I don’t recommend going to this gym unless you like being scammed, I told the gym I wasn’t in the place to afford the membership and still used my card information to start a membership. I told the gym staff team member Anthony to give me a moment but that I would make a call to see if my dad could help me with the 60 dollars start up fee. I told him I couldn’t commit that day but would return when I had the funds. I looked at my banking statement with a charge of 60 dollars that I did NOT approve. Wonder how many other people they have done this to.

Gym is great but the daycare in the morning is not. I’ve witnessed the daycare manager giving attitude to my child and other children. My child always cry’s a lot when here but not at the Harvey location. I refuse to bring my child back. The other daycare worker is just on her phone not paying attention which I’ve seen witnessed on multiple occasions. I refuse to bring my child here anymore. They are not professional.

Club4 Fitness is nothing but a scam. This is the third time they’ve taken money out of my account without authorization. I never bring guests, yet they keep making up charges and excuses. There is no customer support at the gym, nobody takes responsibility, and the workers are flat-out disrespectful.

It feels like they are robbing members instead of valuing them. I’ve never dealt with such shady business practices from a fitness center. Stay far away from Club4 Fitness unless you want your money stolen and your concerns ignored.

Facility is nice, clean, staff is friendly. Although I canceled my membership because they started to force you to install an app in order to scan into the gym. It was easy to cancel online, but they do charge you for an extra month in order to cancel. Scummy business practices.

It does not state in your membership policy that I have to use an app in order to scan in. I was also told by a staff member that you do not give out cards, when your policy clearly states to use one. Please see below.

I’ve been a member off and on . In all honesty there is always something you’re dealing with concerning bogus rules that put people in uncomfortable positions . Noon should be asked to work security at the door denying access to non members . With the state of peoples mental health these days you’re asking for a problem . Charging people hundreds of dollars for not stopping to see if everyone coming in at the same time has a membership is deranged . If you want security over your building . Simply hire an overnight associate . I don’t work for you so therefore I shouldn’t be asked to be put in uncomfortable situations that can become unsafe . I’ve done it numerous times almost getting in fights . So I stopped and now have had to cancel my membership because I chose to be safe and not confront people . Seriously stop putting your members in unsafe positions and hire an actual employee . I hope that I’ll get feedback and not ignored like I’ve been told you all do .

The worst gym you could ever join.

My wife and I were charged $494 in just one month just because we used the same phone to scan in, even though we each had our own active membership. They counted us as guests every time one of us entered without scanning, as if we didn’t have a valid subscription.

We also brought a guest with us 3 times, expecting to pay $15 per visit, but instead, they charged us $50 each time, without any clear explanation or prior notice.

Worse yet, they didn’t respond to our emails, and every time we called, they delayed us without giving a clear reason. They refused to send us an invoice showing the “violations” we supposedly committed. When I joined the gym, I asked about the rules, but no one explained these important details.

We never received any warnings — no emails or messages — before they suddenly withdrew around $300 in extra charges, on top of the monthly membership and annual fees.

Even if rules exist, there should be at least a one-time exception or a reduced fine, especially when it’s clear the mistake was due to a misunderstanding or a lack of communication from the gym.

Be careful — this gym lacks transparency and takes advantage of minor mistakes to increase charges.

Love the gym, love the crew! Been a member for going on 4 years now and lately I have been very disappointed in this establishment with keeping up with their equipment. I was out of service for 3 months and couldn’t attend the gym and returned with the SAME equipment STILL broken… plus some. At this point they should give me a discount on my membership because I can only use half the equipment. Not sure what’s going on with the repairs but with the amount of people and members this gym has … this is unacceptable and should be addressed quickly. I am thinking about terminating my membership due to this and taking my business elsewhere which is very sad because I love my gym family!

Overall good gym but certainly has room for improvement. All the batteries need to be replaced in the machines that count your reps. Lots of weights on the floor, make guest re-rack or kick them out. Most front desk workers just scroll through their phones and never acknowledge guests walking in and out. Except Shannon, Shannon’s awesome! Yah… Shannon!!!

