This is the opposite of everything a planet fitness is supposed to be about.
Loud and disruptive behavior is allowed. No rules are enforced. Even when it's busy, they allow people to superset and take 2 to 3 machines at a time.
The crowd meter will tell you it's only a little busy but when you get there it's actually full and there are no machines available.
If you want to use a bench, you will be intimidated out of your spot.
Workers do not clean the tanning bed so they are disgusting every time you go in there.

Used to be a great place to come work out. Now it’s always so full you can hardly get In there to use the equipment. Forget trying to workout in the summer when it’s “kids work out free all summer” because it’s filled with teenagers sitting on the equipment on their phones taking selfies. I just usually turn around and walk out.

The employees need to clean after the people who don’t wipe down the equipment. Sweat spots should not be visible all over the treadmill. It’s been that way the past few times I’ve been in there. Why grown ppl can’t clean up after themselves is beyond me or have respect for the next person.

Before work I work out, get a good sweat going, and then try to get a shower. Only one shower in the men’s locker room is functional. The other shower has been broken over a MONTH now! To make matters worse only one sink has been functional on several occasions in that month. Numerous pieces of equipment are also broken. The staff is friendly, but if the gym maintenance is so poor, what’s the point of keeping my membership?

Been going here 4yrs now. I really like this location, equipment always clean, most of it in great working condition. The reason for 1 star is all the machine sitting phone watchers. Was watching a machine and bench press i would of liked to use this morning. Guy on machine sat there 20 minutes staring at his phone and never did a thing. I went through 3 different machines and guy on bench press sat down got on his phone and also never did a rep or put weights on bar, just sat there scrolling. This issue needs be to addressed .

Paid black club dues for 3 years to only come in a few times a week to use massage chair due to degenerative disk issues in my back, come in on a non-busy time ask for 30 minutes in chair was told he couldn't do that would rather lose my monthly payment than allow me to use the massage chair in a non busy time for 30. Gonna be really honest for a second. This is a gym. Most people take a preworkout supplement before the gym. A lot of times that causes upset stomachs. In a gym this size capable of holding 3-400 people you all really think 1 toilet is acceptable in the men’s restroom? And then you shut the restroom down and the cleaning lady instead of cleaning just stands by the entrance instead of cleaning? Y’all playing a dangerous game come on now.

I called and spoke to Chris and he said that for those in law enforcement if you have arresting powers that you qualify for a free membership. I called to see if they still did it so I wouldn't waste my time going in there and as soon as I showed him my badge and work ID he took one look and said because I'm Corrections I don't qualify and had some other membership off and gave it a name but it was the same exact price as a normal black card. Didn't matter my ID said I was a sworn peace officer with arrest powers like he specifically told me was what mattered. Took one look at it and said Corrections doesn't qualify and completely dismissed me. Just asked if I wanted the other membership or not and you could tell he didn't even care if I said no or not. Unfriendly and dismissive all the way around.

Well the place is really good yes it lacks some workout tools but it is okay. That’s why i gave it 4/5. However I encountered an issue with one of the desk employees. I would definitely avoid conversing or absorbing his toxicity from now on but he literally tried to trash my piece this morning. When i asked if i am allowed to take some photos of the gym and make a review, he said loudly and very impolitely NO YOU CANNOT WHY IS THERE A PROBLEM??! Some of the machines were super cool, but I am going for cardio mostly before muscle toning. The treadmills don't hold the phone easily while running. Phone shot out from the top of the treadmill & shot out at the wall. Luckily the phone was okay, & I didn't fall lol.

I definitely appreciate pf for being open 24/5. Im a professional trucker and I haul everywhere so consistency is hard to come by from city to city state to state, but planet fitness is one of the few things in my line of work I can count as a constant. Never have I been bothered to move my truck when I’m at one of their facilities I stop at to work out and lose some of this “road muscle” and the staff have always been supportive. I moved from Michigan to Kentucky and when I first got to this planet fitness they were updating, I can say I highly recommend they have totally transformed the gym and it's absolutely amazing,the staff is friendly and kind very helpful! THE staff does an outstanding 👏 👌 🙌 job at keep the gym tanning massage chairs and all equipment super clean! I didn't even see that in Michigan! Super attentive staff they do their jobs very well.. they do offer tanning lotions and deals tanning goggles and lotions locks for lockers and so much merchandise can be bought. They do have cold drinks ready and on hand and anything can just simply be charged to your account making things so much easier ♡♡♡ I was so sad to leave my home gym also a planet fitness in Michigan, but I really did get an upgrade when I got to have the E town (Elizabethtown) KY as my home gym now! Thank you staff for keeping your ts crossed and dotting your i's ! Your gym is so clean 🙌 and has no oder.. very friendly environment can't wait to go back tomorrow and get my work out and tan on!! It's so worth the money! I highly recommend making them your home gym!! You will not be disappointed.. AND THEY ARE A FYM THAT IS OPEN 24/7♡♡♡♡

Nice small location with all the basics needed for a good workout.
Main concerns:
-Brown shower curtains are sheer/see through, people can see you washing your body
-Shower in the corner is very tight and small, how could someone needing to use the chair fit in that shower?
-When Scott left on vacation the restrooms haven’t been the cleanest

I've been with PF now for almost 6 months. I go regularly and do enjoy the spaciousness.. The machines are clean and everyone that works there is nice. FYI: I wish they would install credit card transaction machines on the massage chairs so I could use a 15 minute massage for 5 bucks... that way they could STILL make money and I didn't have to pay for the monthly black card..

The facility is really nice and the equipment is up to date and we’ll maintained, however, the tanning beds are from the dinosaur age, these truly must be the original beds ever made and they are horrible (I wasted minutes of my life and didn’t even feel like I got anything, when everywhere else is 12-15 and stand ups are 9). It’s sad that I have to go to another location when I want to tan, especially when this location is the closest to me. I love the hydro chairs but it would be nice to have a hydro bed. PLEASE upgrade your tanning beds!!!!

I love that all the equipment is new and there’s plenty of space. Not my home gym but I go here on weekends when I visit my mom. Nice gym and it’s very clean but the staff needs to enforce the mask policy. Yesterday a group of 3 guys were working out in front of me and one of them had no mask on at all. He wasn’t working out or drinking water, just standing there talking to a STAFF member. I thought maybe she’s about to tell him to wear a mask, nope guess they were too busy flirting. Long story short, I asked the guy at the desk why that employee was allowing him to not wear a mask when clearly everyone else in the gym were wearing theirs. He acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about and I looked back to point the guy out but he had suddenly found his missing mask. The staff is there to provide a safe and clean place for members to work out and If they can’t do that, I’ll just avoid this gym altogether.

Just joined not that long ago. I love working out when there's not a lot of people due to covid and anxiety issues. I go at least 5 days a week. The staff has been really helpful as well. My biggest concern is that wearing a mask is required to enter and walk around but if you are on a machine you can take it off. The problem with that is NO ONE WALKS AROUND WITH THEIR MASKS ON! Maybe it's too much of a problem for staff to say anything, or maybe they don't want to deal with confrontation. What ever the reason is, it makes me very very uncomfortable.

I will be on a treadmill and people walking right behind me with no mask on. Tonight there was barely anyone there and someone wanted to get on the treadmill beside me and let off a cough. I had my mask off thinking I would be well isolated but that was a very odd thing and this person continued walking around with no mask. They either need to enforce the rule better or change it to where you have to leave a mask on. I get when you go out you take a risk getting sick but if I get covid the odds are I'm going to get it at the planet fitness in shepherdsville.
