The best part of the experience when I was younger was the huge slides and ball pit. When they took that out we stopped going. That was great for younger kids with older siblings. They have updated over the years. But I have looked for a similar ball park for years. They are so hard to find. Looks like a fun place though.

As a coach here, I can say Perry and his son Brad treat their coaches great. They are in this business for the kids and go above and beyond for the customers. They truly care. We’ve coached other places and I can tell you they’re the real deal. They always do what’s right and they handle everything necessary right away. So glad we coach here! The atmosphere is so fun and welcoming and they’re constantly making improvements to make the place better.

Just had our daughters Bday party here. Jennifer was wonderful helping me book the party via phone. We had Echo as our host-she was absolutely wonderful! 10/10 recommend having a kiddos' bday party here. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and welcoming.
We did the bowling package, and the kids had a blast!

My brother just played their championship game and the other team kept fouling and the refs did nothing about it. Like they were hitting and traveling right in front of them but the refs did nothing about it. This isn’t the first time either. This happened the last time we played and a couple of times before with different refs. You really need to get your act together. Because I counted about 7 fouls that weren’t counted and we had 0 fouls not counted. Over all they only had 4 counted while we had 6

Great place for an intro to sports, but as a place dedicated to giving kids this intro, my only wish is that they'd use the right size equipment. For a U7 league, meaning 5&6 year olds, I was very surprised that they use size 6 basketballs. Size 6 is for adult women and boys age 12-14. There are kids that can shoot a size 4 or even 5 well, but there are so many kids that just can't get a ball designed for kids 7 years older than them up to the hoop. This seems really bad for player development and with $1 or 2 more per kid for one or two sessions they could easily buy a handful of size 4s and 5s for games. The only other negative is that admission prices for games have really gotten out of hand. If you want to bring your family to watch, plan on budgeting another $75 bucks or so just in entry fees to watch your kid play.

Outdated bowling lane. We signed my daughter up for a bowling league through school and the lanes, balls and pretty much everything in the area are not well kept. There’s no coaches for the league either, but I guess with the league being kids it doesn’t matter. I was quite surprised overall. I’ll be glad once the league is over and won’t be back.

I've never had my kid play at a place as disorganized as this facility, I'm not surprised more kids haven't been hurt while playing basketball. II have seen so much unsportsmanlike conduct here that the refs just turn a blind eye to than anywhere else we've ever lived. This place is a hot mess, Parents beware!

Very happy with Sports of all Sorts and their volleyball league! Great environment for the kids especially when you have a child that is not "ready" to play club. They are very flexible with team placements and working to make sure as a coach (and player) you are setup for success. My daughter also really enjoys the opportunity to come to the weekday open gym (as part of the league fees) to get in some extra playing time with other girls from the team. Highly recommend!

One star is too generous for the travesty of a sports league masquerading as an acceptable choice for youth basketball - Sports of All Sorts. Our experience has been nothing short of a comedy of errors, but let me assure you, we are not laughing.

Where do I begin to untangle the knot of disorganization and lackadaisical nonchalance this company represents? The overpriced entry fee, perhaps? For the price tag that accompanies a spot in the league, you would expect premium service, quality coaching, and an impeccably run organization. Instead, Sports of All Sorts greets you with a masterclass in chaos, confusion, and casual indifference.

Adding insult to injury, the audacity of charging parents an additional fee just to watch their own children play is nothing short of preposterous. If you thought your contribution to the league would cover such an obvious aspect, you are mistaken. You'll have to dig into your pocket once again.

And let's delve into the tumultuous game scheduling. Unpredictable as a weather forecast, the last-minute changes resulted in my child missing two games during the season. It appears that Sports of All Sorts has a blatant disregard for the commitments and schedules of its participants and their families. These basketball games aren't meant to be impromptu pop quizzes; they shouldn't be sprung on us like unexpected guests. The mayhem of reworking work schedules, axing existing plans, and scrambling for last-minute transportation due to these abrupt reschedules was nothing short of a logistical nightmare. The collateral damage? Our children, who are left to grapple with the anxiety and confusion of these capricious changes. The blatant disrespect for our time, and the strain these changes imposed on the children's preparedness and morale, is wholly unacceptable. It's a glaring example of this company's chronic mismanagement and apathy towards its customer base.

