I take my 36 yr old disabled son to Planet Fitness 2 to 3 days a week. The manager is amazing. He is very friendly and helpful. This location has just expanded up to 9,000 sq. ft. more.

I recommend have a notification system of some type for the late night and early morning staff. There is only one person working and I have waited several times for as long as 10-15 minutes for someone to return to the counter for customer service.

The only form of payment that they accept is direct withdrawals from your checking account

And as I go back and read their reviews, many people tried to cancel, had trouble counsel canceling and had an additional month. Our subscription fee added to their account and then they were told to call this place to get their money back because they were overcharged.

Not everybody wants to allow them to have direct access to their checking account specially based on the history that I read of their reviews

A grown man was recoding myself and my underage daughter while working out. I let the staff know and they just walked around and did nothing. He still works out at this location and they will not let me cancel my membership without coming in. I do not want to go back in there. I have called the number and it beeps three times and hangs up. I’m not going to go into a facility that I do not feel safe even if it’s just a few minutes. No. They keep members that violate my rights. I will never go to a PF ever again.

This is not supposed to be a gym for body builders. However, you have body builders here who are allowed to use 2 machines at one time or they monopolize a machine for 20+ minutes, and workers allow it. I can't get my workout done when I can't use machines.

The facility is always very clean and the staff here are all super friendly. I love the massage chairs and hydro beds. The equipment is all really nice and well taken care of. Bardstown Planet is my favorite! Keep up the great work guys!

As we get older we start to fall apart if we don't stay in shape. I was in a 3 car accident, i was in the middle, 4yrs ago and could barely walk. You lose a lot of muscle mass in 4yrs, especially when you're in your 40's. I still have pain, but I'm getting better. The hydromassage chair does wonders on my back pain, I get complete relief of my pain. It might be short lived, but any relief is good relief. I like the fact that they have personal trainers on duty, that can fit you with the right program for your age and any condition that you might have. I would suggest this place to anyone that is over 40 or has been in an accident. You have to fight thru the pain to get better. So this thank you goes out to planet fitness, the staff and the personal trainers. They make you feel welcome and treat you better the family.

Corbin the GM is super rude and unprofessional. Went in to cancel my membership and was told I was already canceled (which was incorrect) then I was charged a member fee. I called to have them correct it & refund my money and instead of decent customer service and admitting he made a mistake (there were 2 accounts he looked at the wrong one) he blamed me, got smart and still didn't fix my problem. He was very immature just bc he got caught in his mistake. Plus they really don't clean their machines well.

The staff is great and the gym is clean. The problem is the equipment is of poor design, especially the 3 smith machines. They have an angled plane of movement and this creates an increased stress on the back when doing certain movements, especially a squat or a lunge. It is very unsafe.

The General Manager, don't remember her name, lied to me when she said my account had been cancelled, after I asked that it be. Reassured me that it was terminated and my credit card was removed from their system. Today Planet Fitness of Bardstown charged my card hundreds of dollars even though I was told it wouldn't and even though not me or my gf have stepped foot in their facility in months. And btw the entire reason we left was bc the staff and others were regularly harassing her and I thought the place was nasty otherwise. Big no on this one.

Account has been frozen for months now due to Covid19. Found my checking account debited for annual fee and month usage. We moved and was told we could freeze our account. That we could come back unfreeze it if we wanted to use their facility again..... They just charged over 40$ on both my and my husbands account And called it an annual fee. We are not close enough to want to use Planet Fitness and we for sure will never use it again after this. Hope you don’t expect a decent shower after your work out. Read the previous reviews and you will see exactly what I’m talking about.
My mom and I got a membership here basically just to use the shower facilities- barely a trickle of water and the water that came out was as cold as ice.
Refused to refund my mom’s money, apparently not having up to par facilities isn’t a good enough reason to refund someone’s money. What a joke. Don’t go here. They only care about taking your money.

Be warned, there are no operating showers at the Bardstown facility. See previous reviews. We signed up and paid a membership fee and made it very clear we were basically using it for the shower facilities only. They took our money and the first time we went to use the shower there was a trickle of cold water only. Went to complain to employee and he quoted "yes we've had a lot of complaints about that". And now they are refusing to refund me my money, and basically stated "that is not a good enough reason to refund you." Wish I had read the reviews first, so be warned! This is a gym with NO functional shower and no cares except for taking your money.

The gym is well equipped clean although apparently the building has a severe hard water problem that they claim they've been trying to fix for months. Taking a shower is a miserable experience. Water pressure is pathetic and shower heads remain constantly plugged. Replacing them appears to be a silly suggestion.

Try it.....can't so if they ever take money out of your account in error you'll spend all day getting the run around. Anyone else have issues..love get the word out. We have a lot of good gyms in town. Stay away from planet fitness in bardstown. Gabrielle in etown planet fitness is nice and treats you like a manager should. We're not that lucky in bardstown. Better safe then sorry and not go to bardstown s PF.

The staff is very friendly and helpful however I will probably be looking for a membership somewhere else. The WiFi goes is frequently slow especially when it's busy but that's not a huge deal.

The showers in the women's restroom is barely usable. Only the tiniest trickle of cold water comes out of the shower and even that goes away when ever someone flushes a toilet.

It's a shame because I love everything else about the gym but I'd like to be able to work out before work.

Kind of small...I don't like how some machines are directly in front of the tread mills and things like that, it makes you feel like people are watching you, they're also in front of a whole lot of mirrors. I don't want to watch myself jiggle or anyone else. I hate that. You have to figure out the machines by a picture and some don't have that much. You're kind of on your own to figure out how things work. Tanning beds are cleaned by the person who used it before you so they're not clean
