I absolutely love this studio. I have practiced for more than 30 years. But I have never grown in my practice as much as I have at Free to Be. It is a diverse studio in every way, ability, age, gender and ethnicity. This makes my practice so much more than the physical for me. Join us!

I think it’s a great studio my only problem is their cancellation policy. The last time I tried get back into yoga, I got a flat tire on the way to class. I called and left a message that I was stuck waiting for a tow truck and I was charged both a cancellation fee AND the cost of the drop-in class.

I absolutely love Free To Be and the yoga community I’ve made here!! Every teacher is unique in their own fabulous way, but they have all cultivated a safe space where yoga is accessible for everyone despite your “skill level”. The hardest part is always getting started/ showing up! So I encourage you to show up for yourself and I promise these people will not only empower you to be your best self, but you’ll feel SO amazing afterwards! You won’t regret it! (ps. there’s a lot of street parking around which is a plus)

Free To Be Yoga has been my studio since moving back to New Orleans about 8 years ago. When I returned I practiced at several studios in the city before settling with FTB. While there are many reasons for my preference it all comes back to the wonderful people. The teachers and their practices are outstanding from both a workout and mindfulness perspective. At every practice the studio is filled with community and joy. There are class times that meet anyones schedule and practices that meet the wishes of any yogi. There are regular special seminars and practice events. Teacher training is available and their graduates carry on the FTB tradition. As a long time yoga practitioner and certified instructor, I give Free To Be my highest recommendation.

I can’t recommend FTB enough! They offer so many options for a busy schedule and the teachers are experienced and knowledgeable. I’ve tried other reputable studios in the city, but Baptiste yoga resonates with my needs and this studio knows how to keep the practice fresh and creative. Highly recommend!

I’ve been consistently coming here for 2+ years. Originally came looking for a good workout, which is HARD at first, but you quickly get used to the heat - now I stay for the friendly and supportive community, staff, and full class schedule.

Free To Be Yoga Studio is hands down one of the best yoga spaces in New Orleans! The moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and positive energy from the teachers and community. The classes are thoughtfully guided, challenging yet welcoming for all levels, and always leave me feeling grounded and uplifted.

The instructors here truly care — they offer gentle adjustments, motivating words, and create a safe space to grow in your practice. The studio itself is beautiful, clean, and full of light. Whether it’s a sweaty power flow or a calming restorative session, every class feels intentional and inspiring.

I’m so grateful to have found Free To Be — it’s become my little sanctuary in the city. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great yoga, community, and good vibes!

Having practiced yoga for 30+ years, I feel I've found an actual yoga home base with the Free to Be studio.
If you're a local or an out of town visitor, new to yoga or long-time practioner, you are welcomed as a friend of the practice and the studio. This warm and generous community that Free to Be fosters is due fully to the instructors' kindness, creativity in, and knowledge of their yogic craft. Plus they are just really diverse and interesting folks, fun to chat with and learn from.
The class schedule and varied class styles and lengths make it easy to practice throughout any given week - whether it be a 90-, 60-, or 45-minute class, in traditional Baptiste, level-up or restorative styles. There is something great for every yogi to choose from and experience 🧘🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Free to be is fantastic and has for a long time been a staple of my work out regimen. The atmosphere is welcoming. The studio is comfortable and overall a really nice space to have a good practice. The real strength of FTB in my opinion is the teaching staff. They're phenomenal, and each instructor brings positive energy and puts their own sauce on the classes they teach.

Pro tip: Saturday 8:30 class with Michelle. This session mixes HIT with traditional yoga. I've done a lot of workouts in NOLA and this is at the top of my list.

What I love about FTB is that it offers a challenging, intentional, physical, yet grounding yoga practice. From the moment I roll out my mat in the FTB studio, I feel the energy shift- not just in my body, but in my heart. The space is clean and beautiful, and the instructors are phenomenal- incredibly skilled, authentic, responsive, encouraging, and connected to the community. FTB challenges me and deepens my awareness while connecting me to a supportive, inspiring community and guiding me to a higher version of myself both on and off the mat. Beginner or seasoned, FTB welcomes everyone to show up exactly as they are- and leave stronger, clearer, and more empowered.

I love Free To Be -- The new space is beautiful, clean, relaxing and most importantly welcoming to all people. The teachers are pro -- and lead classes to represent practitioners at where-ever they are in their yoga journey. To share I am a very-long time practitioner.

Happy to share too: They are growing community rapidly and doing a wonderful job representing New Orleans diversity! I met 3 new local people even last night. If yoga helps to grow oneself - its going to grow so much faster with all these new people's insight and sweetness. This means so much to me.

Because the space is in the CBD -- we also get drop ins from all over the world. I've done classes with almost all the teachers -- and I love finding new insights by working under guidance of different people. Plus, their music selections are inspiring and fun. Zoe is my main teacher but i have had break-throughs with so many other teachers.

Thanks y'all!

I have been a member of Free to Be for five years and I love this studio and the FTB community. I dealt with nagging back injury/pain for years following football and finally got some advice from a friend to give yoga a chance. This reformed meathead owes a lot to the practice, and this particular studio in general. If you are contemplating yoga, don't hesitate - it's accessible to all and life changing. And, you can't do better than FTB.

