Our goal at Man O’ War Fitness is to provide a place where you can forget about the everyday stressors of life, learn the fundamentals of health/fitness and have a kick ass time in the process. Getting fit doesn’t have to feel like work! It should be fun, varied and done with friends!

A great place to have experience as a first-time gym goer or a fitness enthusiast and crossfit junkie. I just moved here from Birmingham and was searching for a gym to join. Tried out a few before landing here. Knowing absolutely nothing about CrossFit. I was very hesitant to join. This place is open 24/7. After hours you get a app to come in. This is one of the better Crossfit Gyms in Lexington. The Coaches there are wonderful and great. Coach Taylor, Johnnie, Graham, and JP give a great energy to the class when they teach. They have a great knowledge of the Crossfit movements. They all can see what the individual needs to be for effective.

This is the greatest gym you could ever join! 24/7 access, a variety of equipment to choose from, and knowledgeable coaches who will help you reach whatever goals you set for yourself. I love this gym. The trainers are happy to show me how to improve my form when lifting. The group classes are for all ages, and the ages in the gym are from 20-70.

Been coming here for over 3 years now. This place is more than a gym, it’s a community. I mostly go to personal training and they always also have classes going on. Trainers and owners are always around welcoming and offering advice to everyone training. They have special workout events and competitions for all fitness level once in a while that a lot of the people training there participate in and those are a lot of fun as well as challenging. There are people there at all levels and it’s inspiring to see how people are showing results over time. I highly recommend you check this place out.

I play rugby and have always preferred athletic/crossfit gyms over the conventional gym. This is not only a great gym with all the core training equipment for athletes and Crossfitter's, but it has awesome staff! Taylor the owner is a great guy and trainer. I'm now a "masters" athlete that has exercised most of my life, but the focus of my exercise was always strength training with some cardio mixed in sporadically. It wasn't until coming to Man-O-War Fitness that I learned that a good exercise routine includes; strength training, cardio, mobility, and balance. The classes at MOW are a well balanced exercise routine that have me in the best shape of my life even though I turned 60 just a few weeks ago. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and are anxious to see you be successful by helping you scale the workouts to wherever you are in your current fitness journey. I highly recommend MOW Fitness and can say that because of them, for me, 60 is the new 40.

Don’t let the β€œCrossFit” term scare you away. There is something for people new to working out, to those in need of looking to reclaim their health, and others looking to push to the highest levels of fitness. The gym isn’t like other big corporate gyms filled with machines that isolate a single muscle group, rather it is setup for doing more dynamic and full body workouts. The information on working out has really changed over the last 10-20 years and the staff at Man O War Fitness (CrossFit) can help you with your fitness goals by way of their classes and personal trainers. My most nervous day was the day I walked in for a consultation, honestly thought about canceling as I sat in the parking lot. Soon realized that all of my fears about not belonging were unfounded for the staff and other gym members have always been supportive and positive. Looking to be a healthier you? Before joining Man O War Fitness, I spent a couple years at a big box gym and loved my time there. After a 7 year hiatus from the crossfit community, I returned back by means of Man O War crossfit.
The facility is in awesome condition. Taylor, one of the owners is kind, easy going and a great coach.
The people I've met are welcoming and the epitome of what a Crossfit should be.
It is also open 24 hours, which is an awesome feature that im excited to experience in the coming months.

You should come in and try a free workout amd see if this community is right for you.

I was in town for about 3 weeks in the summer and trained here with Coach Taylor. Their CrossFit programming is top notch and Taylor is super helpful and attentive to the athletes. It was great to see a bunch of other programs there - Olympic lifting, kids and teen classes, athlete-specifically training, as well as a fully equipped gym with 24/7 access

I found this place through one of their challenge promotions. I was skeptical if CrossFit style workouts and intense diets, but I did what they recommended and made the goal. The workouts are fun and challenging. I was defintely pushed a lot harder than I could go on my own. The coaches are careful to make sure that you are doing movements safely and watch carefully to make sure you don’t hurt yourself. The diet was reasonable, simple and not super trendy. This program works because it’s well planned and the coaches know what they’re doing.
I will say that communication is slow and at times confusing. The coaches and staff are definitely focused on the workouts and not so much the administrative details.

I recently completed the 4-week challenge at Man O' War Fitness. The goal was to lose 12 pounds or 3% body fat. Here are what I consider the pros and cons from my experience.

Pros: This was truly the first time I have enjoyed working out since high school. The owners and coaches are extremely nice, the workouts are well planned and safe, and you find your confidence growing in your abilities from day one. Everyone, including your fellow classmates, is supportive and it's a very positive environment to work out in. The facilities are clean and the equipment is up to date. I ended up going to 15 classes, even though we only needed to do 12 to complete the challenge, because I enjoyed it! The diet plan is very strict, but achievable with proper meal prepping. Overall, I would love to continue with these classes in the future.

