Anytime Fitness is a terrible place to get a membership. Once they lock you in, you cannot cancel, and you have to pay a $200 fine to cancel, which is ridiculous. I will never get with them again. Even if you are just able to afford it anymore, they still want to charge you, terrible place. They want your account and routing numbers so you can change them, which is crazy to me. I didn't know they had another option where I could go month to month; they trapped me into a whole year, but once you have the membership, you're locked into it. Even if you can't go anymore, I can't give my pass to someone who can use it more than I can. You have to pay extra for any guest to accompany you. Never again. Once my membership is up, I am getting out of there.

Called about a membership and the girl who answered was sarcastic and got nasty with me when I asked her basic questions about pricing and their gym. After reading their reviews, it’s obvious they’re fake and not just that but their employee is even asking to be mentioned by name. If you want to look good for your boss just be a good employee. No need to fake it and run off potential customers like you did with me. Find a job where you don’t have to deal with the public if you can’t act correctly.

Nasty staff and environment and the least welcoming gym environment of my life. After just moving to the area, I stopped in for a tour and the dismissive office worker who claims she was the manager was such a turn off I ended up leaving. She was playing on her phone while I was seriously inquiring about a membership. It was a mediocre environment at best with old equipment and a locker room odor, but I was considering joining for a couple of months while I got settled, and still giving them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even get that far and left because of the employee who treated me like I didn’t matter. I think her name was Connoly or something like that. Regardless, don’t waste your time. What a joke of an alleged fitness center.

I decided to cancel my membership after being a member for roughly only one month, equipment fatigue set in quick as this gym offers just the basics. After cancelling my membership, they charged me $250 because it was an early termination and not the whole year. Unnecessary STEEP cancellation fee, but I did agree to this so that's on me (they will have no leniency with this even after just one month, very corporate). Big issue is, I've been charged TWICE more for the standard membership even after cancelling. This place will suck you dry if you want to get out of your contract.

UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE: I'm aware of how to use the equipment in your gym, but thanks for the offer.

Those bi-weekly charges y'all collect even after notice of cancellation ON TOP OF the $250 cancellation fee may be your policy...that doesn't make it right; unnecessary money grab for sure.

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. The staff are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and supported. The facility is spotless. I honestly cannot remember a time I went in and did not see someone actively cleaning or tidying up.

One of my favorite perks is the free body scans, which are super helpful for tracking progress and setting realistic goals. They have all the equipment you could possibly need and then some.

If you visited this gym a few years ago like I had, you will be amazed at the improvements. It feels like a completely different place in the best way.

Whether you are just starting out or have been training for years, this gym has everything you need in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great location, decent enough equipment but had to cancel for my safety when a homeless woman entered the gym during a late night workout. When I was leaving the gym she followed me out. There was a white truck sitting outside the front door blocking my vehicle in. Spoke to someone else about the situation, they tell me it’s common for homeless to frequent this location

This place is being renovated and the "men's" bathroom is closed, so I ended up using the "women's" to shower. They're individual/private bathrooms so it doesn't make sense to gender them. This is the only Anytime I've seen with gendered bathrooms in my travels across the US and Canada. I suggest they change that. Maybe it's already coming with the renovations...

Love my Anytime Fitness. Not just because I can access it at anytime, but just the wide range of equipment, classes offered and personal training. I signed up for personal training with Julian, and he has helped push me to places I didn't think I could go. He explains each exercise, how to properly do them, what we are working, and why we do things in a certain order. I did a trial program for one month, but will be signing up for the month program. The changes in 1 month have been great, and can't imagine where I'll be in 6 months.

I froze my account a few months ago, was told it would un-freeze in November and I could call anytime to cancel.

Well I called, and their policy has changed. You have to email their billing department AND give a 30 day notice. I was never given a heads up about the 30 day notice, so I’m going to be charged for an extra month. Very shady.

I know their new policy is pretty standard for gyms, but it’s the bait-and-switch that has soured me. I was never warned about the 30 day notice, I would’ve cancelled up-front if I’d known

I really enjoy the location of this Anytime Fitness. The people who work there as well as go there are all so nice, friendly, and welcoming. Some of my close friends I met there because it fosters such a great community. I was nervous being a woman at a gym and going to the weight machines, however I have never felt uncomfortable or unmotivated going there. My husband was at his previous gym for almost 20 years and came to join me here because of the location as well as the hospitality it offers!

