’s 1, 2 and 3, to pre-team and as of yesterday, purple team as she just got promoted. She’s eager to see each and every one of the coaches, old and new. They truly care about each and every child there. Our daughter has gained so much from just the little time she has been there. The sheer confidence, self-esteem, determination, teamwork, accountability and responsibility she is showing is next to none, and continues to grow with each and every class. But a special shout out to Coach’s Zach, Ava, and Maya as they have truly done wonders with our daughter in the little time she has been in pre team. They have, and continue to challenge her to become a better and stronger gymnast and person, and we can’t thank them enough. She loves each and every one of you and can’t wait to come back for classes! She is so excited to see what purple team brings and to continue having you all as her coaches. YOU ALL ARE ROCK STARS! Thank you for everything that you do for not only our child but all the other children that attend as well.

My niece enjoyed her 8th birthday party here today and ALL the kids absolutely loved it! I have kids of all ages ( 13, 11, and 1 ) Every single one of them ran around that gym and wore them self’s out! The party room was nice and clean, big enough for a decent size family. We enjoyed ourselves, thank you 😊

We have been a long time member of Legacy. Legacy cares about the individual child. Legacy has a great facility that they work hard on. Lexington is lucky to have a great gymnastics facility!

The coaches at Legacy are awesome. My daughter has been doing gymnastics there for 7 years. She started in the recreation 2 year old classes and has progressed through all their programs and is now on team there. We have had a great experience all the way through. I feel safe and confident sending my young girl there!

Any establishment that punished the children for thier parents past isn't something I can get behind! That little face was lit up with joy couldn't wait for the next week and now she doesn't want to do anything else. Yes our kids should be safe however he could have been asked to never come back(he wouldn't cause it made his daughter happy) those long finger nails those clothes have could put someone's eyes out with just saying, also maybe listen to the whole story! I ain't got time for snotty people who think they are better than everyone else! From what I seen I'm not even sure the coaches have ever done half the stuff they teach! Do better and quit singling kids out who have no control over what someone else has done!

We definitely loved all the previous coaches, and my daughter especially enjoyed her class with coach Zach. Our kid loved going to the gym when he was the coach. I also loved the friendly lady in the front desk. She was kind and I never had to tell her my daughter’s name since she’d remembered when we had to reschedule.

Definitely was a 5 star class up until we switched coaches again. Now our daughter has lost her confidence she built with her previous coaches and is not motivated to work on her skills anymore. I also hated to see long acrylic nails on the coach who comes in contact with the students. (Sorry if that’s not really a problem, but it was to me.)

The most awesome place to have a birthday party! We had kids ranging from 15 months to 8 years old at my daughter's 4th birthday party and they all had a blast! Being able to use the party room is also great, but you do have to be efficient with your time in the party room as you have 45 minutes for party festivities which includes room clean-up. There was a party before and after ours and there were no issues with the parties conflicting or anyones time being cut short. Would HIGHLY recommend as a birthday party venue.

My nephew had his birthday party there and coach Zach & Jordan were incredible and made the experience so memorable and fun for not only the kids but for everyone who participated. They had amazing attitudes, we were all out there flippin and floppin the entire time and so were they which made it so much more fun. I can’t recommend this enough for birthday parties, and if you can, request coach Zach! I had never met him before yesterday and by the time we left it felt like we were besties! The funnest birthday party I’ve ever been to, by far!

I think this is the best gymnastics program in Lexington. We have been to other gyms, but I appreciate Legacy’s focus on safety and really teaching skills to mastery. They stress safety and give a solid foundation - these aren’t just fluff classes. The staff has always been friendly and professional, and my kids have enjoyed all their classes. We love the open gyms, too!

