Honest review been coming here for 6 months already. I hate that they don't fix their old equipment. I hate that they only have one leg extension machine and smith machine available the others have been out of order and not to be repaired anytime soon. I hate that they're missing the double hook connection for the machines with 2 cables its for example seated row back machine. inexpensive part that can be bought and make your clients happier. Not a lot is invested into this gym or kept up with. Also they close to early on weekends thats ridiculous

All I joined for was the pool, I told them I needed it for PT and for my twin autistic/epileptic adult children who would accompany me at times for excercise.
The heater for the pool was broken and they knew it! Maybe they should have disclosed it before they got my signature and credit card??
That was on December 10, 2024, no signs or anything warning that the heater was broken.
All I want is out of this membership!! They have already charged my card again!!
I should have checked the reviews first!!

The remaining staff members should diligently take notes from Matt, an exceptionally courteous and skilled salesperson who effectively supports his members. Despite the unprofessional and rude behavior exhibited by the majority of the staff, which has been detrimental to my experience, I was compelled to cancel my membership shortly after joining. Notably, the basketball court facilities lack a ball, and the restrooms are in a state of disrepair. I sincerely hope that the gym will implement significant improvements in these areas.

this location is complete waste of membership fees. The gym is over crowded on busy days and equipment is always left laying around because the staff sits at the front and does nothing. They recently changed the hours on the weekends to 8am to 6pm and they lock the doors an hour before closing so even if you wanted to get some quick cardio in, you can't. There are places in the carpet that is torn up and fraying. There is one leg curl machine that has been broken for MONTHS. Earlier this year, the hot tub was out of order for months as well while they "waited on parts". Showers are NASTY and look like they never get cleaned by the ONE cleaning person who works limited hours. I get that this brand is LA Fitness' discount alternative but come on, even planet fitness is kept up better than this.

Have been going to this gym for several years and have to say the quality had really declined. 1st off why change the weekend hours to close at 6pm? I pay for access and now that access is being limited (can't even get in the door because they lock it at 5pm) but my membership price hasn't decreased. 2nd, the carpet is a tripping hazard in several places and equipment is broken for months before it gets fixed. 3rd, the locker room is always dirty and toilets are out of order more than they actually work.

Keep in mind, most of the 5 star reviews are from YEARS ago when it was LA Fitness.

I’ve been going to this facility for about a year and a half now and things are progressively getting worse. The place is filthy all of the time. Some machines have been “been scheduled for service for over a year now. The real cherry on top is the hours getting shorter and shorter closing at 6pm on weekends is insane.

So this is an update, I've only been going to this gym about 6 months, overall i like the atmosphere. However this place has some pretty major flaws. A few of the machines are broken and have been the entire time I've been there.
Also the mens restrooms are absolutely disgusting. Toilets don't flush leaving you to walk into a stack of "strongman pre-workout- protein dookies"
The Open- hours aren't that great for people who have jobs.
These may seem like minor issues but the memberships are not cheap and there are a lot people there. I feel like maybe the people who run it don't care.

ive been going to this gym for a little over 2 years and it definitely has its pros and cons.. while i do reccomend going here because of all the amenities, the closing times are ridiculous especially since they make the doors lock an hour before close and if you arent inside the building you cant workout.. they changed the weekend times to close even earlier at 6 pm recently when they dont even open til 8am on the weekends.. thats not even 12 hours open.. i cant speak for anyone else but my weekends im running errands and doing things i cant do during the week and i dont want something i pay for every month to be put on a time table.. definitely something that needs to be fixed

Esporta is an excellent gym filled with courteous and generous staff. I went there for the first time with a friend about two weeks ago.

I was amazed by the quality of the facility. In addition to being fully-equipped and offering a functional training area immediately after entry, the gym has a second floor decked out with many treadmills, cycling and stair walking. Even better, the gym offers basketball courts, swimming and I believe sauna. I think there might also be a dance studio.

The gym is well-staffed. In spite of the numerous people who go there, weights are put on the racks and organized. The gym is very clean. I noticed in my time that trainers helped first-timers. By the way, the people who go to that gym appear to be on the older side, so it’s pretty quiet too.

