The place was wonderful, clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. If you are not terribly active though, just be mindful of your limitations. A day pass is rather inexpensive if you'd like to try it out ($20 at the time of posting). Be prepared for a good workout!

Red Point Climbing Gym in Bowling Green, KY, is hands down one of the best climbing gyms Iβve ever been to! The employees are incredibly helpful and genuinely love what they do, which makes for such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell they put in the effort to keep the routes fresh and exciting, which keeps things fun for both beginners and experienced climbers alike.
One thing that really stands out is how clean this gym isβdefinitely cleaner than most! The management is actively involved and brings great energy to the space, and the coaching staff truly cares about their teams. Whether you're an advanced climber, a total beginner, or bringing your kids for a fun day, this gym has something for everyone.
I also really appreciate the inclusive and welcoming vibeβit's rare to find a place that makes everyone feel at home, but Red Point does just that. If you're looking for a top-notch climbing experience in Bowling Green, this is the place to be! Highly recommend! πͺπ§ββοΈ

Nice average little climbing gym. Management cares about the customers and everyone working there seems to like their job and tries to jump in and help wherever they're needed. Management gave my daughter and I a slight discount due to many of the runs being under construction when we showed up. One of the workers was crossdressing, which I feel is inappropriate considering all the kids that frequent the place. There's just no need for that. I'd say about 75% of the runs are set up for advanced climbers, which I feel represent a smaller fraction of the climbers that frequent the place. I think they could do a better job at making more runs for their smaller and less experienced customers. If you have a lot of younger climbers with you they'd have more fun down at the Nashville gyms.

Clean facility with exceptional staff. I was in need of a low impact exercise option and discovered climbing to check all the boxes. Was so excited to see Redpoint was a convenient location and decided to give them a try. Staff is always friendly upon arrival and ready to answer any questions. The gym has quality equipment and prioritizes safety for their members. Cannot recommend Redpoint enough!

Great time for adults and kids (ages 7 and 10). We stopped here during a road trip to get some energy out. The staff was friendly. The gym is clean and well equipped. It has a very welcoming atmosphere for beginners while still reserving most of the gym for experienced climbers. I would definitely get a membership if we lived in Bowling Green!

I've been climbing at Vertical Escape for the last 2 1/2 years. This is hands down the best gym in BG. The staff is terrific!!! I have NEVER been asked or forced to do any activity I was not comfortable with. The staff has ALWAYS been helpful and informative. Climbers are the chillest breed on earth! Everyone is completely stoked to be there and climb. I would HIGHLY recommend VX to anyone; especially if you are tired of the same old routine a the gym and are looking for a different workout.

I was looking to try something new and Vertical eXcape was a great experience. The waiver process is super quick and easy and accessible online beforehand to save time. Just be sure to fill it out for the Bowling Green location and not Evansville. You have a short training video to watch beforehand for safety and it is informative and won't bore you to death. Climbing shoes and harness were provided of course. The instructors do a great job at walking you through your first climbs and were all very friendly. From there you can choose from various different types of climbs. There were climbs for kids, and for beginners, all the way up to advanced climbs. Cool place with a chill vibe if you want to give yourself a challenge and try something new. Great job Vertical.

Our family first began visiting Vertical Excape about two years ago, and we climbed about once a month. We grew to love it more and more, and we finally bought memberships last summer. We are hooked! The VX gym is always clean, and there are new routes set regularly so we stay challenged. The gym staff is nothing short of fantastic. They are always so welcoming and helpful...as is the full VX community! Our kiddos (11 year-old twins) take part in Youth League, and I fully trust the staff and coaches to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment. Five stars!

Okay let me start by saving - I am new to this experience. This was my 2nd actual climbing visit to a facility like this (visited a Nashville location before) And this experience was horrible - I even didn't get to climb! Watched the video and it was VERY informative actually a little overwhelming with info for someone new to this experience. Right after the video I was expected to be able to "top rope" (I believe that is what is called) where you are assisted by someone. I was NOT expecting to even do this activity on this visit because on my first visit (Nashville location) I wasn't expected to perform this task - I was actually told when I felt comfortable to come find an instructor. Which I did NOT get comfortable and I was there for 3+ hours.
So for this facility to start a beginner on this application I feel is unacceptable and OVERWHELMING!. The "language" the video ask you to say while performing this activity I couldn't remember any of it. I told the instructor several times - I am NOT doing that, I did NOT come here expecting to do this activity. I had to say one last time "I said NO". I was basically brought to tears and I almost just left even though I had family with me.
Then we moved to the belaying (unassisted) application - I did do this at the other location. So I knew how it work but at this location I was expected to let go and drop. This again I am NOT comfortable with - from a generation where you "don't climb a tree you can't climb down from". Nashville location you are able to climb down if you wanted to. Why do you have to let go? - isn't climbing down just as much as a challenge if not more of climbing up! Dropping is the easy way out!
But I was allowed to Boulder which I believe is the most dangerous option on site (no ropes). Which I choose NOT to do because at this time I really just wanted to leave!!
So - If new to this experience I would suggest the Nashville, TN location where they allow you to go at your own pace and you are NOT expected to perform every task on site in order to climb. In fact they start you on bouldering so you get the feel of things.
I won't be visiting this location to climb (I'll watch) but if I do decide to actually climb again - Nashville will be my choice!

VX is the Bowling Green areaβs rock climbing gym! As a college student at WKU, the opening of this gym gave me the opportunity to be involved in the larger community of BG climbers as well as meet other college students in the WKU Climbing Club. This relatively small gym utilizes their limited space so well, and the facilityβs humble size makes it an inviting place for climbers of all skill levels. I hope this is the gym that convinces you to try climbing for the first time!

A smaller climbing gym but definitely worth the visit. If you're new to the area, they have an amazing trial membership deal that I highly recommend. Otherwise, they're daily rates aren't very expensive either! There's top rope, lead, auto, and bouldering all available, with a wide variety of levels for each one. The staff are really friendly and will answer any questions you have about climbing. There are new routes weekly, so you can always challenge your climbing skills. One of my favorite things to do in Bowling Green by far.

My husband and I got memberships upon opening, and we usually try to make it out at least 2-3 times a week. The staff is super helpful, especially with those who are first timers or just learning to climb. Safety is definitely important to them, and they keep their equipment in check and offer classes for all newbies. They offer supplemental classes throughout the week, a membersβ training area, and fun events just as an added bonus! Thereβs something challenging for all ages whether you love to boulder, top rope, or both. Youβll make a friend every time you walk in the door, and donβt be afraid to go alone! You can boulder, and chances are someone else would love to top rope with you or let you in their rotation. Excellent atmosphere.
