Great facility, very few complaints that could be inexpensively fixed. The showers could use an upgrade. I used them for the first time yesterday, and there was a lot of standing water, and the curtains were dingy. A huge ask of mine is that the dry sauna have an auto-close door feature, hydraulic hinge, or at least a magnet to keep it shut... Nothing like getting a good sweat in, and someone leaves that door wide open. The environment is the best of any gym in Tangi and the instructors are phenomenal.

OMG what liars. Talk about bait and switch. Make sure you bring your attorney with you to go over and read every word before you just trust them and sign. Unless of coarse you like getting screwed and lied to. I could go on and on and on, and I will. First of all I was told there was no contract and that it was month-to-month and I could quit anytime. Now I find out there’s a year contract. I trusted them and believed what she was telling me so I signed it. Otherwise, I would go get an attorney and sue these people. Then there’s the money. I was told one price and it turns out it’s a different price.. I will be calling the Better Business Bureau, but it looks like I’m stuck. So be sure you read every word before you sign any of their papers because you will get screwed.

Terrible customer service,don’t explain contract correctly and expects you to be fine when you have to pay money to get out of membership.i went in (18 years old)was told that they had a new promotion that you could get 2 months for free and only have to pay for one month plus annual fee, I was told if I moved 100 miles away or anything medically happened that’s the only way to get out the contract without a penalty Out the contract,I ended up getting called to work a turn around and I tried to cancel now their saying I have to pay for the free months of plus another annual fee to cancel my membership because it has to be at least 6 months of me paying but I was never told anything like that.Worst gym will get over on you if they know your not educated on these things.Im most disappointed in myself for not looking at reviews and letting them get over on me I thought it was a good gym at first and honestly would have to say this worst gym experience i have ever experienced tbh ruined my thought on gyms.Always go over the contract don’t ever feel like you have to sign it or agree to terms because they want/thinks it’s best for you to because that’s when they’ll get over on you.

Classic bait and switch advertising. Lure you in with no contract offer. Then when you want to cancel they refuse to honor the advertised promotion. You can clearly see that their advertisement states NO Contract on all new memberships during the month of January.
But today I am told that because I started a senior membership, my membership doesn’t qualify.
So, are you only discriminating against seniors, or do you exclude other groups from your specials?

I was really enjoying my workouts and I would bring my toddler into the childcare center. One day they came and got me and told me he had been crying for 20 minutes. He was inconsolable and had not been given any food or drink. I was told he was crying because another child had macaroni. They say they will feed your child a snack and give them their drink, but instead they let my poor baby boy cry, walking around the room with no one holding him or consoling him. His juice was untouched and his snacks were also untouched. My poor baby Took a long time to calm down, and I never went back with him to work out. They should have offered him a snack or a drink like I told him he needed. It seemed like they were just ignoring him and he was just wondering around until I got there. It was very heartbreaking to see other children being rocked and given snacks, but my son was left to wander around crying until I got there.

North Cypress Fitness is an excellent facility and impeccably clean. The owners are truly invested in the members and it shows - they are on site daily, readily accessible to answer any questions or concerns. As a member and a business owner myself, this goes a long way.

In addition, the club is constantly evolving in terms of high end equipment and member perks. Recently, a women's weight room was added and the equipment is top of the line. The pool area, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and outdoor walking track are well maintained and user friendly. There is something for everyone at North Cypress.

I love everything about the gym! It’s clean and fully equipped. Pool, sauna, steam room, massage chairs. They have it all. The ONLY thing I wish they would considered revisiting is later weekend close times. They close at 7 on Saturday’s and 6 on Sunday’s.
That’s the only thing that I wish was different at the gym.

I love the classes especially Ramona in RPM. She always make classes so fun and makes everyone feel good about themselves. I also take Body Flow every Monday at 5:30 pm with the same teacher. Unfortunately I am drawing a blank with her name but she's awesome too. She has darker hair. The gym is expensive but I have the couples membership and its super convenient to split with my fiancé.

