Really solid gym, but they play Christian music on the speakers. Kinda hard to workout while they’re shoving their religious views down your throat.

I typically go to a different location but I was in the area so I came to bardstown road to tan. The tanning bed was filthy (cleaned it myself), it smells like mildew in the tanning room, and when I turned on the bed… the vents that blow air to cool you off while in the bed smelled like pee. I will never come here for tanning again. Disgusting.

Been a Black card member for 2 years, and have never had any issues. Use it mainly for tanning. I went to this location and was told it would be about 5 min, no problem. Then I was bypassed by several people who arrived after me so it was a bit concerning. 10 min later approached the desk and asked for directions to the bathrooms and was told bathrooms are not open to the public. Decided not to confront so instead I am writing a review.

After two.years of membership, I was dressed down by staff claiming that two women complained about the time I was on the Express ab machine.
I was accused without the right to confront the accuser, be given the names, see the report the staff made nor file a counter complaint against the two for using the machines for longer than the posted guidelines. There was witness to this.
No question staff must be better trained to resolve on site.conflict issues and be mindful of alienating members.

First, I would like to say I worked out at this Planet Fitness for the majority of time it has been open. I have made friends with several employees over the years. I go in, work out, and leave. Occasionally, if it isn't crowded, I would stop and talk to those behind the counter. I know the majority on a first name basis. If I see a spray bottle or towel dispenser low, I bring it to their attention. I occasionally speak to other members. Most would say I'm a friendly guy. Recently, I was asked to speak to the DM, who I later found out was named Michelle. She informed me I was no longer welcome because over the years, there had been some misunderstandings. I informed her I wasn't aware of what she was talking about. Essentially, she brought up instances from employees long gone. She brought up interactions with friends as well as issues that I had actually reported to employees as though they were issues I had caused. When I requested an opportunity to respond to allegations in arbitration, she banned me for life from all local gyms. When I requested a refund of my dues, she only refunded a single month, though I had paid for a full year plus the annual fee. She was unwilling to hear anything but her own voice. While I enjoyed my times working out in there, she did not have to ban me to keep me from coming back. Judgment Free, not likely.

It might be a good idea if you ask someone to respond offsite that you respond to their post. Since you wish to sever ties that you refund money that you owe or at least give a time frame for doing so. I have been honest with you. Be honest with me.

Eventually, they did refund my annual fee, including months I had used since paying for the full year.

Harassed me. Falsely accused me of sleeping? What? Who doesn't nod from time to time after a long workout, the Hydromassage bed and room will make anyone easily relax and sleepy. Both Will and Malachi were rude, nasty to me, and called the police on me and I am pressing charges! Even the cops said I broke no laws and did NOTHING WRONG!

I canceled my membership six months ago in person at this location. Signed the paperwork, was told I was all set and wouldnt be charged again, and walked out. Unfortunately I didn't ask for a printed receipt and didn't check my email for any confirmation.

Came to find out that they never actually processed the cancellation and I was charged every month since. When I finally noticed and called to find out what was going on, they told me they had no record of the cancellation. And since I didn't have a confirmation email or proof, they wouldn't give me a refund.

Lesson learned-- always ask for a receipt, but still pretty frustrating they would make this kind of mistake and refuse to make it right.

Nice staff. However, be prepared to pay an annual fee within a month. Overall, nice spot to work out. The app is a nice tool for them. I enjoyed the hydro massage chairs. I would prefer getting the black card membership if you are going to bring a friend along every time. If not, just settle for the basic membership. I only go to this PF.

Due to relocation and travel, I have been to about 25 different Planet locations across the country. Unfortunately, the one on Bardstown Road, which is only a 10 minute walk from my house, is one the smallest and most under-equipped I have seen.

This location only has 3 smith bench units vs. 4 at others, and their free weight/dumbbell area is about half the size. The overall footprint is probably about 30% smaller than other locals as well.

The management response would be to use the app and find a less busy time to go, but that’s already been done and it doesn’t make a difference, as these are always the most frequented areas of a gym during feasible hours for an 8-5 worker.

The situation could be improved by eliminating about 20% of the cardio machines and using that space for another smith machine and more free weight space, as during their busiest times, no more than 60-70% of the cardio equipment is being used.

