I am new to the gym, but I am liking it. They have plenty of good machines to work on and the areas are set into workout groups pretty well. The chair massage is really nice. I found that they do have lockers. There are typically a lot of people in there, but they have enough machines to where it's rare that you have to wait. The staff has seemed friendly and helpful. I do plan on scheduling some time with their specialist to see how I can hit my exercise goals better. The place seems very clean and well maintained. The only detrimental thing I could say is there's no track.

I travel all over the country and have used countless PF’s. This is one of the cleanest and nicest locations I’ve been to. Went on a weekday and staff was constantly cleaning. Parking lot was large and clean. Best part was the showers hot water didn’t run out or fluctuate which is a real problem at other locations. They also had adjustable shower head to adjust the water pressure.

I’m a truck driver so parking is first concern and drivers we aren’t allowed in their parking lot but it’s small so we shouldn’t be there anyways, I parked out back on the street and nobody bothered me. Hot shower, cold water fountain, spacious and clean, good location. I’ll be back if I’m in the area

This is probably my favorite location, the staff are always nice and the place is clean. The showers are tiny and there isn’t anywhere to set your things and the hook is outside the stall. They only have 1 of each abdominal machine and the purple machines that seem to be what everyone uses they only have 1 or 2 of each. They have a ton of treadmills and bikes though but a lot of them are usually empty

I've been a member for about 4-5 yrs now and am a regular at my home gym. I like having the black card membership that allows me to use any location in any state. Especially while traveling for work. Having to check out of lodging on the last day, the membership gives me the opportunity to have a quick work pit and shower before hitting the road to the next job or back home. Not having to drive for 8 hrs, dirty, after a full work shift is clutch. All of the locations I've been to (many) are all in a good, clean state and maintained. Every staff member I've interacted with has been professional, courteous and helpful.

I have been going to this gym for three years now and have been satisfied but never motivated to leave a positive or negative review. However yesterday I had a 1 in 1,000 freak accident knocking my earbud case into the casing of a leg press. The hole was just big enough for the headphone case to fall into it and down under the weight stack. I spoke to the young woman working the front desk at the time; the regional manager told me today her name was Julie, and she after inspecting it told me she would need to call maintenance.

I fully expected the headphone case to be a low priority thing (to be fair it is), marked on a note pad to make me feel better and to never hear back about it. I ended up calling my workout early after that and went home. Less than an hour later she called me telling me they had managed to retrieve the case and it was there waiting for me.

Came in this afternoon after work and picked it up. It would have been very easy for Julie to just take my name, listen to my complaint and when I left forgotten about them. Yet she didn't and it was greatly apperciated.

Planet Fitness is a fantastic gym. It's open 24hrs/day, has a crowd meter in their app so you know how busy it is before getting there, there are plenty of lockers, they have changing stalls with chairs & mirrors across from the showers, with wired headphones you can actually listen to what's playing on the TV's while doing cardio, plus a bunch of other things I'm forgetting.

There's an overwhelming amount of cardio machines and hardly any weight machines. Very few varieties in weight machines. My gym back in Canada is half the size but 3x more weight machines.

The staff are not unpleasant but I wouldn't say they are very friendly. Went with my brother in law, staff at the front don't greet you or anything. And I never see them cleaning any equipment.

Floors were very clean, but some of the machines I hopped on felt greasy.

Overall a subpar gym. If you're an old person you'll love it here. If you're a person looking to lift, you'll be just alright. Might need to find loop holes to hit certain workouts without a good variety of equipment.

I canceled my membership in store July 2022. Come to find out, they’ve been charging me still ever since! I called over and over and over, only to be told I’ll get 3 months refunded. It’s now been over a month and Regional Manager refuses to return my calls, the store refuses to give me any number to call and no one will call me back. Now I’ll be reporting them to BBB and start fraud investigation. Appalling, when they can see I haven’t used membership since June 2022 and clearly can see I canceled and was still being charged!!!

I already do not like big box gyms. So, I was skeptical to try PF. Went over last week to see the facility and talk plans. Everything sounded good and she mentioned the annual free of $49 would come out January 1. It was the end of November so okay no problem.

Got home and looked at the ap to sign up for the membership and the fine print said the annual fee comes out on or around December 1. So, I wanted the real date.

So stopped back in today. Walk up to the counter and one worker is there with his back to me flipping through some papers. He then starts talking out loud to another workers over next to the treadmills, turns to walk to her, notices me, ignores me, and continues to walk over to her talking. I think “okay, he is doing something, someone will get me”. He walks back to the desk, and I hear him ask, “how can I help you” and notice he is looking past me at an older gentleman that just walked in the door. He continues to help him with not one acknowledgement of my existence. Strike 1.