I love the equipment and the fact that I can use the gym early in the morning. There are enough treadmills and other equipment for everyone to use. The bathroom is large and spacious. Well this is the one place you set off the “Lunk Alarm” when you accidentally drop a 30lb dumbbell. But in all seriousness I love that the women’s locker rooms are kept clean and tidy. There is a nanny who wears glasses, her name is Veronica, I think she intimidated my baby and she is already scared. I feel that she lacks the tact to take care of the children while they play. My little girl now cries because she is scared. I made the observation to the person who was there at that time, then I saw through the glass when the nanny looked very badly at my little girl, intimidatingly, and now what they did is put the glass in a way that you can no longer see the children from the part where one takes dance classes... apart from that bad service, the entire gym is very good.

*Important Note: As of 2024, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has implemented new "Click to Cancel" regulations requiring businesses to:
- Provide cancellation methods as simple as the sign-up process
- Allow cancellation through the same medium used to sign up (online, in person, etc.)

**Update: the company replied:
All policies are listed in a 10,000+ word document that all common people should have time to read and understand, with out the aid of legal, and pick up whatever portion negates the "Month to Month" non contract marketing (not listed in their reply) that the FTC is against in the manner it's being sold. lol

Never had a problem with this gym until I canceled and stopped going. I didn't sign any contract that would require me to maintain membership longer than 1 month. I canceled my membership on location maybe 5-6 months ago. Now all of a sudden I have a collections firm calling me looking for $250. I suppose the staff member did not properly cancel my account. Moreover, again, I never signed a contract that would require me to pay. In the worst case, nonpayment is cancellation. I haven't been to the gym since cancelling that day so I'm effectively being hounded for $250 in which I didnt put any wear and tear on the machines, didn't so much as dirty your floor because I haven't been there in 6 months. You're not getting $250 for a membership I canceled and was no longer using. GFYS. Scam ass gym.

I signed up from the opening day, it was great at first. Great management but for some reason upper management removed that crew and ever since the gym personnel lack common sense, they are completely incompetent, they don’t know anything, places is sweaty and dirty, restroom are filthy dirty and poor odors. Beware that if you cancel they will continue charging your card, if you stop payment they will continue to trying to collect considering that if payment stop, membership is terminated, considering that the membership is month to month terms not an annual contractual membership. Machines being out of order can be an issue, but it's easy to work around if the gym is not too packed, which most days it is really packed.

Overall, if you have kids, and need to get a good workout in for both mom and dad. This gym is the place to go for both childcare and price point.

I’ve been a member of club 4 for 3 years now and I love my gym. For a short period of time, the ladies restroom would get absolutely disgusting BUT since Ms Carol has started working at the gym they are 1000x better!
She is always there every morning at least 15 minutes before 5am. She literally cleans the entire time I am there and i typically leave at 6-6:10. She is so incredibly sweet too! There was one morning she came up to me and actually thanked me for wiping down the machine after I was done using it.
Ms Carol is a HUGE asset to our gym hands down because I’ve noticed there seems to be a high turnover of employees especially in the early hours. Ms Carol is a GEM and truly deserves a raise no doubt! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication Ms Carol! ❤️

So I have been with club 4 for about a year. I have to say the new manager and employees are awesome. I usually work out between 5am and 5pm. So I feel I should give a shout out to the 5am opener Carol. This lady comes in makes coffee and cleans while taking care of members signing up or making purchases. I became a member when the gym opened in 2020 (so please don’t tell your readers “according to our records you have never been a member or visited here”, that seems to be the pat response when a negative review is submitted). I very recently cancelled my membership due to the horrible decline of the gym. When I first joined in 2020 the gym was the best. Great equipment, great atmosphere, great management. Not so any more. The gym floors and bathrooms are dirty and stinky. Many members reek of marijuana. Much of the equipment stays broke for weeks, maybe months. The lights on the water filters are usually red. The worst part is staff and management, who are either rude, incompetent or arrogant. Also, there are certain biases amongst managers, staff and members, which I won’t detail, but is very appalling and obvious. A change in upper management is needed!
I stuck it out for some personal and private reasons but I’m glad to be gone now.

