This is a gem of gym. I was in town for about a week and got a membership for my stay. It offers all the equipment you could possibly want and honestly, probably more than some of the name brand franchise gyms. I've worked out at quite a few different gyms, and this was hands down probably one of my favorites.

Work had me in New Orleans this week and I was happy to come across G-Fit NOLO online. I texted with the owner about dropping in for a day pass. He was very helpful on the phone and later even took a minute to welcome me in. He has my dream job so it’s cool to see someone happy doing it.

The environment was great. An old school vibe with a mix of metal and coated plates for the benches and racks mixed with plenty of pin based machines. Major standouts for me were an assortment of quality barbells and a mix of competition plates from Rouge and Eliko in KG and LB’’s. The platforms for these are a nice touch, but could use a little love. The turf area had plenty of room and included TRX units on the walls. They also had an array of strength based accessories not present in the usual gym - plenty of bands and belts, even a weight belt for pull-ups in leather.

Cleanliness was also clearly addressed. They had many spray bottles and towels available and the culture seemed to be to use them.

This is the best gym with the best culture I’ve been a part of. I, unfortunately, am just having to leave this gym do to me moving and none of them gyms near my new home come close to G-fit. I am a 14 year old who’s been working out here for about a year, and I absolutely love it. Many different, high quality machines, great community, amazing staff, and almost every quality about this gym is perfect. The personal trainers are great and helpful, and everyone that goes to the gym are just as great people. The only thing that I have noticed is that the bathroom is a little dirty, but nothing too important. 10/10 gym, recommend to anyone in the area.

Beware the male trainer missing a thumb. Unfortunately my time at G Fit NOLA was tainted by one of the personal trainers- "Coach Lo". As a Muslim Woman he repeatedly made me highly uncomfortable with ignorant remarks about my faith, inappropriately touching my head while I wore my hijab, and commenting on my pre-workout attire, my choice of music, and other things that had nothing to do with the business at hand- training me.

However, the owner had a lovely response that made me feel supported amidst that trainers vehement refusal that he had done any harm, and falsification of our interactions in an attempt to save face.

This is the best gym in the area. Music is always poppin, keeping everyone motivated and serious about working out. It's truly an inclusive place. Im a larhfer woman and feel totally welcome all the time. No waste of space to make your time efficient. This is the only gym which comes close to providing a sufficient space at a great value. Too many places charge well over double G-Fit and don't have a fraction of the equipment G-Fit has. I went pre-Covid and recently returned and it was great seeing they obviously kept up with upkeep as the equipment all was reupholstered, clean, and functional. In my experience the best gym will always be the one which is closest, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found this place in my neighborhood.

Can't say enough good things about this gym. When I say " this gym " and " atmosphere " at Gfit changed my life , is an understatement . Ive lost 140 pounds and starting my lifting and cardio here . The members really care and help me when they see me lifting wrong . The music is great too . Its not Planet Fitness . This is a gym where you can be you !
DJ every Saturday from 9am-12pm spinning all the hits just gets you in the zone . Its creates a unique vibe . The training staff is great . I use @DevinLewisFitness , we've lost 28 pounds . Gained muscles and killing it .

Hand sanitizer stations all over , each guess gets personal spray bottle and towel at entrance to spray down equipment and mask available if need them . They take every precaution to keep everyone safe in these Covid Times .

I’m a Silver Sneaker member, the facility has all the assisted and free weights apparatus anyone would need to keep fit. Along with numerous elliptical, stair climbers , stationary bikes and multiple running machinery. It even has its own cross-fit exercise area. GFIT is a Great Fit.

This is a really great spot in the city to get it in at. Very well equipped with plenty of free weights as well as machines. There’s also plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, and jump ropes if cardio is your thing. Also, I love the fact that this an independent single-location gym so there’s no corporate, “big box gym” chain feel to it. All the staff are so friendly and helpful too. Great gym. I was over in Nola from the UK for four months and from the start made this my spot for working out. Wide array of weights and lots of old school machines that you don't find in every gym. The price is low and it was very rarely busy - I was never waiting around for machines.

Training at G-fit with Carlos “Coach Los” Higginbotham has been an amazing life changing experience for me. helped me become developed as a Pro Football while training in the FBS training program at G-fit and also better to mentor to younger people.