Cons: If you need to lose 20+ pounds, you'll do just fine in this program and the weight will probably melt right off. If you're like me (I had lost 30 pounds already this year) and only had that last little bit of weight left to get rid of, this 4 week program may not be the best option for you. While losing weight, I also built a lot of muscle and those seemed to balanced each other out. Overall, I only lost 6 pounds, so I was banking on the body fat loss to win the challenge. I lost 2 pant sizes, stuck strictly to the meal plan, and could tell a massive difference in my body and strength as we got closer to the final weigh-in.

When the final day came, the body scanner malfunctioned, which is entirely what this program is based off of in order to prove that you've won the challenge (body fat and final weight). My original day one weigh-in showed a 29% body fat reading. When I did my final scan, it told me I now had a 36% body fat reading, which left everyone confused. I ended up doing the scan 4 times in total, getting 36%, 32%, 29%, and 27% readings. It made little sense considering I did ultimately lose fat, even if I built muscle. The owners looked into the problem over a period of a few days and I went back in for a final sit-down to figure it out. They ended up offering to refund half of my $300 deposit since I technically hadn't won the challenge because none of my 4 results were at the 26% I needed. While I am happy that they didn't keep all of my deposit, I am disappointed that I did not receive a full refund, as there was clearly an issue with the body scanner and it couldn't be confirmed that I had an accurate reading.

Again, great for anyone who has 20+ pounds to lose and and wants to gain strength - I’d highly recommend it. Hard to lose 12 pounds/3% body fat in 4 weeks if you don't have a lot left to lose. I'd recommend a longer challenge or regular classes.

I joined Man O War fitness in mid-July for a 6 week boot camp challenge and by Labor day weekend, I had lost 22.5 lbs. Clay & Co lay everything out in an easy-to-follow path, just have to stay on the path. The boot camp classes offered a lot of variation in workouts so it wasn't like I was doing the same thing over and over so I didn't get bored. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and encouraging.

They keep the workouts fun and interesting so that they dont get repetitive or boring! Man O War is a great place if you want a gym where you feel like you belong! I did the 6 week challenge and lost 20 lbs and 3% of my body fat. Despite me wanting more to be reflected on the scale my hard work definitely paid off because I got stronger!
The workouts are hard but they make you feel like a beast when you're done. Everyone is so genuinely welcoming and are willing to help. The atmosphere is great all around. Everyone pushes you to do better and cheers you on. The trainers are great and push you because they know what you are capable of despite your own mental blocks. I definitely recommend training at Man O' War Fitness or at least taking a few classes. Thank you Clayton, Jacob, and Keeona for everything. I had a blast!

I completed the Man O'War Fitness 6 week boot camp challenge last week. I successfully lost 22 pounds and 4% body fat following their prescribed exercise and diet program.

Man O' War fitness's staff was excellent. They are genuine, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere of the gym is like no other; it is bright, clean, and full of people who quickly become friends. Although the environment is welcoming and supportive the expectations is that participants work hard.

The trainers at Man O' War Fitness are knowledgeable and walk you through the exercises carefully explaining why and which muscle groups you are working. The trainers push you hard but never in a manner that would injure a participant. In fact, they modify all training for each person's fitness and training level. Every workout is different and fun.

The final transformation of my body was amazing. Fat melted from every part of my body and I grew stronger with each workout. I needed a boost during my weight loss process and Man O War Fitness was exactly what I needed.

I highly recommend Man O' War Fitness because they care about everyone who walks in the door and because of the results I was able to achieve in a mere six weeks.

This is by far the best experience I have ever had at a gym. I joined a challenge and they provided me all the tools to be successful. The work was up to me, and they held me accountable. Since having kids, I just ran for exercise since that was the easiest thing to do and I could bring them along with me. But after a few years, I wasn't seeing or feeling much benefit other than being able to run faster. I needed a change, some variety, and decided to give crossfit a try. I totally lucked out in trying Man O’ War. The whole staff was welcoming, the people were friendly, and I loved my first workout. These folks have since become my friends, and I love the community and atmosphere that Taylor and Jason have built here. We have fun, and I try harder than I would on my own. I’ve gotten much stronger and can do things I never thought I could do before. For people who might be nervous that they aren’t β€œfit enough” to try crossfit - they have various classes, and the coaching staff is great at scaling any movement or workout so that everyone can participate and get a great workout in. Began training at Fit Factory 24/7 Man O' War Cross fit, Jan 2016; since that time I have seen tremendous results in my overall physical appearance. As a 48 year old woman I have, for the first time in my life, been able to do a full push-up. The staff is knowledgeable, caring and patient. Each coach will work individually with each person to ensure they are performing the moves accurately to ensure there are no injuries and that each move is done so the individually has optimal results. I have as well, met some of the most encouraging workout friends. We encourage each other and communicate in a social network to stay focused. This place is a "gem" of a gym!