Signed up for this gym before it even opened, i think it was right before covid. Been a member ever since. At first this gym was awesome and clean. Now the gym has gone way downhill, at least 4-5 machines down at all times now, the water fountain filters are ALWAYS on red and the spout is all dirty, the cleanliness over all is not well at all. The management is poor compared to what it used to be. The team members will walk pass the water fountains all day and see its on red but not take the time to maintenance it. Napkins are a hit or miss, most of the time its empty or the rollers not catching. Id say at least 6 of the treadmills are missing the speed buttons, i was jogging today actually and my sweat dripped onto the exposed chipped and actually increased my speed unwillingly. I went over to the gym three times already to correct a payment. They told me to change it to my checking account and it’s supposed to be $17.46 a month and they still charge me $19.46 a month last month I reversed the payment and they charged me a $20 late fee, I spoke to the assistant manager Andi she is very professional. She did her best to correct it. We spoke to the general manager last month and she said she was going to credit it back to three months and the $20 late fee and she never did nothing on it. I go into somewhere and somebody or something they don’t The assistant manager, Andi Is very professional and she knows how to take care of business they should make it manage and get rid of the brio manager that they have right now because she’s useless so moving forward I put my credit card back on file and I’ll be paying $19.46 and I will never see the credit for three months and $20 late fee.

This Gym used to be the cleanest gym with machines that were cleaned regularly, bathrooms that were spotless, floors that I could eat a bowl of spaghetti off of.. I don’t know when it started to go south for this gym, but it sucks to see how bad it’s gotten with currently 5 broken machines, the bathroom is so bad that I’d rather go to a nearby gas station to do my business, and the floors look like they’re about ready to be replaced. Like I said, this gym used to be one of the best we have in Kenner, now I’m thinking about switching to The Zoo ( which should say a lot, if you know what I mean ).

Club 4 still has potential but they need to step up the game and take care of responsibilities around the gym, I believe in this place.

This company has a scam going on. I paid for a basic membership about a year ago and have attended at least 4 times a week or more. When I went to check in yesterday March 15, 2024, the membership wouldn't work. It didn't recognize my membership. Once I inquired they told me it was cancelled due to "insufficient use." I got no notification about this issue nor any warning, let alone what constitutes "insufficient use." What I glean from this is if you have a basic membership and after a years use, they come up with this excuse to get you to pay again for membership since the basic membership is so cheap and you are using their equipment too much. Keep in mind that every time I entered the gym I checked in on their scanner, so they have a record of all who enter and how many time entrance is made. So to come up with "insufficient use" is a scam excuse to get more money from you over and above the monthly charge. Be careful of this company before you join. If you don't belief how bad this operation is, just Google "Club4 fitness complaints," and see all the pitiful reviews including those on the BBB. I'll be making a report to the BBB and the federal trade commission about this operation.
In response to the owners false accusation below of my cancelling membership you have no proof of that. And the record of my entrancing the gym record will prove this. You all cancel membership on people you think haven't paid enough and are using the equipment regularly. As I said, your company is a scammer and only is out to charge another membership fee. I will report this to the BBB and if you use that false reason that I cancelled, produce the proof. A complaint is also being filed with the federal trade commission and they may look into this matter as you all have many complaints.

I just joined today and idk if I will like it. I couldn't use my 3 day pass because it doesn't come with childcare, which is strange. The staff is not that friendly. I'm not joining to socialize with the staff so I can ignore that. Only one staff member welcomed me. The child care is okay. My children had fun and the lady working the child care seemed nice (thank goodness for that because if the child care staff was rude I would've canceled my membership with no hesitation). The child care area was clean too. The gym is very busy. I couldn't use the machines I wanted because of the long wait times or the machines were out of order. I'm going to continue to give this gym a try. Hopefully I can like it more in the future.

