I have loved every class I have taken at Leela, but I especially love Rikki’s Choreyo Flow class! It is the perfect mix of dance and yoga. Rikki’s bubbly disposition keeps you engaged and motivated throughout the class. She begins by leading you through a gentle flow, then teaching a piece of choreography that you continue to practice through the class. It is just challenging enough to keep you on your toes, but never too difficult. To top it off, she closes with Savasana. I always leave this class feeling immense gratitude and with the biggest smile on my face. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Went to the SEVA community class along with my daughter and husband. It was a good class with lots of diversity. It was a little crowded (because it was a free class), but otherwise very good. The instructor was excellent and those assisting him were incredibly helpful. My college-age daughter really enjoyed it, which makes sense as most attendees were in her age group.

Great classes and instructors. Lots of variety. Like the assists instructors give and eucalyptus towel. Cozy studio with lots of space. The $40 offer for 2 weeks is a no-brainer to come see if it fits your vibe.

Highly recommend. I have taken 5-10 classes at this point (mostly with different teachers to find the best fits for me), and I have enjoyed them all. The staff and members have cultivated an extremely welcoming space for beginners, and the instruction is excellent. If you are considering trying Leela out, I would encourage you to.

I wish I could give a better review but I feel it would be dishonest and misleading to other women in my community and could put others in unsafe situations in vulnerable times in their lives. My time at Leela was just under a year and while I do agree with many of the teacher’s positive reviews here, that is what you are reading… reviews from their own teachers and their spouses. I had quite a few issues with a certain group of teachers at Leela and turned down the opportunity to do Yoga Teacher Training because I did not like the culture of the “popular” teachers and sought out my own classes that were not sought by the “majority”. I thought that I could avoid the cult like group think and get my own practice in but I began having women targeting me and harassing me in classes that were friends with the sole owner of the studio after I communicated with the owner days before that I believed she needed to know the things I had witnessed inside of the walls of her building that are incredible liabilities to her business. When I tried to bring up my issues to the owner of the studio she decided to create a new position for one of the most problematic women at the studio who had gaslighted me the very most when I had tried bringing up issues to her in the past and made me feel so unsafe that I had quit going to any of her classes, and tried to manipulate me into a meeting without my knowledge with this very woman I take issue with present. I told them I felt unsafe even diving into everything I needed to discuss about my time in the studio and I left. This is a culture that continually protects predators. This is not a culture that tries to get to the root issues by speaking honestly. This system will continue to revolve around those that are the very most dysfunctional because it is about profit and not people. If you are looking for a studio short term, they are very “nice” but if you are looking for community there is nothing “kind”.

Lovely studio, welcoming atmosphere, loving community.
Epitome of an ideal yoga community.
This space offers classes, workshops, intentional book clubs, and probably about any other practice you might be interested in centered around yogic self inquiry and movement.
The instructors are humble and vary in experience and knowledge creating a wide selection of classes and styles that is sure to hit the spot for you.
Traditional ashtanga deep diving into the roots and path towards samadhi? Got it.
Easy going restorative and yin? You know it!
Powerful full body HiiT and power yoga? It’s there.
Slower paced, intentional and philosophical Hatha? Got that too.
I am a relatively advanced practitioner deeply interested in both the movement and philosophy of yoga. Andrew Linton has been an immense inspiration in my yogic journey. While some might get the impression he is harsh - to me his discipline is the staple of a great teacher.

Leela yoga is well worth the visit - or 12. You might just find yourself immersed in a fresh new perspective of yoga and movement.
See you on your mat!