I had patience and continued to go here for a bit, putting off writing a judgmental review, however the last couple of months have been the final straw. A smith machine has been broke, leaving the situation even worse, and for some reason the overall crowds have even seemed to increase- burdening everything else. Three out of the last four times I have been here, there was so much traffic that I stayed for only 3-4 minutes and left- going elsewhere. If you need to drive 10-15 minutes out of the way, might as well join a different gym.

Plant Fitness Bardstown Road is definitely the cleanest planet fitness I've ever been to. Lots of equipment on site, though not a lot of space for benches near the dumbells, but otherwise it's pretty much perfect. Nice staff that is always working to keep the place in perfect order, I'd highly recommend stopping by here for a workout!

Friendly helpful staff, nice amenities like 1:1 training, water massage chair, tanning, and infrared sauna for black card holders. The manager was NOT cautious about tanning times. Just sign up and go, no talk about dangers or burns. I went too long the first time evidently, red & still in pain. Smaller than other PFs, can feel cramped if you choose the wrong timeframe. One changing room in the men's bathroom, one shower as the other was getting fixed. Lots of people take up space just sitting at a station on their phone, but that's kinda the culture. This is near work, so it's convenient, but otherwise I'd go to a larger one.

I come from Florida and the PF locations down there are garbage. I was surprised at the facilities here. They're top notch. I was happy to have made the switch from the Y. Equipment is in great shape and there's lots of space. Black card was totally worth it for the hydromassage.

The staff at all the planet fitness locations I go to are super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The only reason I'm giving planet fitness 4 out of 5 stars is because they have residential commodes in their bathrooms. I think it's weird that I have to use my hand to flush the toilet and that I can't just put my foot on the handle like at most commercial facilities. It's just bad design

The first time I've been here, the person you guys got scheduled(02/27/2023 3:50am) was rude, seemed like he was judging for a "judgment-free zone", he was nice to my girlfriend but was completely unprofessional towards me, and I wasn't even doing anything but using the toilet. I would not recommend anyone that is trying to better their own lives to not even bother coming to this location. He told me that I needed to leave and that he got to close the place when the location is 24 hours.

I went to my home club on 3000 blk Bardstown Rd. in Louisville, Ky and was greeting with a huge smile by Amia whom not only opened the door the for me, but after a brief conversation about me being a stroke survivor and needing to work my legs in the HydroMassage beds she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The club wasn't busy, so she allowed me to three 10 min massages without having to get up and have it reset (it is very difficult for me). Then, while in the massage chair brought me a water because I couldn't carry it. Amia is definitely the face you want in your facility. She is 150% what is needed in the world today. It was the best experience hands down!! Please give this girl a raise!

Planet Fitness has high quality weight machines, free weights, medicine balls, kettle bells, flat and inclined benches, and cardio/aerobic/fitness machines. To one side you can purchase energy drinks and water from a vending machine, and next to that is a water fountain that has a bottle refill station. There are bathrooms as well.

This place has an exclusive, premium club where extra services like massage chairs are available. There is an app which holds your membership, can find you tutorials and exercises on the machines, and can track a limited set of exercises you log. I find the tutorials useful.

The electronic machines are mostly for sustained exercises for a half an hour or more. They have settings for different experiences like hills and intervals or flat courses.

The personnel are friendly and helpful and responsive when you have a question, problem, or concern. I enjoy this club a lot.

I got a membership at this location a few months ago and it’s been fine up til recently. I accidentally left my $200 pair of headphones in the massage room on a Friday and the next time I came back which was on Sunday, I asked if they had been turned in. The employee said he hadn’t seen them but to ask the next time if there was someone different working. So my bf goes literally the next day on Monday and ask, this employee said he seen them on Saturday but they weren’t in lost and found anymore. He said he’d ask around though for me. So every time my bf went he’d ask about them, he then got told they could be in their safe but only managers had access to it. So I called and asked to talk to the manager. I believe her name was Cheyenne, but she told me she would ask all the employees and look at the cameras then get back with me. Well that was like 3 weeks ago and I never received a call back with an update. So either my headphones were given to some random guest or an employee stole them. I know they aren’t liable for things left or turned in but I’d hope people would have the decency to not give away expensive headphones to just anyone or put them in the safe because obviously someone will come back for them. They should really considering changing their location of the lost and found to where guests can’t see it because at that point anything turned in is up for grabs by anyone who sees it.