Buyer Beware: be very VERY careful. While the gym is beautiful and bustling with patrons there is one HUGE negative to someone with a new membership and it is this: you are going to be pushed until you break to sign up for training sessions. While they tell you that you have access to trainers and they make it seem free with your membership that is NOT the case. So you will go in for an initial meeting with the training crew and thats when the pressure starts….. can you afford this or that until they wear you down and you relent. This is exactly what they did to me AND on top of it, the way they sold me on training sessions was to assure me that I could cancel at ANY TIME and that I would just have to pay a $50 penalty to cancel. I have a job where I am not always in louisiana, so I was NOT about to sign any type of long term contract for training sessions and asked many times if I got started and found that it wasn’t for me could I cancel?? Assured MANY times that cancelling would be easy, all I had to do was come in and cancel in person.
Imagine my surprise when I went in to this establishment, sat for 45 minutes waiting on someone in PT to assist me, scanned the QR code and filled out the form to cancel ( yes they make it be MANY steps) and then received an email from the company that my contract locked me in for 12 months!! Over $1,200 for a year and If I wanted to cancel, I could buy out my contract for $600 and some change with nothing to show for it.
It has been a back and forth battle between me and corporate. Corporate is assuring me staff would never tell me such a thing - asking “who said this to you ma’am”. Well Everyone in your PT office chirped the same thing so that leads me to this: either your staff is trained to be shady by design or someone in that PT office doesn't understand how difficult it is to cancel and what the terms are. I don't believe for one second that your staff doesn’t know, on the contrary they are probably working for bonuses that require a specific number of sign ons each month.
So again, buyer beware because I am sure I am NOT the only one this has happened to and if this is how you have to work to make your gym profitable it’s really super embarrassing……..

I love this place. the GM is super accommodating and all the staff are really helpful, kind, and friendly. Everyone is always willing to help figure out the machines and the place is always clean. They create an environment that makes the majority, if not all, gym goers feel safe and valued.
The kid care is incredible and the manager and staff there are also so sweet and kind. My kids have bad separation anxiety, but somehow they love coming to the gym. They sanitize everything and the kid bathroom stays locked to insure kids don't play in the bathroom without their parents. They have a large variety of toys and activities for the littles. These folks are angels because it can get chaotic when there are lots of kids but they still handle their job with grace.
My kids and I feel so welcome here.
I am not originally from Louisiana and I don't have family here but this gym has made me feel so much more attached to the city. I am forever promoting C4F to my neighbors and friends. Super grateful for this place! The staff deserves their weight in gold, truly.

Love this Club! Been coming to Club4 Fitness for a few years now and it is by far the BEST gym in Kenner. The staff is great and the personal trainers, Brandon and Davon are TOP NOTCH! I also love the body pump classes with Michelle and Lindsay. This is definitely a club where when you walk in, you feel you belong! Everyone on the staff and other members are always helping and encouraging each other to reach our full potential. I will start by saying I hope this review is able to help others before they get scammed like I did.

In April 2023, I called the Kenner location to cancel my membership as I did not go to the gym anymore with some personal things that happened in my life. I was told that my membership was cancelled and the only charge I may see would be my annual fee that could not be cancelled which I was understanding of which was charged in August 2023. I then did not receive anymore charges from Club4 until November 2023 when they started to charge the typically monthly payment again. This payment was autodrafted from my bank account and I did not notice until January 2024 (I will take the blame there). I then called the Kenner location to ask why I was being charged again. I was then directed to ABC Membership Services to dispute any charges and that my account was not cancelled and was instead frozen in April 2023. I never requested this to happen as I asked for it to be cancelled. I was told be ABC Membership Services that they could not refund the monthly charges because they did not have cancellation confirmation. I then call the Kenner Club4 location back and ask for a manager. I spoke with Anthony who was very polite and tried to go through the timeline with me. He stated my account was only frozen (which I already knew at this point) and tried to explain to him that I should be refunded for charges I should not be charged for as I asked for my account to be cancelled and not frozen. I was told I should have received an email with the confirmation of my account being frozen. I told Anthony I never received an email confirmation in April and looked through my email while on the phone with him. After talking with Anthony for 5 minutes, the phone was then taken from him by Alex Escobar (claims to be the general manager). She starts by stating her name and with a very aggressive attitude asks how she can help. I stated the same things I discussed with Anthony. I was still calm at this point until Alex stated "sir we have already cancelled your account what else would you like us to do?" I, with as calm of a voice as I could, stated I would just like a refund for the monthly charges from November through January that I should not be charged for as it was Club4's employee that frozen my account when I asked for it to be cancelled. She stated with a very negative attitude "we can not refund the charges." I asked "So I am just out $100 because of something your employee failed to do correctly?" I was told "Yep. You can leave a Google or Yelp review!" and hung up on me. This is the same general manager that can be seen in a video on Facebook stating that another member was harassing the employees when he was just calmly asking a question. The video was shared on January 9th 2024. There seems to be a real lack of responsibility by the owner when you allow a "general manager" to talk to your members this way. I would love to discuss this further with the owner (you should have my contact info in your system since I was a member). Either way, I plan to have my lawyer be in touch with you, as there is no where in the contract that tells you to cancel only at a specific website that you also need a number for that an employee at the gym must provide to you. I hope this helps others not get scammed out of money like I did.

