I absolutely love the new manager and the person who’s in charge of this place the leadership and management is insanely amazing. They make sure that set up a high bar to not let others cross the line. They do not appreciate or allow any intimidation. They do not appreciate and allow any bullies. They do not appreciate people just excessively staring intimidatingly at others. It doesn’t matter if it’s a older white gentleman who is in the gym or anyone else everyone is treated equally and they certainly nobody gets the right way to Mistreat anyone. They treat people of all backgrounds fairly they treat everyone of all races of all backgrounds of all genders colors and racial backgrounds, equally and kindly and that’s how it should be. Should be a safe family oriented place for everyone to come out and not feel judged and it should be a place where people should inspire and motivate each other and love each other and respect each other and do their best and if someone does not want to be stared at they should be left alone And they should feel safe and comfortable, and I really appreciate that it gets people from all sorts of backgrounds that I absolutely love all their employees and everyone in the employees is treated well and nicely and respectfully and I really appreciate that and the show is run really well by the management and leadership. ONLY REQUEST ----the only thing they can do better is possible increase the hours AND TIMES THEY ARE OPEN that the planet fitness is OPEN FOR....MANY OF MY FRINEDS WISH IT WAS OPEN UNTIL 12 midnight ALL DAYS AND MORE , UNTIL LATER ON WEEKENDSThank you so much for all you guys do I’ve heard from many people And my wife’s friends and my colleagues that this is an amazing place to work out at and it’s run really well thank you so much for all you guys doing setting up a high bar to make sure that everyone is feeling safe comfortable happy excited and also getting good vibes and good energy. TRUCKERS BEWARE!! I’m a truck driver and parking is my first concern, this location is an issue. They will tow your truck, luckily mine didnt but while I was working out my truck got a sticker on my window for towing notice. I know it’s not planet fitness that wants us towed but dang we should be given more respect and not hassled while trying to take a break and get some exercise and a shower. Hot shower, warm water fountain, equipment was up to par. Got the job done but water fountain and the parking issue would cause me to maybe not come back

98% of the staff is really good. They are nice , caring, respectful to People from all sorts of backgrounds. I really appreciate them greeting, being nice and quick, and letting people be themselves without any judgement. I do also appreciate them being not aggressive towards anyone and not following customers around. This creates a nice friendly and respectful atmosphere for people from all backgrounds to be able to do their best with mental and physical goals. The gym itself is fine. Not a lot of free weoghts though. But my goodness the subcsription around the gym was awful. First youre in a year contract that cost a fee to cancel early, then they have it set so you can not cancel online. Finally you have to be at your original gym you started the membership at to close it. That means if you open a membership and move. Good luck cancelling it.

Scam artists. Be careful with them their app says you have to call customer service to cancel but that turns into you having to go into the physical location to fill out paperwork. And then they dont do anything about the charges that they continue to rack up when you clearly havent beem there in months. Then they will claim they have no record of you calling them to cancel and try to offer some bs apology for them giving misinformation.

I’ve been alllll over and this is by FAR the BEST planet fitness gym I’ve been too. First off the manager Fabian is so sweet and makes it a very positive energy. Also , it is SUPER clean. I haven’t seen any of the planet fitness gyms I’ve been to this spotless. Overall , I love coming here & I’m so excited to continue my weight loss journey at this gym.

I have been a part of planet fitness for a year now. I transferred my home club from texas to monroe so I could cancel my membership and avoid the annual fees. Went to the gym in person , front desk asked me if there was any reason for cancellation I said no and the person said you are good to go. When I saw the charge on my account , I called them to see what happened, they said my account was not cancelled and there will no refunds for the charges made on my account. They asked me for the date I visited in , well when I went to the gym just for the sake of cancellation and was told that its done. I do not think someone would remember the date and time they visited the gym to do so. If somebody on their end made a mistake or if there was any problem with the system, a refund shall be provided, I am too disappointed!

