The gym is fine for what it is. I will say I have seen some of the most obnoxious people ever at this gym. Expect some of the most loud mouthed, yell grunting, and weight slamming people you have ever seen. It's almost like they dare the workers to pull the lunk alarm. But their underpaid staff does not care whatsoever.

Planet Fitness is great. I’ve been a member there for years—since they opened. Before that I was a member at Reds.
PF has good equipment. The people are fine. It’s all what you make it. If you’re nice to people, they’re nice to you. I don’t care if there are lots of people who don’t look like me, as a matter of fact, it makes me like it more.
I have my routine. I go in and get out—3 or 4 days a week. As far as gyms go, it is fine.

When I asked about using a power outlet in the membership lounge to work. Instead of being directed to one inside the lounge, or even being informed if a power outlet exists inside the lounge. The whole idea of entry was completely ignored and I was promptly directed by a staff member away from the lounge and to a very exposed table.
Not only is this exposed location very uncomfortable to work in. The equipment I use is expensive and a valuable target for theft.
This experience has left me very anxious and more than a little upset. Here is hope that this review will shed some light for other black card members in what to expect upon their visit here.

Planet Fitness is supposed to be a place where there is NO JUDGEMENT, but some of the employees are the ones who are judging people. I overheard some of the employees speaking negatively about me to other people more than once. Also, there is no hot water from the sinks.

Been going there for years, ever since Lafayette health club shut down. For 10 bucks a month no complaints. You arent going to turn into a professional bodybuilder there. But there is plenty enough variety to get you muscular and in shape. If I had to change something, I would add more pre loaded barbells up to 120 lbs and dumbbells higher that 75 lbs.

Yes if you go between the hours of 4pm and 7pm then it's busy. But the other 21 hours of the day is never a problem; to get in, do your routine, and get out without fighting over equipment. Very affordable and convenient.

Not worth the $10 per month. But then they hit you other fees after you sign up. The promotion said sign up for $1 + first month; sign up fee waived. Then 2 months later they charged me $56 and called it the annual fee.

Affordable prices! A great gym to work out at. I’m not big on their stand up tanning beds so I no longer tan there anymore. Most of the doors don’t stay closed without holding while in there and I feel like it was taking a really long time to see results.

I would have joined years ago if I knew it was going to be this awesome!!! Staff treats you like royalty... So many machines... something for every need!!! Practically no waiting for the equipment. Well lit... Awesome place!!!
UPDATE:I'm a regular at Planet Fitness now. And it is all I've heard it is "and then some" It's my "go to" for my cardiac self-rehab. Probably the best feature is their staff.The general manager is a good "hiring manager", i.e., he hires good people, AND is on-site setting a good example for his people! YEP! Would have joined ages ago!

I'm always in Planet, I've been to both locations. The Southside is really nice but waaaaay too packed. The Northside is less packed but could use a proper stretch bar. Either way, for less than $30 a month, it's a good place to sweat it out

I really love the Northside location (Lafayette, LA. They're such a good mix of people. Lots of mature folks, young people,and gym buffs. The facility is CLEAN. The managers are very nice and very professional. The staff is super friendly. Clean, comfortable atmosphere. I LOVE 💕 this location!