PLEASE BE AWARE! I signed up for PT and the employee of Club 4 cancelled 5 of the 10 sessions we had schedule but yet the club still wants me to hold up my end of the agreement and do a buy out at half the price of my sessions. It’s absurd they don’t hold the employee up to the agreement but try to hold the client to. I have sent in evidence showing the sessions were being cancelled! I have paid $883 so far for a total of 5 sessions. This amount of sessions should have cost $180. I contacted corporate but they have been silent and will not resolve the issue. Again please be cautious very unprofessional on Club 4 fitness corporate end for allowing this to happen! I will escalate this complaint to have it resolved. VERY DISAPPOINTED

@CLUB4 KENNER just revoked my membership because they don’t like the fact that I exercise with my friends and think I am “training clients”. They claim that I am stepping on their toes and taking revenue from their gym and their trainers. I’ve heard horror stories about this exact issue from friends/mutual friends in the past. I visit this gym with the intent to join, but quickly change my mind with my first encounter with Alex. She was dismissive, texting while giving me a tour, and not enthusiastic at all. Everything seem rushed and when I asked question she was very rude with her response.

I worked in customer service for over 20 yrs and this was one of the worst customer service I experienced. After reading all the reviews it confirmed what I experience. The young lady in the daycare and one of the trainer there were very welcoming, but Alex definitely wasn’t.

This is my home gym, I get my best and my most workout here.i live life on the road so I can’t wait to come home to workout. I’ve been a member here for a little over three years and have seen several managers. However the way the facility is being ran now exceeds my expectations, that’s in part by how I see Alex stay on top of things, I personally witnessed it. The restrooms are cleaner even if she has to clean them herself of which I’ve seen her do and many other factors that I’ve observed while working out there that she and her staff has done. I use to like this gym but majority of (not all but just about) the female staff have funky attitudes. They recently changed their policy where you can no longer bring a guest for free with the $25 membership. I wasn't aware and had one of my friends come join me for a workout. As we walked past the front desk a male worker stopped my friend and asked him if he signed in & my friend told him that he was my guest. I asked the male worker if they changed the policy and at that point a big sloppy, wide back, bison built female employee responded "yea, and we sent out emails and there's fliers posted about it all over the gym." Mind you, I was not speaking to her, I was speaking to the guy who was originally addressing my friend. When I asked her where the signs where about the change she ignored me and stormed off to the back. Canceled my membership and I advised everyone I know not to go to this specific location.

PS, you can't find me in your system because I CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP. Like I stated in my original review. And if your guest policy has always been the same, that shows how careless your staff is because I brought a guest with me for free for the past few MONTHS that I had my membership. So it sounds like they have issues with safety as well, because they let anyone just walk in. Would NOT recommend.

Additionally, the unavailability of essential amenities, such as toilet paper, is an ongoing problem. When I approached Alex for assistance, her response was both unprofessional and discourteous. Her reluctance to promptly address the issue and the audible display of frustration create an unwelcoming atmosphere for members.