One day the daycare fed my child someone else is snack. I would pick him up multiple times with poop and dirty from his snack. I joined the gym specifically to use there Trx and boxing bags and I was never told that the people taking classes are privileged even though they pay no extra. I was told to stop in the middle of my workout to give the bag to someone who was Gona use it for a circuit when I was there first. Mind you no sign put up and I was never told about this. Would I have known I would of scheduled my day better. It takes me 30 minutes to get to the gym an hour to get my kids ready all to go to the gym and be rudely interrupted 10 minutes into my workout. Talked to the manager Chris and he said that the trx and bags are up there for the classes only this was never disclosed. Also I was told my kid could not chill by me a day he didn’t feel well but all other people not of color could gladly bring there kids. Go to spoga it’s cleaner and they have no silly rules like theese. Kids care is way more organized. Other then that all other employees where great but I did witness other members being rudely talked to by employees

Things started great in 2020 when my family and Me joined for approximately $100 a month. That covered wife, 2 toddlers, and myself. Upon joining I was asked to pay about $330, which covered first and last month plus some cryptic fees. Things went well for a few years as the facilities are clean and maintained adequately. Things started going south after about 18 months when the monthly fees kept increasing and they began adding a $60 upgrade fee periodically. My $100 a month had increased to about $140. Recently I received a military deployment which will take me away from the area for a few years. I went to cancel on Nov 9th and they refused to close my account without making me use the last month that I paid years prior to cover December, which I obviously will not be able to use and refused to prorate the 21 days left in November. When I get back from deployment I will not return to this gym.

I have been wanting to WARN newcomers about this for a while. I have now left this gym. Get ready to pay close to $100 or more (couple) to feel packed in like ants. It's definitely not worth it. This "action-packed" gym has someone in every corner of the gym to a point where you can't get a decent workout for fear of literally stepping on someone. They actually hold classes in the same area people try to use mats on the floor to workout. I literally was almost hit in the face by a lady jump-roping because we were so close. If you are doing crunches you have to sit up or simply go somewhere else breaking your flow in your workout (even YOU are paying too) because there may be someone literally running back and forth above your head in the same area for some insane reason in a class. You are so packed in, your workout is interrupted to make way for THEM because there is so little room. On some days everywhere you go in there you turn around and choose to go home instead because there are so many people. And instead if realizing this and expanding the building or building a larger establishment, this gym greedily continues to encourage other patrons to come. You can barely workout without stepping back and stepping forward to make way for other gym-goers. Rooms that COULD be available are designated times for other businesses or classes. In the meantime, you are being waited on to get off a peice of equipment by other people. Then in the middle of your workout someone with a vacuum is zooming past with cord possibly across the floor. (A serious and irritating trip hazard.) And watch out for the outside where it has snakes on occasion that slither across the walkway while you are running or walking. Scared the be-jesus out of me. Eventually, you wisen up and realize you are actually better of working out for free at home or cheaper at another gym with actual maneuvering capabilities when working out. Not worth money, frustration or literally the wait. Fair to warn folks before you get tied into a contract. What's $100 bucks monthly anyway right?

We love North Cypress!
My 1 year old loves gym care & we absolutely love the director she’s amazing & super sweet. My daughter has never been out in any kind of day care setting until now & I’m so happy shes enjoys being there. Everything is cleaned & sanitized often as well! She even loves the splash pad area, the moment we step foot out that door she’s trying to run away to go play. Everyone I’ve interacted with the north cypress staff has been really kind & I wouldn’t want to go any place else. Not to mention The Panini Bistro ( the chop a toolus is my favorite) is so good as well as the blenders smoothies & shakes !

Excellent health club. Great swimming pool with baby pool and separate splash pad for kids. Lane swimming and water aerobics classes. Tons of different exercise classes, yoga, spinning, personal trainers and floors of workout equipment. The staff are very professional and polite. Not bad equipment or machines but I have gotten multiple things stolen out of my bag and left by a machine. I wish there was a better and honest community when it comes to this place. I have even got a single airpod stolen when I came back for it the same day. Same for a water bottle. My friend has gotten his skullcandy headphones stolen while in the locker room. I can’t trust bringing anything. Preworkout stolen, water bottle stolen, headphones stolen, cologne stolen, etc.

Great gym but after Ida we had to move away and they still charged us for the rest of the year even though I never went again.
800$. Which was a contract so it is what it is the sketchy part is

This place is like the Disneyland of fitness gym. The gym is big with every type of exercise machines you need. It's a two stories gym with exercise classes. Hip hop and zumba classes. Water aerobic classes and they serve all kinds of healthy foods and vitamins etc. Pickle ball, tennis, walking path. Truly clean and the facility is amazing. Won't allow our nanny to bring our kids to the swing area without paying $15 a day since she doesn't live with us.