Last, but not least, one of the administrative staff offered me a generous guest pass to incentive my coming to the gym. Unfortunately, I live too far away, yet in spite of my denial of his generosity, he offered to extend my pass. Not only that, but the man personally called me to remind me the status of my guest pass.

Need to address some of the other reviews. 1st, I am a over the road truck driver. Worked out in esporta/la fitness all over the country since 2018. They have 3 bench press stations plus incline and decline benches, this is what most have. 3 squat racks plus 2 smith machines, also normal. All the equipment is working and in service. The cleanliness is above average. The sauna is working and hot. And at 2pm on a Tuesday there is a varied mix of men and woman here. As far as quitting your membership they give you a contract to sign at the beginning, probably should read before you sign up. 5 stars from me.

Female gym goer here. I have been going to this gym for what would have been three years this December. I had noticed in the last year a drop in the already low female attendance, and noticed quite a few of my friends who were members have switched to different gyms talking about the gym culture there being gross for women. I didn’t think much of it until last week when I had an issue with a man in the free weight area and I felt like the employees didn’t handle it appropriately, which happens, we are all human. Also since rebranding, there has seemed to be a noticeable drop in maintenance. Sinks and machines seem to stay broken for months much longer than before. But on top of all this when I asked to cancel my membership I was told the employee couldn’t do it and he would have to write a note and it would be done the next morning when the appropriate employee was in the office to do it, and that I would be called and/or get an email about it. After lunch time passed and I still hadn’t gotten any notice of cancellation. I went back in to ask if my gym membership was canceled by the same original employee who told me it would have to wait the night before, I gave him all the same information I gave the night before to cancel it and he was able to cancel it this time. Which leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he said he wasn’t able to cancel it the night before when I asked. It felt as if the gym may have been encouraging employees not to go through immediately on canceling their membership hoping that a customer might not notice till the next time they are charged on their bank statement. But I will say pretty much all chain gyms in general are known to give the run around to cancel their membership. It is a cheaper membership but I can not recommend people to this gym particularly women.

I don’t suggest going here. I’ve had problems every time I’ve been. I have multiple friends with memberships that complain all the time. If you’re looking for a gym to go to show up and workout, this is your place. But, if you’re looking to upgrade/downgrade your membership or have any problems with charges, they have ONE and ONLY ONE staff member that knows how to do this. Poor business to say the least. The two ladies that work up front are rude and clueless and I will not be giving my money to these money hungry people any longer. I hope you don’t either!

The main reason I wanted to leave a review is this:
I got a 3 day free pass. No biggy, right?
Well, The manager… idk if it’s commission or what but jeeez they don't have to call and text my phone attempting to FORCE an answer out of me for a membership! It’s literally borderline harassment.. I literally had to block the managers and the gyms number!
Idk if it’s just me or others, but after 1 day…. 1 day!… I have 5 missed calls, a voicemail, and 2 calls that were answered, before I had to block.. And now im getting a text from the manager… SMH
Basically, This is the reason I am not going back. Reading other reviews I see now that it’s probably better to stay where I’m at.
Look if I were making a life changing purchase I’d understand the need for 7calls and a text. But… for a gym membership? Keep in mind I only went 1 time…That is All ima say about that

The front desk lady was nice, the gyms cleanliness is good, but in the men’s locker room was good but also not good. It felt dirty and had the dirty ick feeling. other gyms in a look my opinion are noticeably cleaner as far as being able to tell that they actually clean it at night It had flys all over shower area, just yuck feeling for a fairly newish looking gym.
The gym is very busy though, Sauna is small but manageable, pool is huge, but there’s SO many people.
Customer service lady was nice at the desk.
Gym equipment was good. So many people.
It’s literally just the harassment of management for my reasonings of not going back.