On a positive note, I would like to commend the exceptional service provided by the daycare staff and acknowledge the efforts of the red-headed lady (dont know her name but shes a sweet red head) at the front desk, who consistently demonstrates a helpful and customer-centric approach. Perhaps, sharing her approach with Alex could contribute to improving the overall service quality at Club 4.

In conclusion, I believe it is crucial for the management team to address these concerns promptly. As a dedicated member, my intention is to see Club 4 maintain its reputation for excellence. I appreciate your attention to these matters and look forward to a timely and effective resolution.

I have been a member of this gym for quite some time, but I can no longer stay silent about the appalling conditions and unprofessional behavior that I've witnessed lately. This gym has reached a new low, and it's time to share my honest feedback.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of this place is a disgrace. The gym floor is constantly littered with trash, and the workout machines appear to be in a state of perpetual neglect. It's obvious they haven't been properly cleaned for a long time. And don't even get me started on the bathrooms – they are a horror show. I've encountered the same clump of hair in the shower on my last few visits. That's just unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the staff's behavior is nothing short of shocking. Instead of being helpful and professional, they lounge around, cracking inappropriate jokes, and even mocking the gym members. The atmosphere they create is one of discomfort and disrespect.

But the icing on the cake is the new manager, Alex. Her attitude is beyond awful. She seems to relish in flaunting her authority and treating members and staff with rudeness. Witnessing her interactions has truly put a bad taste in my mouth. It's a shame that she doesn't channel some of that authority into ensuring the gym's cleanliness and overall improvement.

In conclusion, my experience at this gym has gone from bad to worse. It's disheartening to see a place that should promote health and well-being fall so short in terms of hygiene and professionalism. I sincerely hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to address these issues promptly. This is your typical "friendly, helpful, gym" when you are signing up. Now that we are cancelling, they refuse to help. I went in and cancelled the membership in May 2023. I asked for a receipt of the cancellation but was told there was nothing to give me and that I would receive an email confirming the cancellation. Never received an email but assumed it may have went to Spam. Currently receiving emails stating that I have a past due amount for the months of June - present. Called the location to ask how could I have past due amounts. The lady said I would have to pay the past due amounts to cancel and that I would have to come in to cancel. I explained I did this already. She said she is unable to help me over the phone. Don't join here unless you want to be given the run around and waste your time.

my daughter recommended i join this club. i gave it a shot on the three day pass, really nice place and really cheap for everything you get. staff is friendly they offered me a tour and showed me everything that came with my membership.

I had been waiting for some of the workout machines to get fixed, and finally they did! I also noticed Alex is super sweet and helpful and my husband and I are thrilled she speaks Spanish.

Worst manager ever I seen in my service industry experience kenner branch assistant manager Alex showed her anger , bossiness rude approach and careless attitude towards clients. I choose to introduce my friend gym she was so disrespectful and bad in her tone / behavior top of that her manager after addressing the whole situation. He told he you did good and bath did say sorry and apologized to their behavior . And Alex told me planet fitness gym is giving better service, membership and price you should join there . She gets pays from club for fitness but prompting planet fitness. So I took her advice and forced to myself not taking this nasty way of treating their Almost one year old client . Few months before also one of staff member stole my bank account information and charging me on my account for two memberships. When I found out I had very bad experience to resolve and I had to take complaint to the police action then they took that matter seriously. So be aware to get stolen your account information and getting worst manager. Don’t know how she got hired or how after knowing what she is doing to the clients as new assistant manager and kissing clients still there . Waiting for there apologies manager and Alex assistant manager. They owe big time and this way they will shut down soon and the she can be manager for her own anger and rudeness

But she saved me and my friend . Not to deal with them anymore. I canceled my membership and told my bank can’t charge me for nothing .

I was about to join this gym but thanks to the rude manager Alex she saved me to join this place. Thanks to her I am not going to waste my money.she advised me and my friend that planet fitness has better membership so we should go there not here. Now I am curious she works for club fitness or for planet fitness.
