I've been in LA fitness member for 15 years. I visited locations in oregon, washington, New york, pennsylvania, North carolina, Florida so far this year... and this was the nicest one I've been to. It has all the common / typical LA fitness amenities just cleaner and calmer.

I’ve been here twice on guest passes while passing through. I only have had great experiences both times. Everyone is very welcoming. The machines were all functioning. I also met the GM Jamal Hill. He was extremely kind and helpful in guiding me through some guided exercises ensuring I was maximizing the efficacy of my workout ! I will definitely be going back when I’m in the area. I love this place!! it's a clean friendly atmosphere where you can really get a good workout on well maintained equipment. The only drawback I have is their hours...I get off late on Fridays and Saturdays and they close early this days.... this gym would be a absolute home run if they stayed open till 10 all week.

Honestly, it's a very nice, clean gym. They have everything you need and then some. I'm only docking the stars because the lady who works the front desk isn't great (I signed up online and wasn't sure how to check-in my first day there so I stood waiting to ask her what I needed to do. She was on the phone, so I understand not being able to speak, but she didn't even acknowledge me. After a few minutes, I noticed she must've been on hold or something because she hadn't said a word and yet I still didn't get even a 'I'll be with you in just a minute." I finally watched a few people check-in and figured it out on my own.) I really don't expect much from people these days, but as the first person everyone sees I expect at least a smile.

This fitness facility is exceptionally clean. The staff is very knowledgeable, polite, helpful and friendly. There is a large variety of machines, if you have a special type of exercise need the staff does their best to find the right machine for you. You should come and check this facility.

How are you going to cancel an amenitie (kids club)overnight with no notice to your members, and then charge a cancellation fee for no longer being able to use that gym because they shutdown kids club(childcare). This was the sole reason we chose this gym, without this particular amenitie the gym is useless to us and others in our situation. Wasn't even that upset about the closure of kids club, but to charge us to cancel? That's some low class bills**t.

Like the gym but they reaaaally need to stop being frugal with the a/c. We live in Louisiana and it is super hot yet it feels like they set the gym temp for the workers, not the people working out. Also the “gym radio” is horrible. The softest rock on earth is not good for a gym. They have days where the music is good, days where it’s great, and days where I feel girl bossed to death, or soft rocked to sleep. Makes headphones an absolute must. Good prices and nice people tho. Also has everything you could need pretty much!

Sales person signed me up for a year pass despite me wanting only a month. Sales people also do not adequately explain pricing and there's tons of hidden fees. I recommend anyone who's a member look at any and all bank transactions from this place. You'll find its far higher than what you agreed too.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! GO TO CLUB 4 FITNESS DOWN THE ROAD. This place has no morals, ethics, or customer service. If you are in the Military, I highly recommend going somewhere else....any where else, because they will give it to you without a reach around. I requested my account be closed twice from this place. The first time in March 2022 with Cole. After finding out he didn't close my account, I contacted the new manager in May 2022. She said she couldn't refund the two months so she froze my account and said she would close it in July. I moved away (military reasons) and found out in August, Esporta charged me for July and August with an annual renewal in August. After confronting Esporta manager again, she said she could refund the monthly charge of August only and not the annual fee from August ($50+), even though I haven't been there since March 2022.

Everyone here was so welcoming and friendly! I'm visiting from out out of town and wanted to make sure that I don't gain any more weight around this great food and laid back atmosphere!🥴😂 The Manager, Asst. Manager, and Manager of the training staff assisted me as as if we were family and had known each other forever! I will be in the area for the next 5 months and and collectively, our goal is for me to lose about 40 pounds. I have faith, and so do they, that this will happen! Few good employees, they make it impossible to cancel your membership. Tried canceling my membership back in March and spoke with multiple people in order to cancel my membership. It is now may and my membership has yet to been cancelled. Now they are trying to charge me $50-$100 just to cancel my membership after canceling in person, with billing, and someone in upper management. Just go to Crossgates, they’re very nice there.

My husband belongs to the esporta fitness center in fremaux town center. I went to make a payment on his account. The Man Behind the Counter said he couldn't help me because they were not taught how to do that. I would have to come back after 9. No problem I came back after 9. There's no one at the front desk. There was a lady sitting at the desk to the left. I went asked her for help and she said just go to the front desk and someone would help me. I went back to the front desk and waited. No one came. I went over to the lady behind the desk again she snaps at me and said that she's on a conference call she can't help me. Someone will be there in a second. I go back to the front desk and wait. By now eight minutes have passed. Still no one comes to the front desk I go to the lady at third time she sighs, stops what she's doing and comes over to help me. The whole time she's complaining that this is not her job she's in sales when she doesn't do the front desk and she doesn't understand why the people at the front desk don't know how to do this. You need to teach you employees better customer service. The gym down the street is beginning to look better and better everyday. Your customer service sucks. Do better.

The sauna has had broken boards since before Christmas’21 and the hot tub hasn’t worked for nearly a year.

Otherwise, the workout areas are clean and it’s not usually crowded. The men’s sauna is a safety hazard, though.