Second Saturday Seva Community Flow was a beautiful experience! I attended with my 2 sisters. Awhile back I started getting tension headaches all day every day for months. I would wake up crying not knowing how i was going to push through another day. In addition to medical help, I incoorporated a little yoga, & amazingly it would provide relief for a few hours. But as a busy body with a choatic mind it’s a struggle to commit consistently on my own/as a single mom i cannot afford a regular yoga class/a lot of free classes are during the week which make it hard for me to attend, so I appreciate your service work to the community on a Saturday evening! The cloth at the end was such a loving touch. I also loved your choice of words throughout the class, it really helped me to check in with & thank my body as I have put it through a lot. Thank you so much ❤️

I don’t recommend this yoga studio for a steady, thoughtful practice. I practiced here for a year and off and on in the past. I never liked the ego of some instructors here but would just avoid their classes, this became harder to do over time. Personally, I don’t think ego has a space in the teaching of yoga...whether intentionally or not, it gives a negative energy that I find exhausting to be around. Some teachers were also just mean! For example, the same teacher who blasted their music so loud during a class had the audacity to walk up to someone waiting for a class to start and exclude them from practicing because they needed their phone in class. Not everyone has the privilege to disconnect…either for work or because of kids or whatever personal reasons a person might have. What I found unforgivable was that no one stood up for this student in the class! I don’t think the instructor would have done this to the student if the student was white. And if the instructor did, I think people would have reacted differently. Generally, I saw that people of color were not treated that well at Leela Yoga Studio, which is so weird given that yoga is obviously rooted in South Asian cultures. Also I don’t know why people think practicing yoga without clean air is a good idea?! The gimmick that is “hot yoga” is so 1995!!! It would be great to just teach yoga movement and not try to impose creepy philosophy and religion on people. And if you want to teach these philosophies then start by pronouncing the basic asanas properly?! Lastly, I really wouldn’t recommend this place to new yoga practitioners because of the lack of feedback instructors give to people in the most basic poses. You can seriously hurt yourself in yoga if you attempt handstands without being able to first align yourself in a warrior 2. So in my opinion this place is not safe, not inclusive, and you’re not going to learn yoga movement in a way that can support you in a long term practice.

Leela yoga is welcoming to all levels, with incredibly knowledgeable teachers whose practices span 10+ years of study. I started with a membership, but garnered so much I decided to do the teacher training (highly recommend!) Leela is accessible to any level, welcomes drop ins, memberships, novices and experienced yogis, you will be introduced to a holistic yoga experience: not explicitly physical, spiritual, or meditative, but a great melding of all: each tenet is equally available for wherever you are looking for fulfillment, and no tenet is pushed if it’s not something you’re seeking. Cannot recommend enough!

Leslie is such an amazing teacher.
She knows I have pain and always runs to my assistance with a block or strap anytime it might help me go a little deeper. She challenges me to push my limits as well.
Of course I’m lucky to be her husband, but to see her teach others and to experience this amazing lifestyle first hand and to see her in her element is truly special and I’m honored to have a practice when she’s my guide!

My experience with Zoe Klein's All Levels Vinyasa Flow class is that it is deeply strengthening. She exudes accommodation, validation, and empowerment, all while expertly challenging your flexibility levels and core strength. She is not pushy at all, yet you still seem to feel her the next day! Zoe Klein and the Leela Yoga Lifestyle are the best part of my weekly fitness routine!

I began being more active in yoga after I hurt my knee in March of 2021 and had to temporarily discontinue participating in tennis and running. I became more active at the free outdoor sessions at Tin Roof Brewery and Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar and subsequently became a member of the Leela Yoga Lifestyle studio. Previously I have participated in other physical activities 2 mentioned, body building, golf, swimming, spin, body pump, strength training, old school aerobics , all good! With yoga, after about 3 weeks, I noticed that I slept deeper on the nights following the practice! Since this realization of the extra benefit, I encourage people by telling them “There’s some special benefit to yoga:). Along with the physical benefit, Yoga has enhanced my mental peacefulness and enriched my spiritualness. The owners of Leela, Allie and Brittany embody these benefits, always positively engaging, encouraging, accepting, non-judgmental, and full of happiness! 5 stars is not enough for these girls, Leela studio, and the benefits of the yogi life:)
