My spouse and I are both active duty military in town visiting family for the holidays and were in luck to find Hub City Fitness.

Amazing gym, amazing experience!! Open floor, not congested, clean and diverse equipment. Parking was easy and there’s a supplement shop in walking distance from the gym!

The $15 dollar day pass person was reasonable and worth it. I’d recommend incorporating a day pass with a military discount for folks like us who are only here for a short time to visit family.

10/10 would return again and recommend!

Loved this gym. Wife and I recently had our first kid and wanted to cancel our membership. Which was easy enough in the past. We had every plan to come back, which use to be a simple phone call. However, I suppose the new General Manager is enforcing a new policy that makes this process not only wildly inconvenient, but sometimes impossible for people that have moved or have young children and work. The gym really is taking a turn for the worst under this management and I can't recommend this Hub City Fitness location anymore to anyone. Sanitation is on the decline as well.

The gym itself is great, so there's no complaints there. However, my experience with the business side has been frustrating. I’ve been a member for over two years but recently moved 3 and a half hours away. I called multiple times to cancel my membership and was repeatedly told, “The manager will call you back.” Unfortunately, that call never came.

Eventually, I made the 3 and a half hour drive to cancel in person, only to be told that cancellations require 30 days notice. Meaning I’d still be charged for the following month. This was despite the fact that I had already called and requested cancellation well over 30 days prior.

I was again promised a callback to discuss the upcoming charge, but as of now, no one has reached out. A simple phone call could resolve this, and I’d be happy to update my review if that happens. Until then, I can’t justify more than a 1-star rating.

I am moving Out of state, I have been trying to get access to the gym since February 28. I have been unable to have access however when I finally do have time off while they’re open, I go to cancel and then I’m advised that even though I don’t have gym access (because when I do, I have time to work out. It’s after hours) they let me know that I’m still gonna be charged for the month of April so basically they got the whole month of March and the whole month of April where I have no access to the gym. not recommended.

Gym as an overall is good. The main problem is the water in the fountain tastes absolutely terrible. The only other option is a vending machine that goes out time to time and you are stuck with garbage water. They should supply an ice chest or something of that sort in these situations.

This gym is incredible. Insane amounts of equipment! At least 5 racks of dumbells and one set that goes up to 125!! A full indoor track for running, power lifting stations, and a cross fit section. This place has it all. My only minor complaint would be lack of privacy in the locker room/changing area.

Great gym. Very clean, great selection of machines and overall a good atmosphere. Unfortunately there are still quite a few people who refuse to re-rack their weights after use. Also parking is sometimes a issue, especially if you want to park closer to the door. Some people feel entitled to park as they please. If you worry about your car being hit or damaged, park all the way on the sides or out in the back. Don't take up two spots purposely. There are always a select few that do this. Empty lot or not, be a better person.

Very new and clean. Excellent variety of machines to hit multiple muscle groups. A large selection of free weight, machines, and even a track. As well, the locker rooms are well thought out and well maintained. Recently, flooring in the locker room has been updated. The staff has been helpful at all times. New equipment fairly recently added as of 2023.

i have had 2 memberships. i am currently a member. i do like this gym. and i am a member of Apex. the only thing I do not like anymore is the choice of music that we are made to listen to. its a ton of rap, not everyone likes rap and just a lot of stupid songs. i'd chg that for sure!

I am a member here, love that is is close to my house and lots of space and machines. Some machines are in need of repair, cracks in the benches. Every time I go at least one of the stair masters is not but not labeled. The radio is either not on( super weird in the am) or if it is on its blaring loud. When brought up to the staff they said it’s a internet issue.

While in town visiting family and friends for two weeks, I was looking for a place to workout. My bro brought me to this place as a guest and the worker “Tiki” noticed that after the third time, so he mentioned the week long guest pass. Of course I got and I appreciated the warm welcome into the gym. This place that provides a clean environment coupled with more than enough space and equipment for me to keep up with my commitments to personal health and wellness. If you’re in town for a few days or longer and need a really nice space to keep up with your health, fitness, and wellness commitments, I recommend this place (grab the long week pass if you can, well worth it). Give this place a try yourself and provide some feedback.

Some of the machines are old and need repairs and some of the benches get stuck and are unusable at times otherwise very friendly gym. Very clean and very fairly priced in my opinion. Would definitely recommend getting a membership here

I’ve been a member here almost a year now. I joined it because it was the largest gym in the area. I was so excited that it had 3 deadlifting platforms and 6 additional racks. Not only that, but strongman and powerlifting specific equipment. However, about 6 months into my contract they put signs up around the specialized equipment area declaring it was only for “Apex personal training only”. As if that isn’t bad enough, they take the belt from the belt squat machine and lock it up so that only the trainers can access it. I’ve read back over my contract and no where does it state that a regular member does not have access to that area. I believe this breaks my contract technically…as my contract states I have access to ALL equipment in the gym. Either way, I’m out. There are far too many gyms in Lafayette and Broussard to be swindled like this.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with how the discontinuation of free play basketball was conducted. I reached out for a better solution as I believed I could have found some common ground. Free play could have been offered during periods of low member traffic or even on certain days off the week after a certain time. I'm am now stuck in my contract. 😔 I committed to the terms due to the basketball court.

Open 24 hours, equipment is all new, staff is nice. Could probably use some posted rules since occasionally they'll post something on Facebook about "don't do this, or don't use that area". I don't have a Facebook so I don't see these until my wife shows me.

Gets crowded around 5, which is expected. Large cardio area and weight section with a fair amount of machines and room for free weights. Could probably stand to have a few more power racks, since they only have 3 platforms. There is a big rack over by the basketball court, but if they are doing group training you wont be able to use it.

All in all, clean, nice, and new. Re-rack your weights properly if you go.
