Planet Fitness is honestly one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to! The locker rooms and bathrooms are always spotless. I constantly see the staff walking around cleaning and keeping everything in top shape. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with friendly faces that make it feel like a home away from home. The vibes are always on point and so welcoming.

I really appreciate how the workers don’t just stay behind the desk — they walk around, check on people, and even call members by name. You can tell they genuinely get to know their regulars, and I haven’t met a single employee who isn’t amazing at what they do.

The equipment is always clean and in great working condition, which makes every workout smooth. And I have to give a special shoutout to my trainer, Magè — he’s incredible! He truly cares about his clients and pushes us to be our best. I’ve lost 35 pounds so far working with him, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

If you’re looking for a gym that’s clean, friendly, motivating, and feels like family — this is the one! 💪

Great staff , clean gym. Trucker passing through. Parking lot has no truck signs, I rolled the dice and was able to complete my reset there and get in 2 good work outs (park at your own risk. Nice big super market there as well.

The only 2nd time in several years that for medical reasons I went and asked my account be placed on hold back in January. I start looking to get back into it and go into the app to see it says a ridiculous balance is owed plus late fees. Having had the hold done back in 2022 for medical I knew that wasnt right. There shouldn't be a balance. It should have been me going to take the hold off and put my new card info in. I contact account services and they can't do anything. Why do they have a job if they can't handle account issues? The guy the first day was sort of rude and also not helpful. He also didn't even type into the system what my real issue was. He put that I wanted to cancel. 2 days later I try again and reach member services instead the actual facility yet again. And yet again they can't help me but this lady does email the manager after calling the gym herself and her not being there. The following day I get the call from the manager. I inform her of whats going on to find out that neither account services rep entered the information I said correctly either. So she is also unwilling to correct her employee error. She offers to freeze my account for 3 months to balance out me paying the balance. Basically wanting me to pay that balance from their mess up and also me not able to use my membership 3 months when I am trying to get back into rhe gym to do what physical therapy taught me to for myself. She just keeps repeating the same ignorance like she thinks that is a way to resolve the situation and does not make ant effort to mend the customer and business relationship. I've had this membership a few years and it is disappointing that the management refuses to take responsibility for their employees mistakes or fix anything. I could understand if this had been an issue at any other point and I had been just one of those people. I have never given them any issues to be treated so poorly. This is why I changed my review from 4 stars to 1 star that they do not even deserve.

Was told by the manager Steven he would take $15 off my bill. When I went up there was told no by a lady because it wasn’t my “home location”. I moved from Texas, there is no way I can just go to that location. They did nothing to accommodate the inconvenience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Staff at front desk very professional.. Men's locker room very well kept, equipment maintained and working properly.. haven't seen a broken machine as of yet, atmosphere is Friendly,, Staff is actually walking around and making sure all sanitary stations are maintained and ensuring cleanliness of facility... free weights aren't scattered all over the place..willing to help with any concerns... so for me Great job Planet Fitness and Staff.. you guys are setting the Bar...

I did visit Planet Fitness because I am thinking of going there in the near future. I like the idea that the employees are friendly and helpful. I also love the fact that the equipment is updated and there's equipment that I can use on every part of my body. Which will give me the optimum workouts. I would love it if they offer SANITIZING WIPES where I can clean my own machine before I get on it. And not a SPRAY BOTTLE and PAPER TOWELS. I love the fact that the treadmills are placed in back of the gym. That way no one is scoping me out as I walk and the weight machines on the opposite side where the men usually work out great placement of equipment. I have for certain will be joining soon

I hate to say it, but I know everyone else feels the same way. If I could give 1 star, I would. The bathrooms are dirtier than a fast food restaurant in the middle of nowhere despite the fact it has 5-6 people on shift every time I arrive which fluctuates from early morning, mid day, and late evening. I’ve been coming here since 2017 and it’s the same, so don’t give me the excuse “this is temporary because we can’t find workers.” I’ve waited this long in hopes it would get better before posting such a nasty review. Not only are the staff unfriendly, they sit and play on their phones and do whatever it is teenagers do instead of cleaning the facilities. The floors in the bathroom have such a build up of scum and hair, it’s sickening. I won’t even use the bathrooms anymore. I will literally leave the gym to use the restroom instead of expose my self to such hazardous conditions. Perhaps instead of updating their machines, they should take some money and hire some professionals to man the building. You certainly get what you pay for. I would be absolutely embarrassed to call myself the owner of this establishment.

Place is run by kids. Usually 4 of them on counter playing on phones. Nobody acknowledges you coming or going like other planet fitness locations. Its like working out at a Boosie concert. Always annoying trap rap on stereo. I go to the one outside of town now.

On Monday I tried to cancel my membership and the woman at the front desk literally looked me up and down and asked if I was sure I wanted to cancel. It was so unprofessional and uncomfortable. I proceeded to cancel the membership but the experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth about Planet Fitness. I just can’t believe I was treated this way. She absolutely ruined my day and I still think about it.

I see the owners checks the reviews. The gym appears to be okay, but the men’s locker room wasn’t very clean. The dressing area near the shower had dirt bill up in the corners. The sinks had soap and scum buildup, one sink was plugged. Toilet lock was broken. Nothing that can’t fixed and increase a good user experience . Thanks

The tanning beds are DISGUSTING! When I asked the girl at the FD if they clean between each client she told me no they clean them 3 times a day 😳 there was dead bugs on the floor of the bed and literally looked liked someone took care of some personal business running down the glass. I had to change bank accounts due to a hacker and when I changed my bank account with this PF they didn't put down my information right and because they also were off on my email and coincidentally 1 number off on my phone number, I was never notified about the issue. Now here it is a 1yr and a half later and I'm still not able to speak with a manager to resolve this issue so that I can use the facility again. I even went to another facility and they had trouble trying to get info from this location. I just want to resolve this ongoing issue!

I've been thru ALOT of PF gyms, & unfortunately I can say this Lake Charles location has the most unfriendly, unhelpful & totally uninterested staff ive ever encountered in my travels.. staff standing around visiting with each other & occupied with their cell phones. Apparently I interrupted them & this was not received well! 😐
The gym is nicely set up... but staff is why I won't be back nor recommend 😒
