I have been working with Becky for 3 years now. She has helped me work through injuries and I am so much stronger now than I ever have been thanks to her individualized sessions.

I came to Lowber Pilates with a very specific leg/hip condition that has kept me from exercise for a couple years. Jodey and Kim are very welcoming and the space is lovely. Over the past few months Kim has helped me get back into movement without aggravating my condition, and strengthening training has put me on the road to maintaining a happier level of movement. I went to Lowber Pilates after a hip replacement. Jodey listened to my concerns and created the perfect routine to help work on my imbalances. She has an eagle eye for symmetry, or lack thereof in my case, and is a stickler for proper alignment. She can identify weak areas and suggests fun ways I can modify some of the exercises for home-use in between sessions. I love that with Pilates there is always a new and creative way to increase the level of difficulty. Thank you Jodey, I have made tremendous progress!

What makes Lowber Gallery one of the most exciting gallery in Louisville is Jodey Lowber herself. She loves art and loves sharing the experience of artworks that move her, which is why she has created this space. Art not just for learned critics, but art for all people, recognizing that there is an immediacy to the art experience that all can access.

Art as both a deeply personal experience and a shared communal experience that can bring people together means her selection of art is unique, able to bring in new artists that are not always traditionally lifted up by the art-critic world. This is where you will find our generation's Monet and his friends (whose works were shunned by the Paris art elites). It also means the receptions are that much more of a blast, the generosity of the space embodied in the generosity (and quality) of wine and snacks.

And I just love the fact that its a Pilates place! That people can be stretching and then suddenly have an epiphany with an artwork that had been there for weeks, which really is how I've experienced the power of art, not in the museums staring at art work after art work, but at home, when suddenly the piece hanging over the dining room makes me look up from my chore.

Jodey has been my fitness instructor for a few years now and the experience has always been great. She made me feel at home and like a friend from the beginning when I was in a new city and knew no one. The experience is even better now that she has her own studio. She has a light and airy space to make you (and your pup) feel welcome. Jodey is a great instructor who is excellent at the day to day workout but also knows how to work around injuries.
