Its always hot in this planet fitness. They are always turning the fans down and dont enforce the rule of wiping down equipment. I shouldn't have to spend my time at the gym cleaning equipment before and after use. There is a variety of equipment to use and i like the 24/7 hours.

Id give it a higher score but the music is horrible. It's so loud it overpowers noise canceling headphones. So it's either go deaf or have their noise overpower whatever you're listening too. Asking them to turn it down is pointless. Evidently the Mgr locks the volume and doesn't share the combo with staff. Wouldn't recommend

Music sill loud. Great for workouts. The only complaint I have is the loud music playing. I go to other Planet Fitness gyms while traveling and the music is not as loud. It is hard to listen to my music or books at a safe level. The music needs to be much lower, like in the background.

Let me first off say that the one and only and absolutely the last time I will go in, The first thing is the employee I dealt with was great and tried to be helpful but it looks like once planet fitness tricks and traps you in to a membership that you can’t cancel not even if you go in there, Looks like the only way to cancel is to cancel any card you may have, also do t fall for the separate payment for the annual they absolutely use it to trap you in a membership, I’ll be canceling my cards and never will even entertain the idea of working out here, I’ve called emailed and walk in and never steps foot in this place before today and have tried to cancel before I would have to pay, so again the younger falla that tried to be helpful was great

My home gym is roughly 40 minutes away. I come to this one because mine closes EARLY (7pm 😲)on the weekends. Do better Bville!! This gym is 24/7 beyond clean, never extremely busy and yet smaller than my home gym. And did I mention they have the most amazing hydro tables and massage chairs. Barboursville, WV would do good to come here and take note. Barboursville massage chairs are a torture device and the hydro massage is like a pointless touch of a feather. Ty Ashland for doing it right! I truly am considering changing home gyms!

I’ve been to PF locations in a few different states and this one is still the best and my boyfriend agrees. Yea it’s not the biggest location and I do wish it was bigger with more equipment, but the positives make up for that. Young and helpful staff. Clean. 30-minute workout is a normal Arthur Jones Nautilus full body without the abductors/abductors (thank goodness they are behind a wall). The Roman chair is also behind the wall. There are no Nautilus inverters. It's a very good gym facility no matter your experience or intention. Gymrat stuff behind the back wall.

People need to wipe down their equipment after use or they need staff walking around and sanitizing constantly. We have had multiple friends claim to have contracted covid 19 from this establishment over the past couple years. We had our doubts, however we went one time and immediately contracted covid-19. Stronger sanitation methods need to be practiced and people really need to wear masks when working out. People are breathing heavy and releasing respiratory droplets in the air constantly, which means contracting this virus from here is high. Ensure you wear a mask and/or gloves for the duration of your workout and wipe down equipment before and after use to ensure you don't get sick.

I usually attend smaller gyms, as I enjoy low traffic areas... but I have found Planet Fitness accommodations are more than satisfactory.
Equipment is always where I need it... having to hunt down attachments is awful, and I have never had to do that here. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire place is always clean, which is greatly appreciated.
The only issue I could say I have is the lunk alarm. I've never had it set off on me at this PF... or heard it go off on anyone there... but I have extreme anxiety, and when it goes off my entire workout is deflated. I would much rather hear people grunting than feel my heart fall out my rear end.
Again, it's never happened to me in this location. ❤

Crooks. Cancelled membership months ago and found out recently that instead of cancelling my membership they “froze it”. No idea!! But this allowed them to charge me the annual fee in April and after calling and complaining was given a run around and not called back I got charged yet again. I have been disabled which is why my membership was cancelled nearly a year ago. They ripped me for $65.00 over two deductions in the same month that should never had been taken and on my monthly check… that’s a medication I cannot get this month. The arrogance and uncaring attitude of this place is unbelievable. Please people watch your accounts apparently several others have had similar issues.

Planet Fitness in Ashland, Ky is so friendly & clean. My husband Randy & I love to work out at this location. One of the Managers is Brandon & he is awesome! He’s so professional & friendly. Brandon is the best Mgr ever! He treats everyone like family. Planet Fitness is open 24/7 which makes it very convenient. Everyone loves to work out there. I love the price and convenience of location. The staff is great, always friendly and greet you every time. Black Card will get you unlimited tanning bed usage, Total Body Enhancement infrared booth which is pretty cool and hi-tech. My complaints are that they rarely have a Smith Machine open, they need twice as many considering its the most frequently used machine in PF. And the only thing that really bothers me about this place is its really hot. I just left the gym but when my bf and I walked in this evening, we almost left immediately. I was sweating and I hadn't even started working out yet. I would ask, beg, PLEAD for staff to give me some air but the last times I mentioned it they told me that they have no control over it, its done by remote on the computer. So why is someone who has no idea what it feels like in this gym controlling it remotely? I hate that because its impeding on my weight loss/workout plan because I have to leave the gym before I'm near finished because I cannot handle the heat. Everyone I mention it to agrees its too hot except for the employees who aren't working out and are usually wearing shorts and short sleeves. They can cover up to warm up but what are we supposed to do to cool down? Is there no way to talk to a higher up about cooling it?
