I have been a member here for a very, very long time. I get there around 1:00 am, and many, many times the door won't open, so I can't work out. It's maddening, and if there were another place close to my house, I would go there. I absolutely hate the management. Those who get there early and are locked out have complained often, and nothing changes. It seems like they could come up with a better solution. It deserves zero stars.

This gym is a joke. For the last two months it's been beyond miserable to come everyday. Last month they replastered the pool, so there was a jack hammer (120 decibals) from 9pm onward. Not even Bose noise canceling headphones could cover the obnoxious noise.

Then the elevator was broken for over a month. It's 7 stories of stairs to get up or a 5 min car ride to the top of the parking garage. They said it would be done a week ago and it's not.

The machines and equipment were supposed to have been updated over a year ago. Never happened. They bought 3 squat racks and some very inexpensive flat benches that wobble.

The hot tub is always occupied by men who are completely nude... Come to find out the locker room and hot tub are a crusing / hookup location for men. If you go in there they assume you know and make unwelcome sexual advances. Management seems oblivious or ok with it.

Unfortunately there are not many gyms other than Anytime open 24hr so you have to just put up with all of this. Plus it's expensive... From a cost benefit analysis it just doesn't make sense.

If you enjoy being dissatisfied, disappointed, and uncomfortable this place is for you.

I absolutely love Ochsner Fitness! The flexibility to visit any location across the city is so convenient, but my favorite is the Heritage Plaza location. It’s smaller, never too crowded, and still offers nearly all the same amenities as the larger gyms. I absolutely love working out at Ochsner fitness. The heritage location is so convenient. They offer so many classes as well as all the gym equipment, saunas and a pool. My favorite classes are spin and body pump. U have 2 favorite instructors Mark Mavor is the best spin instructor he has the best music !!!! I joined nine months ago and Brenden was the manager who set up my membership. He was so helpful, gave me a tour and answered all of my questions. Every time I see Brenden he is always friendly and attentive to any issues!

Overall this is a great gym with nice amenities and several convenient locations. I especially enjoy the variety of class offerings. My only complaint is that there aren’t enough Pilates/Yoga/Barre classes available after work hours especially at the downtown location.

I have recommended this gym to several of my friends and I always tell them to sign-up with Brenden since he does such a great job!

It’s definitely smaller than the main location, however still has all necessary equipment, pool/wet areas, and even group classes like the other. Not worth the $140 + a month for 2 people. It's so small and cramped it feels oppressive. Tiny pool. Tiny space. The equipment is lacking. The locker room is so heavily deodorized that I almost have an asthma attack every time I walk in. Horrid elevator that only works sometimes. Parking is an issue. Went to this gym for many years. Was on a first name basis with the staff and loved a lot of the members here. I cancelled my membership about a year ago, but they instead put my account on pause in which my membership was reactivated months later. I did not get any notifications for this, no emails/no texts, nothing. I finally realized I was being charged months later, so I called to get my money back. They make you get in touch with the Harahan location, in which they have clearly been instructed to try and just ignore whoever calls for billing. Tried to get in touch for weeks, and then it was just braindead responses from them.

The cafe/ juice bar has come a long way with healthy choice foods. The smoothies are excellent. The gym has an abundance of equipment, the running track upstairs is well laid out, racquetball courts are always busy, the outdoor pool is heated, the kids area is superb and the wellness/ massage area is outstanding. I was a member here years ago and since Ochsner Hospital has taken it over, they've added so much more. It has always been the preeminent health club in the city and continues to be so. The locker rooms/showers are well maintained. The gift shop is well stocked. There are more opportunities at this club than above mentioned! It's nice to be a Silver Sneakers member and no longer have to pay dues!!!

This place is a joke staff show up late equipment is old and broken the hot water is out most of the time the work out floor is dirty.The Manger is so disrespect and uncaring. They worker there came up to me a falsely blame for something I did not do .I will never go back to this place ever again. Do waste your time or money at this place.Also I talk with the head person Eddie he was a real jerk to me and the Mane supervisor Clayton would not even talk to me .

Just joined here after being a member of Anytime fitness on the corner of Robert E Lee for 5 years. It’s a great experience, I forgot what a real gym felt like. Anytime Fitness had got so bad and I did not really realize it. So glad to be a member here.

I was there to see the place. I joined while there. They took Silver Sneakers. A nice young man took me on a tour. It had lots of treadmills and stationery bikes some recumbent. There was a pool not big enough for laps but there was a water exercise class in the pool. There was a weight room with cable machines and free weights. I was told they had dry and wet saunas,locker room, a spin room and a yoga area. It was well equipped. We got there at around 9 o'clock busy but room to get on the equipment. It seemed a little expensive if not for the Silver Sneakers. I plan to go back and try it soon.