After several attempts to reach owners threw Anytime online reviews with no results I’ve decided to go public. After several managers who’ve had no luck with ownership this Anytime is the bottom of the list. The equipment is outdated, dirty, and in need of repair. When equipment is replaced it’s replaced with home style equipment which is not quality equipment for a gym. There is no proper cleaning of bathrooms, showers or tanning rooms. The floor in the free weights and squat rack room is a trip hazard area due to sunken areas and bubbled floors. The flooring in the gym needs replacing both carpet area and rubberized floor. Trash cans on weekends are overflowing and hand sanitizer stations are usually empty due to no staffing on weekends or proper cleaning crews. I’ll be going to other Anytime’s like on Canal St or Mandeville which are more in line with Anytime Standards.

This location for Bluestar Investments LLC dba Anytime Fitness had the best manager they ever had until today. Unfortunately the owner Luke Andrus decided that the manager Danielle's hard work ethic, drive, employee/customer relationship, friendly,outgoing personality wasn't quite good enough. My opinion he was threatened by a strong female. This is typical in a corporation ran by men. He hated the fact that she spoke up for HIS members grievances and advised him of their needs. This in turn led him to showing his face around the facility and addressing the concerns which would cost him money. We all know men don't like to spend money. In true form he will reap the kudos of the upgrades even though he was against it the whole time. I truly believe once you get on top don't step on the little guys that helped you get there. This was unjust and just another power trip move.It is their lost and lakeview will truly miss Danielle. Wish we could vote Mr.Andrus out and Danielle back in.

Besides this place being an outdated dive. Even if you are not under contract they will not let you quit and keep charging you. I’ve been an on again/ off again member at this location since about 2008. Recently joined again in 2023 after moving back to NOLA, and was pretty disappointed to see it looks exactly the same, just significantly more worn down. Definitely feels outdated and unclean.

And I’ve noticed the weird smell that other reviews have mentioned. It’s very off putting.

Staff has been fine from what I’ve seen, but there’s little they can do to counteract the fact that this location is in desperate need of an overhaul.

Mid, I’d like to say I’m a connoisseur of anytime fitness gyms as I have been to quite a few across these 50 United States. This one was a hard no after a few attempts at a good leg pump tonight. Most of the equipment Is dilapidated and archaic especially the leg machines and squat racks.The water from the fountain tasted like ethanol but I’ll put that blame on the city. The low ceilings gave me a a fight club vibe and I will say the lighting was pretty good but the full body mirror in the male shower has horrible lighting preventing me from mirin my non-existent leg pump. The poster board which is intended to be plastered with motivating quotes and local business ads was empty, do better.

Under new ownership. Car jacking in the parking Lot recently. Very limited equipment, my wife hates how it smells. I could list dozens of problems, however it’s open 24 hr and 3 min from my house.
The Canal St location is super nice. Today they built this strange “outhouse looking” room in the middle of the free weight area. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😢🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The local lady’s who run the gym day to day are very nice, but they have limited resources from the higher up’s.

I workout here for locational convenience. Staff is friendly. Weekends are good because it’s empty. Limited space in the weight room and on busy week nights that’s frustrating. From what I can tell, This is an older location, but still one of the better locations in NOLA. The equipment is nautilus, which is older but different from other locations. They do have alot of precor cardio equipment and glute machine. They have multiple sets of dumbells and kettlebells. In terms of square footage its also a larger location then others. Its also at an easy to find location in NoLa at Tobert E Lee and west end.

I always enjoy coming to this location rather than the one closer to where I live because there's no intimidation at all. Everyone we've encountered is super nice and welcoming each time my sister and I come in. The managers have been great and helpful as well. The only issue I have is I wish the free weight section was a bit bigger because I feel like I can be in the way at times, but aside from that I enjoy my workouts and I will continue visiting this location as long as I'm able to.

Has a great spread of equipment (two squat racks, multiple benches, dumbbells exceed 100lbs, tons of cardio equipment.. treadmills, ellipticals, bikes you name it), with wet wipe dispensers to help keep the machines clean. Nice size restrooms and showers. They have televisions spread around the gym, along with free WiFi, fitness magazines at the lounging area, and vending machines at the door.