Let's talk about coaching. Our coach, not to be named, was as inattentive as a teenager with a smartphone addiction. An opportunity to guide young minds, to develop their skills, and foster a love for the game was squandered in favor of chit-chat with his pals. "Coach" is a title he does not deserve - he's a bystander in a coaching shirt.

Now, onto the staff. To call them unmotivated would be an understatement. They seem to be in a perpetual state of confusion, and asking them a simple question is like trying to get blood from a stone. A simple request for a band-aid turned into an episode of amateur sleuthing, as the teenager manning the refreshment counter was flummoxed by the concept of a first aid kit - which, I might add, was sitting in plain sight right beside her.

Sports of All Sorts is a misnomer; it should be named "Sports of All Shorts" for the many ways it falls short of expectations. This sports complex has managed to turn the beautiful game of basketball into a ball of stress, disappointment, and wasted money. I am astonished at their ability to transform something meant to be positive and engaging into an utterly frustrating ordeal.

In the end, my family and I have chosen to abstain from any future participation with Sports of All Sorts. And I wholeheartedly recommend that you do too, unless of course, you enjoy overpaying for underwhelming experiences. There are undoubtedly better-run, better-organized, and more caring basketball leagues available for our children. They deserve better than Sports of All Sorts, and so do we.

Edit:
And, as you see from the owner's reply, all you'll get in return are excuses and "whataboutisms".

I did not talk to the Director, but my wife did.

The teenagers in their first job need leadership, not excuses.

The schedule changes had nothing to do with standings or "competitive environment" as my son's league didn't even keep score. And, I received zero emails about any of the changes. We sometimes got a text from the coach the night before games. Other times, not. Still doesn't change my complaint.

Do better. Have a great day.

My kids love the Summer camp. I have a kindergartener and a 5th grader and they both find something fun to do. The staff is attentive and kind. Anytime my children have reported a disagreement with another child, they address it. Camps are so expensive these days and it's nice that this one is reasonably priced, includes the meals, and offers a lot of fun options.

AVOID SUMMER CAMP!!! My child got seriously injured needing stitches and dental work due to lack of proper oversight at their summer camp. They do not separate kids by age leaving smaller kids to get pushed around, and in my son’s case injured. My son reported that kids almost fell off bleachers while there, they were fed junk food, and watched a PG13 Spider-Man movie, which they turned off only after a child started crying. Not okay for our kids!!!

Men’s league is nice to watch. Always people getting hurt and referees making terrible calls always makes for interesting games. Some of the unsportsmanlike conduct is fun to watch and some of it is just sad. Bathrooms are clean but the language around the facility not so much. Still, I’d give 5 stars because who doesn’t love a good broken bone or fight every now and then.

Went during the day twice to take kids bowling while visiting family. I will say both times the guys that helped us were super friendly and apologetic.
The bowling lanes are barely functional and I had to reset the pins multiple times.
We asked for the arcade games early and he was kind enough to turn them on. When I bought a game card he explained that some of the games don't function but to just tell him and bring the card back to reload what we lost.
Over half the games didn't work and a third of them weren't on. Kind of disappointing when you give $25 to play. At the end the game card didn't calculate our tickets right so no prizes. I didn't want to mess with it, as I was getting frustrated.
Their recreational options need a lot of work.

Granddaughter was playing in a tournament this weekend at this facility. Ran by a team out of Cincinnati (Lady Tigers) but because that team is our enemy on the court they the (refers) took it upon themselves to make lots of bad calls, throw parents out, and just be overall nasty to our team. That’s sad when kids just can’t play the game and UGLINESS SHOWS UP!

Couldn't ask for a better facility for getting your family active. I have been a parent, coach and fan at Sports of all sorts for 20+ years now. Watched it grow into the place it is today. A place that is going to grow even more in the future. Can't wait to see their new facility and all of the things it will provide for our children and theirs. With any great facility and business. It all starts with a great owner and this place has one the best in Perry Wing. The best part about Perry is you might mistake him for just another parent or fan. Although he is both he also the owner and manager. Keep up the great work and thank you from our family to yours. See you soon

My experience was was great. It's a very fun and family oriented place. We go twice a week for volleyball. Only complaint I would have is when you pay for an 11 week session which isn't cheap. You also have to pay 3$ a person to watch the games. The price for admission should be added to 11week session. But other then that no biggie. It may need an upgrade on the food and beverages. There's no variety nothing to choose from.