SEVEN YEARS my daughter has been here with little improvement. That could be due to her low muscle tone. HOWEVER the debit card they've billed for the last maybe 4 years expired recently and they called to inform me that because of that, she couldn't attend this month and she could lose her spot if I don't pay today. WHY NOT CALL? Why is she unable to attend classes when a simple CALL would've allowed me to update the card BEFORE preventing her from attending? Going elsewhere. Unbelievable

Not worth the money IMO. Daughter was in class for 5 months and they did the same “stations” every week and was never taught anything new or helped in the skills. The instructor was never enthused to be there and was more worried about the clock than the kids. Never taught the kids anything knew. Expressed my concerns twice and both times was told they would relay them to management, yet I was never contacted or spoken to regarding my concerns. I would not recommend Legacy to anyone wanting their kids to learn gymnastics, and I have heard the same from several other parents.

I signed my daughter up for Parent and Tot a year and a half ago and that class was great, she enjoyed it a lot (the parent is with the child). She then moved to Lil' Foals when she turned 3. I had her signed up for Thursdays at 6 I believe. After a few months, when we arrived to our weekly class as we did each week, the children were already in the class. The coach said the class time was moved permanently to an earlier time, one that I could not make due to work. I was never notified of the changing of the class schedule. So I had to move my daughter to another class time on a different day with a different coach. This new class schedule was a lot busier and there were more students in the class and the teacher was less involved with helping the kids at their stages in the gym. Basically my child and the other children were just aimlessly looking at the floor or standing around while the teacher only helped the one child that was on a station that needed assistance (but the other stations need assistance too most of the time, therefore the kids don't know what to do with themselves). Well after that I finally unenrolled my child back in the fall. Last week, I called to see if she had any make up sessions left from her previous enrollment (apparently they expire when you unenroll but they leave you with one make up class). I was hoping the communication and the attention to the kids would be better. We arrived for this make up class that started at 9 am and after sitting and waiting for lil' foals to be called, I finally had to ask someone where this class was. Come to find out that it was rescheduled to 845am. There was another parent there that didn't know either and both of our daughters missed 15 - 20 minutes of the class. We were never notified of the class time change. I think it is completely unprofessional to change a class time whenever you feel like it and not let the parents know. So my daughter who sat patiently all morning waiting to go in, only got to be in there for about 25 minutes instead of 45 minutes. Waste of money and waste of time. You all should seriously look into getting an automatic text messaging system in place to notify parents of cancellations and changes of class times. Or just don't change the class times at all.

My daughter loves gymnastics, and in Lexington it is THE place to go. We started in the 3 year old class (little foals) in October 2017, and have moved up to Star Fillies and she's 4.5 now. Coaches Jenni (blonde one), Brooke, and Crystal seem to be my kiddo's favorites. She likes the focused, no nonsense coaches more since she's anything but that. She loves to push boundaries, and those coaches keep her on track. The one time I have had an issue with a coach, the customer service has responded quickly and taken care of the issue.

My only (very minor) complaint I have is the cleanliness. I have coached cheer in a similar gym in Cincinnati, so I know it's easy to overlook simple stuff when you've got a ton of kids doing BIG things. But the step stool in the girls room has needed to be replaced since we started... The whole bathroom really just needs tended to.. Along with the floors, ECT. 😂🤷‍♀️ I totally get how this can get overlooked though.

Great job, Legacy!

Terrible customer service. Emailed regarding registering for a camp, no response. Called 5 hours prior to register and was told there was no need as walking in would be no problem and registering in person is easier. Fast forward 5 hours and they aren't accepting walk-ins and we arrived right when they opened. Wasted time and plans cancelled. Don't patronize a business that treats people this way.

Been w the gym for over 6 years. I've seen the gym develop and grow into a place of college recruitable athletes. This is a tough sport and requires a lot of dedication from all parties. Some really low life people must run this business. There is one sign that is basically hidden that advises no parking for the nearby KBA center. My family van was towed as we had no idea we were not allowed to park there. This happened within an hour of parking with no notification. I have been told they apparently have a deal with the local towing agency and love to target out of state vehicles.

All the referenced signage that is mentioned in their response is blocked when vehicles are parked in the lot. That includes the signs at the entry.

In terms of the coaches, content, and skill learning, Legacy is great, and my daughter loves the competitive gymnastics program. The equipment is also top notch. The place is not cheap, it is quite expensive - but then again you do get what you pay for. The teams always perform well at meets. I have 1 minor gripe and that is the billing system. It isn't always very clear when the charge is coming. They could also do a better job with the clarification of the charges month to month at the beginning of the school year, as to how much and when it is coming, because it is a lot of money, and we need to ensure that the money is in the bank!

