I stopped in to try to train because the gym I had originally planned to train at fell through. Tara really went above and beyond in making sure I was all set up to complete my programming! And all the members I interacted with were nice. Highly recommend this gym!

I love this place and the family feel surrounding it. I was worried about frequenting this place as a woman of color, but everyone makes me feel welcome every time. Workouts are great and starting cross fit makes me feel like I can do anything.

After being a member here on more than one occasion and testing out other CF gyms in the area, I can confidently say this is the best CrossFit gym in Ouachita Parish.
Having started CrossFit in 2009, I’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry over the years. One of the nice aspects to Iron Pelican is how it reminds me of the cf vibes from years ago. When you enjoy showing up and seeing your friends, it encourages consistency. When You get proper instruction at each class, you learn in a safe environment.
The staff and all of the members are welcoming, enthusiastic and motivating. There’s no cliques. It’s not focused on money, guilting you into being there or pushing things you don’t need.
Iron Pelican is what a modern CrossFit gym should be and others can learn from it.
Show up, get fit! You won’t be disappointed being here. It feels like home.
I can’t recommend it enough.

Besides having the best name, Iron Pelican was super welcoming. I dropped in one of the 6am classes during a cross country road trip. The coach was very welcoming and friendly, and did a good job of checking my form during lifts, which always makes me feel better about a box/coach. There was another coach doing the workout at that time, too, and he was also really friendly and gave me some great rowing tips after class.
