Today, I sent an email requesting services. Received email back stating "declined". No specific reason was provided or additional options provided. When I tried to reply back to the email to see if additional dates were available emailed was undeliverable. Perhaps, my request was denied with no options, due to me having to cancel a previous request due to a family emergency. During that time, I was a Care Giver for 6 elderly relatives. 3 of them passed away during the the last 6 months. God makes no mistakes!

After speaking with new management at Balance Yoga. I have a change in heart and decided not to allow one bad experience determine my complete outcome. I always enjoyed Restorative Yoga here and I want to treasure that awesome experience.
Positive change will always make a difference. I am grateful to edit this review. I challenge others to do the same!

Balance is my peaceful oasis in the city! Wonderful cozy space, skilled instructors and nice variety of classes. I love to listen to the bamboo outside the window during Savasana 😌
Skip the crowded downtown studios, Balance is truly a special place where you'll feel at home.

The absolute best place to practice yoga in New Orleans. The atmosphere makes you feel like you have traveled somewhere in South Asia with the large bamboo swaying in the wind. β€œA Stay Yoga Retreat Vacation”

This is my favorite yoga studio in the country. I live in Rhode Island and travel all over. I think of this place often. When I visit Nola, I purposely find a spot near this studio so I can go every day. Love the instructors, love the vibe, love the space, love the schedule, love the natural humid heat. So much to love about this place. Can’t wait to go back!

I went there for a community class. The instructor did an excellent job giving me alternate poses etc as I am not very flexible and nee to Yoga. Overall a positive experience.

New to this studio, I tried it out with the 8 class pack. I found the align and flow classes to be astounding. My body was glad after each class, having the joy of growing in strength, balance, and flexibility. My soul was glad in the same way. The pace was somehow slow & peaceful and yet tapping into the deeper places of energy on the body. The teachers and this studio space offer a peaceful and transcendent experience. Will return soon.

I recently moved to Mid City and have the fortune of being walking distance to Balance. Although I chose the studio for the convenient location, I have been blown away with the quality of instruction and the atmosphere! I am completely enamoured with AJ, his pre-asana insights, his pleasant demeanor and phenomenal ability to describe alignment cues that really land in my practice.
I am recovering from a broken wrist and have shoulder and back injuries that can be problematic at times. In the past, I have been frustrated by yoga instructors that try to put me in their perceived β€œcorrect” positions that do not work for me. This is not my experience at Balance. I feel completely supported by all the instructors; they have the experience and empathy to know that one size does not fit all in asana.
I highly recommend Balance Yoga and Wellness!

This studio is awesome. I love their Mysore classes and led primary series. Their vinyasa classes on Sundays are great for when you want to move but don't want to do a super intense and sweaty practice! The teachers are super knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. This studio is so cute and feels like a little home. Love this place!

While the teacher was excellent, there were numerous issues for me during the class. First, the room was very hot and smelled like body odor. There's a trend going on the last few years where yoga studios refuse to turn on the air conditioner no matter how hot it is outside. They think that the heat is good for you when I know for a fact it is not good for everybody. They wouldn't turn on the AC today and instead they used a fan. And in New Orleans it gets super, super hot. Then, there was a crying baby right outside the door of the room. So for a good 20 minutes of class there was a baby crying very loudly. Then for the last 10 minutes of class there was a lot of clinking from the kitchen heard while we're trying to relax. And for the last pose there was talking outside plus constant clinking of dishes from the kitchen. Some people might not be bothered by this, but for me when I go to yoga I like to tune out the world and really have a peaceful quiet environment. If those kind of things don't bother you then yes, the teacher was fantastic.

Joined this studio using the 10-class groupon and tried a variety of classes (mostly vinyasa) with different instructors, who all offered something different. Did Tracey's class a few times which were great. The studio has 2 yoga rooms on nice wooden floors, offers mats to borrow and complimentary towels.