Why would anyone pay 3x for a fitness center that doesn't allow a member to bring a guest?

I got an $1800 check waiting for this establishment to accommodate our little ones and provide the positive environment to grow in that they proudly promote on their recording while you wait to be spoken with.

$1800, plus 2 birthdays a year is around $2400 total (give or take) this establishment is missing over a nanny coming to the establishment once a week to bring my kiddos to the play ground area.

The money will be spent somewhere. Considering I own 3 properties in Hammond and run a business, I understand the power of word of mouth.

Google doesn't beat having a good name in a small community. I work hard to provide housing for the people of Hammond, how about y'all work hard to provide that positive environment for the kids that you all are so proud of!

I absolutely love this gym!! I was a member about 2 years ago & I just rejoined this year with my boyfriend! I LOVE IT! I have a 3 year old & he LOVES the child care center! Don’t think that it’s a daycare, it’s just a nice place for your kids to stay entertained while u get a workout in! The classes are great! Such a wide variety. Body pump, cycling, barre, Zumba, hip hop cardio, yoga & more! There’s even a pool & tennis court! They offer the UP center which IS FREE for members!! You usually would have to pay to use it but it’s free and I am so glad because they have other equipment in the UP center! I love the fake grass lol. Very spacious gym with PLENTY of machinery & a wide variety of food options too for if you’re on the go and don’t have time to cook or if you just want to grab a quick protein bar or other protein snack! Highly recommend! The staff is also super friendly & patient with you which is a huge plus!

Not only is there a pool with lap lanes, they have steam rooms and saunas in each dressing room area. The club is very family friendly and offers activities for the kids when the parents are working out. We joined this gym about 3 months ago and it’s one of the best decisions I have made here. Andrew was my sales guy. He was very informative, completely explained every aspect of a membership there. He was friendly, personable, professional and always waves/says hi when I see him. He’s a keeper, ask for him if your want to sign up, he was great! The price for what you get is very reasonable. We have 2 small children, the kids love the Child care they provide and beg to go back. I’ve been a member of LA Fitness my entire adult life, my husband travels a lot so we were also members of the YMCA. A year before we moved here, we were in California for about 9 months. I liked both of those other gyms but they were just ok. North Cypress feels more like a country club than a gym. I absolutely LOVE it. The hours are so convenient, the facility is always clean, staff is always incredibly friendly, the pool area feels like a resort, I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Now this opinion could be because I just came from California but I love that they don’t have all the regulations and nit picky rules! (I am NOT referring to Covid rules that they can not control.) There are courtesy rules of course but for the most part you can swim anytime, childcare is 2.5 hours no long big break during the middle of the day like most places, plenty of machines, plenty of classes to choose from, I love the outdoor track, the massage chairs are a great complement to a tough workout or just a mom needing 15 more minutes for herself. They also have a room where you can work out with your kids! I have never seen this in a gym before! What a great idea! I truly can not say enough good things. I love this gym. I love the fact that they are always willing to help people when times get rough, whether it be free showers to those affected by hurricanes to leniency with contracts because of the pandemic. Their trainers and staff are always genuinely friendly and helpful. My *only* semi complaint is the unavailability of locker room/spa areas late at night (10PM-4AM), although I understand that it is likely due to security and staffing reasons. There is so much available at this gym, track, pool, tennis courts, classes, basketball court, etc. It is well worth the money spent.

Absolutely horrific experience with this gym. It was closed for several months this spring due to COVID, during which time payments were paused. When my husband tried to cancel his membership at the end of his contract term in July, they said he still owed for the months when the gym was closed, as they interpreted the term of the contract not to be for 12 months (as it stated), but for 12 PAYMENTS. In other words, they believe he owes for a service that was inaccessible during a pandemic.

Worse yet, while we were actively trying to work through the issue with them they informed us they would be forwarding the account to a third party collections company. This was despite the fact that the account had been frozen for over a month while we waited to hear back from them regarding a resolution, and thus had only been "delinquent" for a few days.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone.
