The only reason im giving this location 1 star until something changes, the Sunday morning crew is terrible. More than half the paper towel dispensers are empty, the restroom is absolutely disgusting. The works do not greet they are literally glued to their phone. This is one of my favorite locations except on Sundays.

Night shift crew seems more interested in talking and bullshitting than doing their job. Two times didn’t set the tanning bed and the lights in the parking lot don’t work. Not very safe as it is very dark. This is the poplar level gym. I have had a good experience at Dixie hwy and polar is no comparison

Just got home from the gym and it hasn't always been the cleanest after midnight and normally not organized with the weights but today a worker named Kim did an outstanding job! First time i.met him. Very polite, good manners, called me Sir. He literally cleaned the entire place even the restrooms. He put all the weights in order. Normally the hurstborne location is the cleanest followed by St.Mathewes then the 2nd Street location with the poplar level road location being behind them all with cleanliness and organization. But tonight the poplar level road location was by far the nicest, well kept, cleaniest and well organized location I have been to so far. One Man did all this. Well done Sir! Keep up the good work Kim! Proud of You!

This facility is awesome. Very clean while maintained the most courteous staff I have ever encountered from a planet fitness and I just recently moved here from California. Bathrooms are ALWAYS horrendous at this location im talking shit all over toilet seats. staff is typically on their phones or sitting around talking, you can FORGET getting any kind of assistance in the early mornings 5-6 am. There's a blonde female that works most mornings she rushes customers most of the time I have to get out a remind her to set the machine I've asked to use becuase she's quickly marked mine name off a sheet of paper with a highlighter and jumping back on her phone. when this location first opened it was my favorite location now it's a joke to even show up. I shouldn't have to drive across town to use a clean and staff friendly gym when I pay for extra services AT THIS GYM ESTABLISHMENT!

I work out at PF throughout the country. This is the third time at this PF. First day someone was vaping directly across from the desk and no one said anything. Today for my entire hour long workout some guy who clearly doesn’t understand what “vibe” planet fitness tries to enforce kept dropping his weights very loudly on the floor startling me each time and no one said anything. The staff were way too interested in the high school girls they were flirting with when I left; and BTW the guy, was still slamming his weights on the floor.

This is one of many Planet Fitness gyms I have visited in Louisville. This one is by far the best: it is the cleanest one which has more machines & equipment; however, the least populated, giving clients choice without having to wait. Also has the best tanning & massage treatments available.

I just started the gym 2 months ago and I’ve had a decent experience. I was always nervous about feeling out of place but the atmosphere is really laid back. I go at 430a after work and it’s not busy at all, which is great. All the night shift staff is so nice especially Amber she is so helpful and is always keeping the place clean.

There are too many cameras, tv’s, zooms and angles to scale you up and down and to follow you home. Do not feel safe every time I enter this space. Do not recommend.
Try a diy workout:
such as walking around your block, agility workouts in your home or resistance bands. It’s more secure and safer.

Literally every single staff member is so kind and respectful. Had a guy staring at my friend and we were worried he was taking pictures of her so we told the two female staff members and they didn’t waste a second in confronting the guy. They didn’t find any pictures on his phone but the fact they even went as far as to ask was amazing. Girls who go here should know that you are safe here!

I wanted to get my girlfriends son a membership so my girlfriend and him stopped in last night around 9:00 and whoever was working was pretty much unwilling to sign them up for a membership and kept stating that I needed to go into my app to sign them up for membership.

I tried to sign them up through my app but it would only allow me to sign up a guest. So I called and the rep told me since he was only 15 I would need to be with him at all times. COMPLETELY NOT TRUE!

He is 15 years old and once you sign the parent waiver they're able to work out by themselves.

This morning I tried calling again at 7:49 a.m. and was told because of his age he could not work out by himself. This is now the 4th rep. I told them they didn't know what they were talking about as per their policy and on the website states that if you were 15 to 17 years old and your parents sign a waiver that you're able to work out by without them.

At this point I requested I have a manager call me back. A phone call never came so at 10:45 I called again asking for a manager and was once again redirected as if they didn't want me to speak to a manager.

This is now the 5th rep that I've talked to who told me something entirely different. And 2nd request to speak to a manager. Still no phone call.has been returned.

I can't tell you how frustrating this process has been just to sign a kid up for a gym membership. The gym isn't bad, like I said I currently go there but they're training and communication is about the most awful thing I've ever experienced.

I'm not saying they have to have a high level of expertise but should be able to walk a guest through how to sign up for a membership, should know their own policies and a manager when requested should return a phone call.

Planet Fitness gets the job done (although the company's "judgement free zone" policies seem to be predicated on being judgemental?), but it would be SUPER cool if out-of-order machinery could be fixed in a timely manner, especially when they only have one of that specific thing.
UPDATE: the thing got fixed, and the humans who work at this location are lovely. I stand by what I said about the hypocrisy of the company tagline, though. Also, downside of this specific location being huge is how incredibly warm it stays in there.

Best planet fitness experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a good number of them all over the country. Easily the biggest with the most equipment of any I’ve been to, and everything was new and clean and nice. Love how they’re actually open 24/7 and not 24/5 like some places. The free weights section could be a little bigger, with a couple more benches, but I’m not complaining. There was plenty of space to move around and I didn’t feel crowded at all.

This is one of the nicer (if not more crowded) planet fitness locations in the area. It's consistently pretty clean and gym patrons are pretty polite in terms of sharing equipment and not disturbing you. Truck driver, pulled in around 1:30 a.m. hoping to sleep and workout and shower in the later morning hours, upon arrival I checked in to confirm my parking area was ok.
There was only one lady employee who was very nice, but after watching her have to deal with random homeless people just walking in at will, I felt it best for me to get down the road to a location I felt more at ease to sleep..
I'm not concerned about my uneasiness as much as I am about the fact that a woman was there alone to work in such circumstances and feel this location should have a minimum of 2 workers and steps of precaution to prevent so many random non members from walking in at will with no telling what on their mind as I myself at one time was watchful of a possible situation occurring with one of the random walk ins not wanting to leave, not to mention the lady said this is a normal everyday thing and she often has to call the non emergency line for assistance ..this employee should not be left to fend for herself in this potentially dangerous environment.
I'm also an Anytime Fitness member and do like their key fob entry that defers such situations.
I hope Planet Fitness looks into this and no situation ever occurs due to their neglect.
