Love coming here. Sharon is so welcoming and friendly and also makes sure I feel welcome and taken care of. I especially appreciate that she remembers which spa service I like. Hey, I am a Black Cark holder and often travel. I enjoy all my experiences at Planet Fitness, until I ran into Sharon! So, every morning this lady stands at the front desk and watches the entry door like a guard dog, only to take account of every swipe, access whatever information she can and then when she sees something that she can bring to your attention, she is eagerly waiting to do just that. I never knew there was a 10 time minimum check in usage at any Planet Fitness until yesterday and Sharon informed me. Also, with that she said, I had 2 options, to pay her $5 to use the shower or transfer my membership, in that she sees that I am from out of town. Now, why would I pay her $5, when I pay $24.00 a month and I don't even bring cash into the facility, and I didnt even think payments were rendered at any Planet Fitness. So, when I opted to transfer the membership, and inquired how to do so. This lady, went into complete " deficiency of mental capacity ". She didn't know how it worked, then she blames the " new " system, and I was standing there trying to do what she told me was an option for 10 min. Even, in that I was not permitted to use the shower, so I ended up leaving and going to another Planet Fitness, about 2.3 miles away and had no problem, checking in. Let me say this, if you have an employee who lurks and purposely looks for issues with people's accounts, please be sure that she is bright enough to explain to the customer, why the issue is even an issue and that there are 3 options, being they can use another facility. I will be reporting her to your regional director. I tried calling and was not able to reach Melissa, the manager to discuss the issue but best believe my voice will be heard.

After I paid my monthly bill. The rude associate, in front of several people. Stated I had an overdue balance. Even after showing the transaction statement in my bank app she was still made me leave the gym. I’m disgusted on how I was treated and I will no longer be a member at this gym. I see why I was hesitant. Hire nicer people, nothing worse than rude customer service especially at a popular, local gym. Disgusting

Nice new location. Lots of room, bigger than the usual location I go to. Spacious locker rooms, lots of equipment, tons of treadmills, very friendly staff. My husband and I had a chat with the manager and got several resturant recommendations as well. We only go here now, even though it is 15 min further away than our closest gym.

Not enough space or equipment to accommodate the number of members, yet corporate wants to add 5,000 more members before they'll renovate the rest of the massive connected space next door to the existing gym. Waited 45 minutes tonight, just to not have a single machine become available. Highly annoyed about paying for a service, only to not be able to use it.

I was very upset how I was treated at the Veterans locations last Wednesday (April 16, 2025 at 6am) that resulted in me TERMINATING my MEMBERSHIP. The front desk caucasian lady was quite insulting to my husband and I. Per policy, my membership allowed a free guest. This lady informed me that my husband could not workout, due to not having his phone to have code. Mind you, we are NEW MEMBERS and unaware of all regulations. There was no offering of simply checking the system to verify my Black card membership. We were simply told my spouse could not workout out. This same lady was no kind on my first day of using gym when trying to receive message table. It was am ordeal that resulted on som condescending words. I am of Latino descent. I tried to ignore her actions, but the repetitive nature was apparent; hence, I terminated membership. I would have enjoyed a friendly resolution, but non offered. Thank you.

Horrible management. Called to cancel my membership Was told i had to come in while i was out of town for 5 months. Finally came in spoke to the so called assistant manager named scott, Was asking for him to cancel my membership he proceeded to cluelessly Look at my account told me i had a overdue balance so i would no longer be charged then I asked specifically is it cancelled he told me Yes. Was charge $50 Confused i called was told to come in spoke to manager she finally cancelled It then looked in the computer to see if i came in Was proof on Computer i came in on the 8th Then She asked if her assistant remembered me then told me she’d call back and try to work around it never got a single call back, Called Then was told i cant get refund because her assistant doesn’t remember me, But then said she saw me on camera and saw i came in on the 8th But can’t give me my refund because her assistant doesn’t remember me absolutely Upsetting. All i wanted was my refund And my account cancelled that her assistant couldn’t do and Now can’t get because he doesn’t know how to cancel. Would not depend on management from this gym.

I’ve been to several locations and the Metairie on Veterans location is my favorite. The new manager has made an amazing difference, the staff is always top notch and you’re greeted with positive energy upon walking in. I have zero complaints about this location !!! The employees hide the fact that you can get a day pass to visit. They advertise $15 or $24.99 plans which are actually $19.08 or $29.07 with the yearly fee. Seems all dishonest. They have a yearly fee to bring up the price while advertising a lower price to give you the illusion you're paying less. Just advertise the whole price instead of trying to trick us by lowering the price and hiding a yearly fee.

A lot of machines, good classes, clean place, friendly staff, GREAT TRAINERS! Richard at the Veterans location has been a game changer for my fitness goals and weight loss. I am down 36 pounds from January. Also, while he was training me, I ran out of water, and he gave me his bottled water. He didn’t have to do that. But that’s how he is! He goes above and beyond for the clients, and we appreciate him.

First time visiting this location. The place looks great, I was looking for total body, but it wasn't at this location. My only issue was the service, which is not usual at the other locations I've across the state. One person who had more interest in playing on his phone instead of providing customer service, but he's the only one I've encountered like this at a PF.

Just joined this gym I’m pretty much satisfied but I wish the staff would actually give you a tour of the gym and explain everything to new members i pretty much had to look up all the equipment online to see how to use them and I even had someone ask me for help because the staff didn’t help them they have paper towels to wipe off the machine once you’ve finished but no towels to use between workouts I’m here around 4am weekly I am a black card member

Seriously, this gym just opened (Dec ‘23) with some great equipment I haven’t seen at other gyms before. Like their TRX area has the heavy ropes for that good arm burn.
There are more benches for free weight lifting and squats! Heavier dumbbells if you like that stuff.
They have an all in one red light/tanning machine which wasn’t working yet. Not sure about that. I like the benefits of the red light, not sure I want to be forced to tan though.
The massage chairs are very nice after a hard workout. Really hit the shoulders, better then the water lay down machine from before!
Really enjoy this place and the staff is very pleasant and helpful!