Eventually another person comes around the corner and asks if I have been helped in which I said no. I asked her about the annual free and I learned it is not December 1 like the ap says, it is not January 1 like I was told a few weeks ago, it is actually 2 months after you sign up…….so tons of misinformation. Strike 2.

I say, okay let’s go ahead and sign me up for a membership. Then she proceeds to tell me I can do it myself…… another annoyance. Still annoyed from strike 1 and strike 2 I pull out my phone and start doing it myself while she watches. About the time I get to the credit card information she says I will need bank account information to finish signing up. Yup, do not keep that on me. Strike 3. So much for working out today. I leave.

This experience and conflicting information did not help my want to go to another big box gym like this. I will probably pass on this place.

Your employees aren't doing what they are supposed to, there has been several times I've been here and people are slamming weights down, people are grunting, hogging up the equipment, and just being plain lazy on the equipment. It's getting to the point where I want to go to another gym... The lunk alarm doesn't go off no where near enough, maybe get some people that are going to do there jobs, btw there are purple that go to the gym that have ptsd, anxiety, and other issues... please make your management and employees aware of that..

I’ve never joined a gym before and didn’t really know what to expect. Started with a friend and when her work schedule changed, I was comfortable enough to continue on by myself. Have met many supportive people and I can’t say enough about the employees. Everyone is super nice and Brycen has been there since day one. The atmosphere was atrocious. I already hate gyms enough, the machines feel ridiculous, and I never feel like I'm welcome at them, but the atmosphere here was especially bad. It was crowded, loud, and I ended up having a mental breakdown and having to just stay in the locker room instead. This place acts like it's welcoming to all, but I did not feel that way. It was a sensory nightmare to me. This establishment does not feel autism friendly.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. But after my work out, I went into the locker room to take a shower and the facilities look like they haven’t been cleaned in a few days. As I was leaving, I witnessed an employee and I will not mention his name, going into the stall, using the restroom, then coming out without washing his hands. Meanwhile, walking right past the sinks it looks like somebody took showers in them. As I was leaving, he was upfront talking with fellow employees, and not doing anything about the uncleanliness of the locker room.

The staff there are extremely rude and when you ask questions they will interrupt you. And the billing cycles are trash I’ve had people in my family pay theirs and they will say it was not paid when we have proof it was paid. Staff are usually in the employee room talking and joking around and if you want to tan or use any of the black card perks you will be standing at the counter for 20+ minutes waiting on someone to come out. I do not recommend this place at all don’t waste your money here.

I am a old powerlifter just trying to get back in shape at 56 . The free weight selection was no where near what I needed even at my age . And that lunk alarm up on the wall had some kind of foreboding psychological effect on me . Very negative atmosphere . I realized after my very first visit Planet fitness was everything I wasn't . Lasted less that a week ! So I went and joined the Telford YMCA in Richmond . Much better in my opinion !

I travel a lot for work and as a PF Black card member I’ve recently become very disappointed with this particular gym. It’s the only location I’ve visited that insists you clean the tanning beds yourself, also the militant fixation on having your eyewear seems like a way to sell more goggles to adults who are after all responsible for their own visual health. Additionally, one of the employees whose name I can’t remember was extremely rude at the front desk the last time I was there. Things have certainly gone down hill since this location opened.

I decided to visit Berea, where we lived growing up for a bit....near Richmond. I surprisingly found this Planet Fitness in Richmond. Great location, super clean and I had a great hot shower. The best lit facility I've been in so far which I liked. Everything was spot on. It was after 11pm and it appeared to be a very safe area as well...as they all seem to be. PF is a really great gym! Honestly the cleanest gym I have ever been to...seriously, every time I go, someone is always cleaning. It's awesome! I usually go early in the mornings or on my lunch break...It seems to always be super crowded from about 4-6pm, so just an FYI. It's nice having a full body gym without paying an arm and a leg. The massage/hydro chairs are fantastic! I've had a membership here for almost a year and I will certainly keep coming.

I specifically joined this year to be able to come in and do the 30 minute express workout in 30 mins. The problem is no one follows the directions and goes in order. 2 people will come in to do 4 sets of multiple reps, each of legs making the 30 min express routine impossible to do because you are forced to hop around on different machines. I’ve mention this to the usually 2-3 staff members standing at the desk area and they state they are to busy to deal with it. If this continues, the wife and I will discontinue our membership. So I hope management will address this problem so we aren’t forced to quit.

Cleanest gym ever! Always staffed. Lots of cardio options. Decent amount of free weights, but do not expect an olympic bar for dead lifts or other competitive weight lifting equipment. Would love to see a dedicated area for floor work. Great mats, but you have to choose between being out in an open area or near a wall with high traffic. Everyone is nice and shares space, though. Crowd meter to check how busy it is before you go. Lots of free exercise info through the app.