I love this gym. I have been to Crunch and came back. I love how the sauna is never broken here. However, only 3 squat racks and they do NOT have a barbell for every station. You will have empty squat racks and bench presses and no bar at all. Was told one time that the two missing bars are because by the training room people do rows with it and in the back left corner people do deadlifts and these areas “are not stations.” But THEY HAVE MATS AND LOOK LIKE STATIONS TO EVERY ONE. Never seen a gym that has empty squat racks because of no bar and is by far annoying when you are trying to start your workout with a compound press.

We went in person TWICE and both times the rep said they would cancel our membership. And both times we were still charged. Imagine a used car lot experience; there's a lot of selling (upselling memberships, "last chance" offers, personal trainers as a must), to the point of discomfort.

I was on a 2-week "VIP" pass they never sent - presumably to stop patrons for another pitch each time upon entry - I visited three times and had a decreased level of satisfaction with each visit. The second time, we were pitched after a workout and before leaving (right at the exit). The last time I visited, a front desk worker spoke to me inappropriately while I waited for the "VIP entry email" (it never came). This was after I'd turned down the last pitch of another employee. I had another week left, yet her proding was the last straw.

The gym is fine (it's all old LA Fitness equipment but it's clean [+1]); I planned to join for the pool and jacuzzi, but the staff interaction soured the desire. They turn up the tension for the money with no shame. I would not recommend this gym; there is another location opening and they will likely shift some of the same workers over there, so I would completely dissolve this gym brand as a membership opportunity.

Good weightlifting equipment and staff are polite. The main issue is that it's crowded. Even if you go at the least busy hours of the day, the weight floor is always fairly packed. I don't know how it is at rush hour, since I time my workouts to avoid it, but my guess would be that getting access to one of the squat racks or more popular machines at that time would be very difficult. I often have to wait for a weightlifting platform even at the least trafficked times. For $30/month it is a decent value as far as commercial gyms go. If barbell exercises are a big part of your routine just know that you'll be competing with a lot of people who want to use that same equipment. I'm getting a home gym because the crowds became too much for me to want to deal with every workout.

Gym is always overcrowded since they shut down the Perkins location. Currently here at 6pm and it’s hard to breathe on the gym floor with how many people are using it (counted 65 people on the gym floor, insane!) Very hot, almost smothering.

The Esporta on Perkins closed and I had a feeling this was going to be a disaster. There is hardly any down time here and every machine is almost always occupied! The worst part is the HEAT! The heat is worst upstairs by the cardio equipment vs downstairs with NO airflow coming through the vents. I’m not going to the gym for it to be freezing cold, but for it to be so hot that I fully drench two shirts in sweat doing the same workouts I’ve done before is a problem. I have a feeling they are going to loose a lot of memberships very soon.

I've enjoyed this gym everyday since joining. At certain times of the day it can seem congested in the free weight area because of how close together things are in that area. However, it's still possible to get around. I see many happy faces and smiles from workers and members whenever I'm there. Everyone minds their business. One of the only complaints I have is that the Cable Row machine's cushion needs maintenance ASAP.

I am disappointed by the management and staff of this gym. I mainly joined this gym due to its Perkins Rowe location. When touring this gym, Alex, never disclose that the Perkins Rowe location would be unavailable in 2 months, nor did he chose to disclose there $30 cancellation policy. I've called multiple times to cancel my membership but I was continuously told that I either had to mail in a form or come into the gym to cancel it. I don't understand why me calling in is any different that me canceling it in person when the only verification they use is my phone number on file. They could CLEARLY see the number I am calling from. Secondly, they still chose to charge me for the additional month. I was denied a refund for the month I am not able to use. To cancel, the very rude and unprofessional desk assistant told me that my request to cancel wasn't processed because I had to pay the cancellation fee. Why was that information never told to me? So let me get this straight, you charge me for a month not used, a cancellation fee because I am cancelling less than 4 months, AND an annual fee that I didn't even use for half than a year. If you're deciding a gym, IM BEGGING YOU TO CHOOSE A DIFFERENT GYM.

