They had workers in their working on the issue at least, maybe have a backup for situations like this so it's not an inconvenience for the customers though.

Our experience was great. When we walked in, we were greeted with a hello and a smile. It was our first time there so that was great. My wife and daughter were able to use all the equipment they needed to because they had plenty to choose from and it was a slow night in there. Lol Definitely looking forward to trying the Hydra massage after a hard workout.

The gym itself is functional & fine. Enough free weights to get in a pump. A decent variety of machines that are well maintained. It’s kept admirably clean. There’s tons of strangely unused space that could house more equipment.

The bathrooms and locker rooms are clean, very clean for a gym. There is, however, a spectacle often taking place in the men’s locker area that I’d be remiss to ignore.

The mirror area frequently draws the attention of young men, eager to view their newfound muscle definition in reflection. Through furrowed brows and gritted teeth, flexed quads and biceps are unabashedly admired at great length by their owners. They seem to possess a libertine, devil-may-care attitude as it pertains to onlookers. They’re probably the kinds of dudes who go to nude beaches or do karaoke. Perhaps there’s a bathroom mirror shortage of which I’m unawares and this is the lone place these budding bodybuilders have for self admiration. If so, I recant this portion of my review.

This is the filthiest club in Louisville. The tanning beds are so old, it makes the 80’s models look high tech. There are bugs, dirt, hair balls everywhere. Worst place in Louisville to work out. I left Crunch because it was cheaper, you get what you pay for. While I appreciate the response, as a business person, I would hope the GM would be well aware of the state of the club without customers having to draw his/her attention to it. I’d like to speak to their boss.

For what you pay its all you need. I got spoiled where I grew up, they had $10 gyms with real bench presses, real squat racks, and dead lift mats. The smiths machines are fine, and there's plenty of cables and other machines to keep you busy while you wait for something.

Middletown Planet Fitness just keeps getting worse. Working out now and watched an employee walk past TWO people on their phones and a dude with a gallon jug of water, and didn’t say a word to them.
Water Dude doesn’t bother me, but the phone talkers do! One of them is now using his speaker phone. Add to that the ripped bench pads and multiple paper towel dispensers that don’t work, and I’m glad I’m leaving here soon.

This place is filthy! And the children working there absolutely do not care. This giant clump of hair and dust was in front of the drink cooler from 4:30 AM to 7 AM this morning. At least three employees, Anthony, the big bearded readhead, and the pale brunette walked right by this over and over again and not a single one of them bothered to do anything about it.

And this isn’t the first time. Earlier this week, the same paste on eye protection had been stuck on to the sanitation bottle in tanning bed 7. I let it go on Monday but when I came back Tuesday, they were still there. I informed Marcella of this and was rudely yelled at and even as I left, no one was heading back to clean the the room.

I asked Anthony for the number to cooperate or the regional manager so that I wouldn’t have to post this publicly. It’s not something I like to do. But Anthony told me first that he did not know any phone numbers and then told me that there is a direct policy that prevents him from giving me the number. Whether this is true or not is irrelevant. I just want everyone to know I tried to avoid having to post this here.

I sincerely hope this place gets better. But judging by who they employee, it will not.

While attempting to get on the elliptical I stood too close and one of the pedals scraped skin from my shin. All my fault . When asking for a first aid box Hope and Anthony asked if they could help and were very safe and patched me up very professionally. This place is very professional in everything they do. A day later the assistant manager called to check in on me. Very impressive. Thanks guy’s for all your help and concern.

You can’t beat the price and the availability. The facility is big and the machines are functional all the time.
There’s enough parking but it’s located next to a trampoline park, so if it’s prime time for them you will have a lot of parents dropping kids and will get crowded

I would honestly give it 5 stars if they fired some of the rude staff. The facility is great. Clean, well maintained. So much for a judgement free zone. Had a mental episode and the Hispanic lady at the front desk was beyond rude to me. I didn’t disrespect or harm anyone and still got banned from the gym. Almost felt like racism but it is what it is I guess. On top of that I was using my twins membership and when he went to explain that it wasn’t him they still refused to let him in. Have had a planet fitness membership since 2012 and they lost a long term customer because of that young rude Hispanic lady. It’s not up to me how that I was dealt mental health issues but the way some ppl deal with it constantly brings tears to my eyes. I wanted to go in there and cuss her out but I’m better than that. Won’t let one bad apple take my peace away. Some people with good hearts can tell when a person is going through something and extend a helping hand but I was just about given the middle finger from her (figuratively) Used to it. God bless