ZERO social distancing at kids' basketball;; games. (12/19/20) four courts going at once. Parking lot overflowing. No apparent restriction/control of spectators. No visible person counting heads inside the building. Staff members weaving through patrons emptying trash with facemarks below the nose. I would avoid until this place gets a better protocol in place given public health circumstance. Parents crowded around courts packed in. NO staff members circulating or monitoring pacing.

My son has played basketball here for a few years now. Facilities are great, he's gotten in with kids and coaches he likes and seems to really enjoy his time there.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of hiring Andre Riddick last fall through SOAS as an early Christmas present for my son. I paid for 10 private lessons and 4 group lessons for $300.00

I was completely satisfied with the work Andre put in with my son on the basketball court. After 3 lessons, Andre quit communicating with me for weeks. I went into SOAS and spoke with Perry Wing, SOAS Director. He said he'd speak with Andre and get back with me the next day.

After a week, I was sick of waiting. I emailed Perry and told him I'd just prefer a partial refund at this point. He told me that wasn't possible through SOAS, I'd basically have to fight it out with Andre. Of course, Andre got a hold of me the next day, blaming the communication problem on his phone and offered a refund, but said he'd rather continue the lessons if we were up for it.

Long story short, I foolishly said yes and continued the lessons. After 4 more lessons, communication stopped again and I basically gave up. So for $300.00 my son received 7 out of his 10 private lessons and none of his 4 group lessons.

I still feel that SOAS is responsible for making this right. I paid SOAS for the service and they contract with him for his services. Because of this, I tell anyone who will listen to stay away from any private lessons given by Andre Riddick.

As an unexpected Christmas present, my son learned a valuable life lesson. People are looking to screw you at every turn.

Eric

Follow Up: 9/18/18

Perry Wing got in touch with me immediately and offered a refund for the portion of the services my son did not receive.

Perry could not have been more professional with his response and I am satisfied with the outcome.

Thanks Again,

Eric

If you're looking for beginner/recreational basketball for your child, I DO NOT recommend this place. If your child has advanced knowledge and skill of the game they should be ok. In speaking with other local parents it is an unspoken truth that this league is basically just a practice league for the advanced teams. So instead of actually learning and being taught, they're basically written off. There is minimal instruction and communication is poor at best. Completely disappointing and would never sign up for a league again. The facility itself is fine. But if your child is looking to learn or become involved in a new sport, this is not the league for you!

This place is a terrible organisation. You have head director taking personal vacation day on tournament days and not allowing the front desk to have access to any rosters or info you need. All they care about is money and truly not worrying about your repeat busy what so ever. I would recommend anyone who is considering this place to go to town and country.

Horrible horrible horrible!! Signed up my son for soccer and never had contact with the coach and had missed two practices because he "forgot to call". Then we never got the pictures we paid for. Even though we had a horrible soccer experience we tried out volleyball. Hopefully it was the coach. Nope, the teenager who collects registrations told us games were early Sunday morning and over by noon for her she group. Next thing we know they were in the afternoon which didn't work with our schedule. Perry, the sports director said "oh well" in a nut shell. I would never have signed her up knowing the times of the games. This place is run horribly and don't recommend for anyone.

Brought our kids here and they had a blast! Had pizza and drinks, even had high chairs available for our baby. Friendly staff, overall great experience and close to home.

I only use the fitness center and it is huge but not imposing. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Locker rooms and showers are immaculate. They have gyms and bowling alleys in addition to the fitness center. It's sort of out of the way for me but I go there regardless because of the staff and atmosphere I highly recommend Sports of All Sorts. Lots of programs for the kids and family. They are very family oriented.

Sports of all Sorts is a wonderful place to bring your kids bowling. They have basketball courts and a huge fitness facility. The staff is polite and very professional. I would highly recommend signing your kids up for any of their sports.