I am writing to express my sincere disappointment in the camp session my daughter attended. I had planned to stay and watch for a few minutes to make sure my daughter transitioned OK into the camp experience. However, I never felt comfortable leaving, so I stayed and observed the remainder of the day that she stayed (she ended up wanting to leave early).
It started badly, in that not one counselor approached my kid as she entered the gym room for the first time. No one said, “Hello.” No one said, “Hi, I am the counselor and my name is ___. (“…and these are the other counselors”)” No one said, “Welcome! Let me know if you need any help.” Nothing.
She did find the trampoline and started playing. Good. Eventually, however, she found the high balance beam and the high bars. She is four and has never been to a gym before. She saw other, bigger girls doing things on these elements, so she decided to try it out for herself. At no point did one of the 4-5 counselors who were huddled in a corner talking to each other, offer to help or give safety tips for what she was doing. Bad. In fact, at no point did the counselors actively engage the kids at all, except for the point at which they started a pool noodle fight. This activity, of course, quickly devolved into hurt feelings and crying. This did not seem to phase the counselors nor deter them from continuing this aggressive play (which my kid wanted none of and did not participate in).
After an hour and a half of total free-play with no direction or structure, the kids were rounded up and separated by age. My kid was taken to a small room for crafts. It has been a while since I have seen such an uninspired craft: pasta on a string. The kids were kept on this boring task for an hour (something that should have entertained them for 15-20 minutes at the most).
The kids were then taken to a different gym room. I thought, OK maybe now they will engage with the kids, play games, something. Nope. My kid did love the bouncy house and worked her way through that about ten times. But, after that, she wandered around the room playing with other non-engaged kids. Inevitably, the un-structured play devolved into bullying behavior (which was, again, not checked by the counselors). At this point my kid approached the window to the hallway crying and asked to go home. I didn’t blame her. As I was buckling her up in her car seat I mentioned that this camp wasn’t what I expected, she burst into tears saying. “I felt so left out!” My thought was, “Well, yeah, I could see how you might feel that!”
Needless to say, we will not be back. Which is a disappointment. Your tagline on your website is not true: “Summer camp is chalk-full of gymnastics, dance and all-sports activities!” This was not summer camp, this was uninspired daycare.

I used to love this place for my child especially when it was coach Heath was coaching those little kids. However, things went downhill since they started hiring these unqualified coaches and just let these kids go wild and not well supervised, and coaches who are not properly trained with very uncaring attitude toward the little ones. 'Pseudo' coach Solomon lacked all the skills, right attitude and training needed to coach. He gets the kids discouraged from doing a routine and get their self esteem down instead of building it up. He shouldn't be in that position at all. Hate spending all this money to get this kind of treatment for my child. Two thumbs way down!!!

We have been apart of a lot of gyms with a lot of drama (you have no idea..... honestly, you do not). Take this observation from a seasoned gymnastics parent; This is one of the best gyms in the Midwest and it all starts at the top. I see, first hand, the vision the owner has for the sport of gymnastics at her gym. You get quality coaching, awesome facilities, and people who actually care about the sport of gymnastics and your childs development . It will be extremely tough to find any greener grass on the other side!

The Cab that finally picked us up said that this place and David's Towing had a deal going on.. I was in this town for a basketball tournament. The entire parking lot was full with no signs to be found.. I have no family here. I finally found a sign and it says only Omni Center parking.. Omni Center was closed last year so the signs are not even correct. I've been in touch with my attorney.

Very saddened to hear the new Office Manager and the new Director laugh and carry on racially charged comments against the asian indian races with a client ... with other clients standing around (horrified looks on their faces.) Awesome coaches don't matter if you have staff that are racists and even talk about other people and staff loudly at the front desk in front of people. This place has turned into a bad place. I guess the gym owner is too busy "making money" off people to care about what her office staff is saying or doing.