I really enjoyed my experience at the “free to be” studio. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I paid the $25 for the drop in rate and I thought that was great for a 75 min class. The $25 included a mat, mat towel topper and a face towel rental. My favorite part about it was that they had multiple instructors walking around doing hands on assists throughout the class. It was friendly for all levels including beginners and advanced yogis. Beautiful space with a cozy welcoming energy.

I practiced here 4 times on a 5-day pass while coming through New Orleans for work. Free To Be was a definite highlight of my trip! The space is lovely, the teachers all fantastic, and the yoga left me feeling so, so good. ❤️

If you are also a yoga teacher, I especially recommend taking a class with Janae. She made a full 5:15 am class feel spacious and personal. I left floating on a cloud, and very inspired by her skills in giving wonderful hands-on assists to all levels while never missing a beat in her instruction to the entire class.

Took the Flow and Beats class while on vacation. Nice movement and mindfulness break during my vacation. Single class was $25 and included mat and towel rental. You can easily purchase class credits online and reserve space in class. Walking distance from our hotel at the edge of the French Quarter.

Cons: the instructor wasn’t great with cues. She would announce a pose, but not tell you left or right. She didn’t demonstrate anything. They also did some poses I haven’t encountered much, if at all, in 15+ years of practice. She also used different names for some poses (like thunderbolt instead of chair pose). I would not recommend their classes to a beginner because of the pace of the flow and the lack of instruction. I thought the music would be much more up tempo than it was, based on the class description. It wasn’t bad - just not what I expected. Also, the towels they provided were definitely clean, but smelled of cigarette smoke.

This is a heated studio. Thermostat said 93 as we were leaving. I thought it would be more like 85. It was still cooler than Bikram or Hot Power Fusion at Core Power.

Hey there. I tried to take a class in this yoga studio last week during my short visit to nola. It was hard to get information about classes hours and prices.
Went there twice. First time went upstairs and nobody was there. Not even a sign or a board with information for new students. Called but no one picked up.
Second time I spoke with a instructor who was leading a class and kindly gave me and another person, who was there too, a verbal schedule and prices. But he was in the middle of a class.

Sorry but I decided to go to bikram yoga a few block down.

I would like to start by saying I rarely ever give any business a bad review, because as a small business owner, I know that it is hard to meet every patron’s expectations all the times.
However, my experience at Reyn was disastrous. I traveled to New Orleans with friends and family for a wedding and made a specific point to carve out time to practice. I searched for studios, focusing on choosing a class that was a heated vinyasa flow style. Based upon Reyn’s own class description I choose a R2/R3 class.
The class I attended at Reyn was being taught by a sub, and her style of teaching did not align with the studio’s descriptions of what type of class I had paid for. (Needless to say, I think she is a skilled yoga teacher). The class had no flow, and was very segmented. It was not an advanced vinyasa flow class at all! I tried to mentally accept her style of teaching, because just like in life, events and expiences don’t always meet expectations. However 75 min later I was extremely frustrated and felt the class I signed up for was not the class that was taught.
After leaving class, I spoke to another student who took the class. She proceeded to express the same frustrations. After a little chatting, we decided to both express our feedback.
I truly believe feedback is a way to better yourself and your business. When speaking with the lady at the front desk, she basically shrugged her shoulders and offered nothing in return. She said the teacher taught her own versions of a R2/R3 class and we should basically get over it. When asked if she would communicate our frustration to the owners/managers, she said that there was no need for that to happen.
So not only did the class I took not match the description of the class I paid over $20 for, but when I expressed my feedback, I was dismissed!
I ended up going to another studio in town 2 more times and had a great experience.

I was out of town and in the area, the space was calming and the instructor was knowledgeable. It was just what I needed to relax after attending a convention. This is an outstanding yoga studio. I was visiting the area but wanted to stay on track with my practice, so I bought the "weekender" option which is $50 for 3 classes on 3 consecutive days. I also noticed while I was there that you can go back for a second class on the same day for only $5. Mats are available free your first visit or $1 after that. They also have bathrooms, towel service and a good assortment of props. Do be warned - some of their classes are heated! I didn't realize going in so I was caught off guard a bit. My favorite class I took was the lunar flow. My favorite instructor was Olivia. At the end of the warm classes, the instructors come around with a cool eucalyptus towel for your face during savasana - bliss! If I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular. This is a rare thing - a studio which is welcoming & unpretentious but somehow still clean and well organized. Check it out when you have a chance, you will be so glad that you did.

I've been a professional dancer for 24 years and a hot yogini for a decade. I am visiting New Orleans from Los Angeles and Reyn Studios was the closest studio to my hotel. But I am so glad. I've been taking yoga here for the last two weeks and instructor Ananda has given me the lessons on inversions in class that I've been craving. I am delighted to share that in my first R2/3 class at Reyn, she instructed me into independent forearm and hand stands. It is so wonderful to find this level yoga instruction in New Orleans!

Sweet studio. Great space with nice air quality. Took a class with Reyn and she was clear in her instruction, encouraging and threw in some personal attention that really hit the spot. Reyn and her studio are gems.
