We had such a great first experience at Planet Fitness thanks to Jamie! Out of all the employees, Jamie was the only one who happily took the time to give me us full tour and make sure I felt comfortable and welcomed. She went above and beyond to answer my questions, show me around the equipment, and make my first visit a smooth one. It’s not every day you meet someone so genuinely kind and helpful and Jamie really made the difference. Planet Fitness is lucky to have you on the team!

I don't go here anymore, but served me well at the time. Good gym and good people working it. The ladies at the front counter memorized my order at a certain point. ( I would always get the same protien shake). And I didn't even have to go to the register, they would look it up for me and charge my account. Loved that. But I go to image fitness now because it's waaay closer. Sad to see it go 😔

I loved going but then life happened and I had to quit so I called first to have my account shut down so they could no longer take payments out of my account they once again took a payment out of my account. They said it was too close to club Fee day, so I said OK next month it happened again after I’ve already quit now today On March 14, they have once again taking money out of my account. I called to talk to them and the only person that is there on the weekend has no idea How to fix any Problems with accounts now do what you want Like I said, it’s a great gym But their financial Doesn’t know what they’re doing And that’s why I give them one star I will give them less, but I have to give them at least One star

I go for the water aerobics. All ages welcome. Starts about 7:15 it's also about an hour long. She instructor will get u moving. Just wish there was more then 2 in the evening.

I just went in today because I heard about the outstanding massage chairs that are in planet fitness. I was really feeling old when I got in the chair and by the time I got up fifteen minutes later. I'm a truck driver and have enjoyed my PF membership. This has a sink not meant for shaving. I got a smug look from guy behind the counter made me feel like my fat face wasn't welcome. Was gonna sit down and mix some pre workout drinks but that kinda made me want to go cover up my shirt was snug and sleeveless. So I'll get a sweater on and get to it. I don't like being the fat guy. Sure would be nice to feel welcome. Planet fitness is perfect for truck drivers because it's everywhere.

I've been going to this gym for some time now. While the staff is wonderful and the location is very clean, the one thing I'm disappointed in and that I think would improve the gym experience would be a dress code. Some of the outfits I see are nothing more than undergarments and at worst border on unsanitary. Bras without a shirt of some kind are not proper workout attire. Some of the leggings are so tight and thin that the sweat seeps through and all over the equipment. It's disgusting. I'm saying this as a woman myself. The gym should do a better job creating an appropriate environment. And ladies, we need to have more class.

Unfortunately, aging can come with health issues that lead to unexpected weight. I’ve never been to a gym, the thought alone is frightening; Where should I go? How often should I go? What equipment is best for beginners? Is it overcrowded? There are so many questions, I had NO idea where to start so I started here, Planet Fitness in Danville.
To my surprise, I enjoyed my experience so much that I didn’t want to leave but I had a “guest” that was tired. I’m extremely excited to go back and signed up for PF Black Card membership!
Here is why I chose PF Danville:
1. The 2 staff members I met were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, helpful & explained all the benefits including trainer sessions.
2. The facility was clean, welcoming, relaxing and comfortable. There are TVs and music playing but not loudly like a night club.
3. There is an assortment of clean, functional equipment available with QR codes to scan showing how to properly use the equipment with additional stances/positions.
4. It was NOT overcrowded between 4pm to 6pm. The atmosphere was pleasant and we didn’t feel judged!
5. The hydro message chair!! It is a MUST especially after your workout!
6. The APP has EVERYTHING at my fingertips! Track’s activity, calories, time and so much more.
And lastly….7. From the moment I stepped inside not once did I feel unwelcome, judged or out of place. It was completely opposite, as if I had been going there every day to the point I forgot how “frightening” the thought of a gym I once had.

This review may be lengthy but I KNOW there are others similar to me that fear gyms due to “Gym Anxiety”. It does exist, it affects many people and when a doctor recommends joining a gym, that fear could determine a person’s health.
Make that jump to join for a healthier you, we’re all scared of something until we try it!
Focus on your health & weight loss goals. Others in the gym are NOT watching you, at one point they were beginners too thinking the same.
Start slow, have patience and make sure you feel just as comfortable at a gym as I did with Planet Fitness Danville and if you don’t then I highly recommend coming to this gym because you WILL!

I went to see the gym. The guy at the desk was not very excited about your facility. He immediately went to membership prices without even showing me around or asking if I wanted to see. Then I asked him about group classes. He said they occur during the instructors regular hours of 10-6 or 8-4...so I guess those ate meant for retired only people.

Then I asked about the video instructor lead trainings. He said you would need to do that on the app. I said..so there are no monitors in areas to allow you to watch..I have to hold my phone? He said yes. I said well...I can do that at home. He said, yeah.

It looked clean and nice..but definitely not inspiring me to join....or even try.

The bench press and squat racks are usually taken but that's normal. It was great to go any time I wanted and it was a nice environment. Low stars because they make use their app which is okay but you can't cancel your membership unless it's in person. You have an app, a website, and I can call you. Crooked to make people come in person, I didn't have to fill anything out.

This place is alright. You get what you pay for, This place is just a place for parents to drop of their teens and is NOT judgemnet free. Another problem is the lack of free weights, bench press, squat rack, etc. Its just not ideal for people looking to put on muscle and the wellness center is far superior. I love coming to this gym! I suffer from anxiety and depression, so whenever I start to feel bad or down, I come here for a while and I start to feel better. I have lost 120 pounds thanks to my diet and this gym! It is a real life saver. However, that being said, I posted this review in response to another review that berated it just because it made us customers wear a mask, which I have no problem with, especially after losing my uncle to COVID-19 because a visitor to his rest home refused to wear a mask, infecting everyone in it, and killing off 5 other residents with him. To that poster: if you don't give a dang about my life, as well as the lives of my family, then I don't want you in my gym anyway!