I'm giving this location a 5 star. Mainly for Eric and his attempt at helping me with the "issues" I had. The women's restroom is about 35* the rest of the gym is well over 80* it's a crazy difference and he tried to help, but was unfortunately not able to fix the issue. MANAGEMENT what the heck?

This gym is spacious, great location, clean and friendly staff. (Specifically ERIC) you will love this gym, just not the ice cold temps in the WOMENS locker room.

Rating this location as a traveler, not PF in general. Out of town, rated highest near me, stopped to lift. Compared to most PF Midwest locations, equipment is much older, not functioning like new. Several Hammer strength grips turn, twist in your hands, Cybex weight machines are at least 1, if not 2 generations old, & the “30 minute workout” yellow machines found in all PF, were old, thinned out padding, not great. Not sure what the location can do, but gym etiquette is worse of any gym I’ve ever been to; almost no one wipes down, even during packed peak, groups of kids wearing backpacks or carrying bags leaving on floor, standing 5 deep on machine. PF in generally are good value, this one, especially equipment, is just well below other locations, & no reason to “point out to a staff member” as I’ve seen left for other reviews, 5 people working there talking at the front desk, they know the grips are jacked up & no one walked the floor the entire time I was there

I visited Planet Fitness recently and wanted to give a shout-out to Maya, an incredible employee who made my experience exceptional. I've always used this gym, because it is the closest to my work commute, but recently there has been a neglect to members. I shower daily with no hot water, because apparently the owners don't care. Like other planet fitness and this has a variety of equipment to stay in good shape and you can definitely build muscle and lose weight. Staff is very friendly not so much on a knowledge side when I went to the StairMaster and ask for help the staff members seemed a little clueless on how to reset the StairMaster because it was making a noise finally the person just unplugged it and plugged it back in to see if that would work. I could have done that but I didn't want to mess anything up. Other than that again things are clean well kept they are renovating the Black card area at this time which I'm not a member of don't have time for all of that but again a very good place to get a good workout in.

I came today to this facility with my wife (I have my black card membership) and Nika ( a staff member of front desk ) was really disrespectful with me and my wife!. I asked for coins and tickets to use the hydromassage and I gave that to my wife wich is my guest!. She came to us and makes my wife to stand up of the massage chair while she was using it. I can't believe her behavior against us!. It's the first time someone from this facility does that. I have several months coming and using this facilities. This is a very nice club. Lots of different equipment. Very clean. However their locker room is lacking. There is no shelf in the shower stall to put items on. Only 1 hook for towel and I usually have my backpack so it has to sit on the wet floor. There's only 1 outlet in the whole place to plug in a hairdryer so you have to wait if someone else is getting ready. I wish there were outlets in the changing rooms like there was at Chuze.

This club has employees more interested if you have your mask over your nose than making sure customers are helped or the equipment and floor is clean. Asking a grown up to pull a mask over your nose when you are exercising, social distancing and not sick in any way, is too much. It is my responsibility to protect my health and not put anybody in danger if I am sick. This policy of harassing paying customers is ridiculous. I can find a better place to spend my money every month.

I was nervous about returning to the gym with Covid19. I think planet fitness has done a good job with their setup of spacing out cardio machines, cleaning, and the staff wearing mask. I will fault them that they do not enforce the wearing of masks when clients are not working out. Some people wore them to check in, but most people walk around (not working out), in the bathrooms, and leave without facial coverings. Almost every person working out didn’t have a face mask. If you are nervous about returning to the gym... It is my opinion that you are “safer” working out on the cardio machine away from everyone. However, if you are walking around or lifting weights, it might be a little more risky.

Very unprofessional, started to charge my credit card without my approval after they opened during this COVID-19 situation. When I didn’t use the gym for past 5 months and being charged for it is very unfair .
