The classes were very fun here! Took the kpop class and the teacher brought great energy the entire time and was very thorough with the explanation of the dance moves.

I came for one class, just to try. It’s been six months and I keep coming back. I love Artivism, I love the mission, I love the classes, I love the people

I have a heavy work and grad school schedule, but whenever I have spare time I love going to Artivism classes.
Sarah's contemporary class on Saturday mornings really opened up my body to new feats that I never knew I was capable of and now I'm always rolling on the ground creatively.
Tyler's Hip Hop class is also a great staple for me to really build on my foundation. I love the traveling options he gives within his choreo, it helps so much.
Kyro and James also taught the Krump class and it was so much fun! Really did a great job of breaking down the basics and teaching everyone the importance of supporting each other in their self expression.
I always feel appreciated at Artivism classes on an individual level. Love it!

I love this studio!!! The classes are so engaging and fun! The staff is very professional and knowledgeable in their art form. I enjoyed every minute of my classes! I feel so welcomed every time I take a class. They also have a gorgeous and clean studio. I will definitely be going more often! It’s also a great workout for anyone looking for a fun way to exercise! I have already recommended them to new dancers in the city! Thank you!

Artivism Dance is not only excellent in terms of quality dance performance with a focus on social change and justice, but is also a superb studio for learning. My experience with learning at Artivism Dance was entirely encouraging, supportive, and educational. My dance experience is beginner (I'll have a blast on the dancefloor of a wedding, but "skillful" is not the descriptor); but the class instruction has been knowledgeable, inclusive, and challenging in the best of ways. It is easy to tell that the instructor has a great breadth of knowledge and passion for their art that comes across in their teaching. Artivism has a plethora of passionate and superbly talented instructors and performers; but I can personally attest to Jordan's skillfulness and cannot recommend his Breaking class highly enough.

Artivism is one of my favorite studios in New Orleans! They create a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere in all of their classes. I always leave feeling so happy. They do excellent work both in the studio and outside the studio. I recommend them to everyone!!

My 4-year old daughter has been taking dance classes here for a while. Their format fits us to a T. We can come one week and not worry about missing if we are out of town. I also love that the goal of the classes are body awareness, fun, and movement based. We had previously gone to a more traditional dance studio where I had to pay over $200 just for leotard and dance costumes…for a 2 year old y’all. Some may be into that but I’ll never make the switch back given this option!