A basketball court, speed cycling (I think that's the proper name lol), swimming pool, sauna, locker rooms, bathrooms of course, weights, a multitude of exercising equipment and trainers. My employer offers a multi-gym membership for 1 price. I went to 3 gyms in 1 day to get my key cards. I will not be going to Esporta. It is not my type of gym. It seems very large and impersonal. The receptionist that gave me my key card implied with her demeanor and smirky expression that I wouldn't be able to handle the trainer guided classes that are held in the middle of the gym. Basically she was dismissive when I asked about them and made sure I knew "they're extremely difficult". She looked at me, made an incorrect assumption about my level of fitness, and made me never want to step foot in there again.

My only critique would be the benches. you either have to be 5 foot and under to use the low setting, or 6 foot+ to use the high setting. The bench itself is also very slippery, and it’s hard to get a good setup. I think this gym could benefit from just an all around adjustable rack with a bench rather than just the benches Besides that, no complaints.

terrible experience trying to simply cancel a membership. Staff told us different things to do and did not know how to explain how. poor customer service need someone present when open to be able to cancel a membership.

I just got a membership here a week ago. The staff is very friendly and I love the environment of the place. I was on the stairmaster and my airpod fell out and went inside of the stairmaster! I told the lady at the front desk and she helped get someone very quickly. Thanks to Joey he was able to get out for me. I’m looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here.

I really enjoy this gym. Clean, bright, and not too loud like many gyms are. Everyone seems to mind their own business, so it's easy to keep to myself and exercise. I definitely can't say the same for the location at Perkins Rowe but the Siegen location is just what I need.

Ebony that sits at the desk has a nasty attitude and is very confrontational. I visit this gym frequently on a buddy pass and no one has ever gave me an issue at the door. She has very poor customer service skills and should be removed from guest services.

The gym is nice, itself is a great environment for a great workout. A lot of equipment and amenities such as a lap pool, hot tub, showers and even a sauna (sauna closed right now due to covid).
The reason it's not a 5 star simply is the hours of operation. I know it's a small thing considering this is a huge gym and what not. But it closes at 9 9r 10 depending on the day. And up to 6 on Sundays. I know most people won't workout past these times anyway but I know a lot who do and it's the only reason they haven't chosen this gym.
Maybe if it were 24 hours but thats something more to consider.

I have never been to a place of business that tries as hard as these guy do to make you find another gym. I’ve been to this place three times now to get a membership. Each time the salesman work themselves out of a sell... The front desk lady sucks just as bad... I’ll stick to the Y and planet fitness

I loved the facilities at LA fitness, I really did. I wanted to go to improve my Health and possibly sign up for a membership today (I was signed in as a guest by my friend because I usually go to Planet Fitness but I was planning on switching) but I noticed that there are staff members (even Managers) not wearing their masks. One girl in particular, not sure what her name is maybe Lacy? Mary? I’m not sure but she has black hair and is kind of short, was coughing up a storm and saying she felt numb?? If I get COVID-19 for trying to keep up my Health I will be very upset. I live with immunocompromised people. They could die. I will not be returning to this no mask nasty gym.

What a great gym. Jamal is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and always encourages working harder. The personal trainers are also very nice and somebody you can talk to. The building is very spaced out and has a lot of different equipment which is great when you want to workout quickly. There’s always something to do there even if what you want to do is taken. They even have a pool and sauna. Overall a great gym and wonderful workers there.

Yes. There is basketball, yoga, racquetball, hot tub, swimming, pool and workout areas. But, this is quite the busy gym. And I don't mean on a social scale. Although like any other gym there is a social level of communication and outlook it is not a place that you can socialize if you are one of those types of people of course. Although the possibility is there it's simply does not happen too much. It is definitely a place to go and work out but there are so many people it is at times quite difficult. Very clean. Showers are available. If you're into going into the sauna that is also available. It is not co-ed. There is one for the females inside their locker room and one for the males in theirs.

Visited the new facility off Siegen Lane, it is wonderful. Great place to work out, go to yoga or a multitude of other classes. They even have a heated pool and a sauna.
The employees are nice and very helpful. This was a great choice for us, you should check it out!