This place is super duper crazy GOOD. The staff is awesome, the gym fees are cheap.
There is a workout space for athletes, spin room, cycle floor with a pleather of bicycles. A pleatherer of treadmills with cup holders, touch screen remote and controls on bar handles, an inside basketball court, racket ball court inside swimming pool, sauna, meal plans, trainers, showers, (his and hers).
This gym is super huge! They also have a weight lifting area, work out stand alone stations, crossfit section and energy drinks machine.
This gym has two floors and an elevator! You have to see it to believe it.
Get this, they even call YOU, the visitor, inquiring: "how was your visit? What can we do to make it better?
OMG Good!! Check it out, you won't be disappointed. 😄

This gym is by far the most professional and clean in all of Slidell. The front desk is staff goes out of the way to ensure each guest has an exceptional experience everytime they walk thru the door. Overall a clean gym with a lot of nice equipment. Had a big issue that came up within our first month of membership. Was forwarded to the VP of the district. He completely ignored the issue we had. Never tried to contact me after he assured me he would. They charged us $500 to get out of the contract after we were completely mislead. Got in touch with corporate, you can’t find their number anywhere online. They said they would have this issue resolved two different times and never called me back. Completely disgusting how they handled our situation. If something goes wrong with your membership don’t expect to get it resolved. I’ve had friends that they sucked money out of and had to pay a fortune to get out of the membership. Go to cross gates!

It’s was a surprise that they changed their name from LA Fitness to Esporta Fitness (yet still under LA Fitness), which also resulted in enforcing certain costs that LA Fitness didn’t enforce. I still accepted the fees because it was more important that I start going back to the gym. And it’s the only gym in the area of its kind with a basketball court.

I was thinking about joining this gym but its the only LA Fitness I ever seen to not have a website link and it doesn't state that it has a Basketball Court. The main reason not to join is the weekend hours are listed as closed at 5pm. I will never sign up to any gym that close before 10 pm on a weekend and weekday needs to be open to Midnight. 24 Hour Fitness is the best but for some weird reason the State of Louisiana doesn't have a 24 Hour Fitness. I have not Played Basketball since March 2020!

This is my first week and I would like to said this is the best gym I’ve been to. I have been a member of Youfit and planet fitness but this gym beats them both. I would like to give a big thank you to Ben & Connor for going above and beyond to give my wife and I great customer service! It really shows that both of you put a lot effort in your job. I am new to New Orleans. I am a member in Texas and I was surprise that this gym was never crowded even at 5 PM on weekday. The staff was always nice. The only negative was most equipment were like new, except they were one of the worst in all of LA Fitness and brand (Matrix - they are more for athletic than body building, most are dual cables) and were very awkward to use. The leg extension machine had no height adjustment. They don't have several crucial machines such as hammer or back row. Also I wish the janitor would not be cleaning the locker room and the floor at 5 PM where they were occupied.

This should be your warning. The manager will give you a great walk through and sell you while he flat out LIE to your face in order to get you to sign a contract. Look at the track record for LA Fitness, a simple google search is all you need, mostly negative. The Slidell location is no different from all the rest. On first glance it seems beautiful but take off your blinders when you go in. The pool floor is filthy (only cleaned twice a week), locker room is subpar, and classes cancel unexpectedly. Please do not take our word...just do your research before you sign. and oh by the way...cancelling from this gym can be a B&%CH, no matter how "easy" they say it will be! Did we mention no wifi, and some of the staff were rude.

Because it's newer than other gyms in town the equipment is great, however they turn the air-conditioning almost off many times to save money, and the restrooms /shower areas aren't frequently cleaned. The biggest complaint is they don't have WiFi. You can't stream videos or music on your phone Bluetooth without using your data.

Never sign up for a PERSONAL TRAINER ,we wanted one month, but in the small print on the contract many pages long, it is $2450.00 for a year, so it cost me $1000. No to be trained, and they tell you the session is one hour long ,but they are only half hour. BEWARE, what you sign up for at this place

This club is a little over a year old and I've been a member since.

Clean environment, pool, sauna, large locker room, mainly for people who are intermediate and below in working out, mostly friendly staff, group fitness, no WiFi, not 24 hrs.

I got the 3 yr membership. So if I cancel, I would have to pay half of what I have left. I was okay with that. Then, I got the personal trainer for my husband. It was fine until recently. Not with the trainer so much but how it is set up.

So, his year was up in February for the personal training but no one called to see if we wanted to continue the service. So I called to see why we were still paying for it. I was put on hold. Then got hung up on. I called once more. They took down my name and said they will have someone call me. Never happened.

So I contacted the club the next day. The receptionist told me that after a year, it's a month to month basis. We were never told that. I asked if we can cancel it. He said yes but we would have to use the sessions within a month or have it reduced. So I will be paying for personal training without getting sessions if I reduced.

Due to my husband's unpredictable works schedule and car accident, he raked up 20 training sessions. So they expect us to hurry up and use these sessions that we already paid for and pay them more money, or should I say penalize us, for holding these sessions until late we use them...

Been told for the last few months Wifi is coming! The tread mills are a bit hard. They made us put reference down after we very clearly said do not call any of them.
