My son has been attending the mommy and me class with Coach Megan and she has been great. I see my son picking up moves from the class and using them at home and outside pretty often.

My daughters tried out for their half year program. The place was disorganized and chaotic to say the least. The lobby was so crammed with people you couldn’t move. Our online registration was “lost”.(I had proof of it in my email) So I had to redo it in the chaos. Then they spelled BOTH of my daughter’s names incorrectly even though I spelled them out loud AND wrote it down. The registration staff sent girls into the gymnasium without name tags saying it would be fine. Then the staff in the gymnasium sent them back out. It was hectic to say the least.

The athletes were supposed to be evaluated on both age and skills. My almost 7 year old who has several tumbling skills was placed in a group of 4-6 year olds and never once got to show her skills, but instead was playing games with a parachute. When I approached the staff to make sure she was properly evaluated I was told “they already know what she can do because one of the coaches knows her so it’s fine”. None of the coaches or staff know my daughters. Nor did their name tags match what they had entered into the system for their names.

I requested that my daughters be placed on the same team. Both have several tumbling and cheer skills and have both been cheering for years. But because my younger daughter was never properly evaluated, they put both on an entry level squad. This is an issue for me because if I’m paying hundreds of dollars a month for my girls to cheer here I would like for them to further their skill set, not cheer down. When I questioned it and asked for a reevaluation, I was told no -they were put on the same squad as requested and offered a refund for the registration and uniform fees. They didn’t even attempt to resolve things in any way.

I had been warned about this gym, but we decided to give it a try because it is cheaper than a lot of the other gyms in the area. Well it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. Hopefully they get things together, and figure things out. This was extremely disappointing for both my girls and myself.

They let my grand daughter out a side door to go to the bathroom and she was found by another kid crying her eyes out. I’m thankful for the older girl being her out to the lobby. She is only 4 yrs old and has never been there before. Not knowing how long she had been in there staff never cared she was missing. You should always let the kids out the main door in the lobby so the parents/ grandparents know where the kids are. She said she never wanted to go back there again. Eval night was way over capacity for a fire code. Premier Athletics you must do better for the safety of our kids.

Daughter was there for years. The owner was unkind and the teachers were disingenuous. Little effort was made to foster skills and mentor better athletes.

My daughter, a first grader, went here for 9 months. At first she loved it. But the routine soon became boring, they did the same things every week. I never saw the teacher giving high fives or hardly physically assisting the kids. My daughter never moved up, and I understand this is the building block class and goals need to be met. And I’m not saying they should move kids prematurely …..But after 9 months, I would expect the teacher to TEACH the child so they hit the needed goals. It made me sad that a kid that was super exited to do this for 6 months, started to dread class.

It’s unfortunate that after a year of paying for both my kids to attend here, they switch one of my daughters class times and make it the only option! An 8pm slot for gymnastics isn’t sufficient enough when there were 3 options before. Also for my 4 year old they did the same thing, going from 3 time slots available to 1.

They should put just as much effort and energy into gymnastics/tumbling as they do for cheer & dance.

So this place gets 2.5 stars. The place is ok because my daughter loves the classes, but they also do some things I don't agree with.
So we started on a Groupon for 5 weeks for a discounted rate. Upon week 6 they let us know that we are not on the Groupon anymore but allowed our 6yr old to practice. That was great because any parent would know how hard it is to explain that their child can't do something they have been doing for several weeks. If it wasn't for the following, I would rate this place 5 stars.
At the start of the Groupon I signed up for their monthly auto draft. This was supposed to start at the end of our trial - per the lady at the desk. However, 6 weeks later we get a letter saying we owe 45 for the rest of the month plus a 40 dollar enrollment fee. If your an existing member the Groupon is invalid for you, so the idea was to bring in new people. Why the enrollment fee then after the trial period?
We were advised of the monthly fee of 65 dollars if EFT is set up. They didn't disclose the the 40 dollar enrollment fee though. It honestly feels like they are trying to recoup the Groupon discount. I was also told tonight that even though I signed up for EFT that they don't draft your first payment until we approve it....what's the point of signing the EFT paperwork? I approved it the first day we started. The draft comes out the 20th for the next month. So now they want us to pay the 45 for pro-rated Dec, a 40 dollar yearly membership fee, and then turn around and pay 65 dollars on the 20th. All of this is told on the tail end and not when we first signed up. When asked why, they blamed the fact that we were on a Groupon discount and if we joined like everyone else, information would have been given to us during the tour.
This is counter intuitive, because the role of the coupon was to bring in new people. So all information should have been given up front. I think the real reason why we didn't get all the necessary information early on is because the lady at the counter is always more interested in talking to the cheer parents and coaches than helping the gymnastics parents.
So no notification of hidden charges -1 star. Customer friendly staff - maybe -1/2 star. And finally not charging at the fist of the month for the current month like every other membership driven company -1 star.
Outside of all of that, we will probably still continue to come because it makes my daughter happy.

I used to tumble here and I hated it. All the coaches were mean, I didn't improve my skill what so ever. Would not recommend.