I have tried to cancel my plan several times and they make it so stupidly difficult. They say you have to come in or you have to MAIL them a letter. I’ve mailed them the necessary info, they still charge my account. I do not live in the area and haven’t in over 2 YEARS! I cannot drive to cancel the fee, and it’s a waste to mail it bc they will claim they never received it. Why does it have to be so difficult? Why can’t it be a phone call, a login, or an email? OVER IT.

The gym new closing times are HORRIBLE.
I've been going to this gym for years. The nightime staff/bright guy with long hair does not know how to communicate with men and goes around 10 to 15 mins before closing harassing people saying we are closing. We hear you on the intercom when you say we are closing in 1hr then we hear you say again 45mins, then again 30 mins, then again 15 mins, then again 10 mins, then again 5 mins and then finally say we are closed. That is so ANNOYING..
Also, not on his shift so much but at nite-time papertowel stations are empty. You have to walk around to find papertowels to wipe off the machines.
I've changed my rating from a 5 star to a 3 star. If nothing changes then I'm going to change my rating from a 3 star to a 1 star.
Members are talking amongst themselves and thank you for putting up temporary signs about closing times because the gym customer service only at nitetime/ closing hours, are making members consider Anytime Fitness.

UPDATE as of 9/13/23: I’m only using it to tan now but guess what now they’ve cut their evening hours back yet again. Come on PT we want it open 24/7 again. Some of us need after hours due to our work schedules! Covid is over so bring back 24/7!!!

Dirty and many members refuse to clean the equipment after they use it. And definitely NOT open 24 hours anymore. Some of the staff just stands around on their phones. Canceling my membership until it is back to 24/7 and actually everyday!

So far, I love this place. I just signed up a few weeks ago. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful and sweet. Excellent customer service along with great attitudes!! It is so refreshing to see employees happy to be at work. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is surprisingly relaxing. I have the black card Membership and I am taking full advantage of all the perks such as the total body enhancement (red light therapy) and hydromassage beds. Honestly, it's the main reason I joined. Also, I want to establish a good exercise routine. I'm excited about this new journey and the facility I chose. I'm confident that many goals will be achieved here!!

The place is normally clean and staff are usually pretty friendly. Place is a good spot to work out. However, there is NO reason why we should not be open 24 hours. We still pay the same price as the other locations that are open 24 hours so we’re not getting our money’s worth. It makes it very difficult for those of us who like to work out at night but don’t get off until 11/12. This place could at least stay open until 1 or 2 am. It’s so frustrating.

It was awesome! First time member and I was surprised by the equipment series setup that provides whole body workouts. You don't have to figure out which station to use as it's already setup. Other members are great about cleaning equipment. There are lockers, large restrooms, dressing area. Staff available for questions and assistance. Loving it.

Customer service is nice and friendly but they do not have a trainers like the website and the emails say. So you will not get a workout designed for you or a tour of the place so you have to figure out everything yourself. When you tell them your new and don't know how the machines work they refer you to the phone app and tell you to scan the QR code on the machine but only a few machines have them. You can not sign up at the store you have to do it online only, if their not going to help or do anything for you so I don't know why they have so many employees standing around.

I don’t know how it is everywhere but I want to give a shout out to the staff at Planet Fitness Monroe. When this old fat man walks in they act like they are glad to see me, speak to me when I arrive and leave. I appreciate that because I had to force myself to go into a gym in the first place. I don’t need a conversation, just a smile and a hello, and that’s what I get every time. It makes it easier to go work out. And our PF is clean and pleasant to visit. I don’t know if any of them will see this, but I am thankful for the crew!

I love this gym! Its very clean and is always stocked on sanitizer spray and hand sanitizer. The only thing I’ll say is the “stretching” area is SO small. There’s so much equipment in there now that there’s really only room for one or two people to stretch or do body weight workouts. I understand the point of a gym is to use their equipment, but I like to incorporate things like body squats and crunches into my workout and I feel like there’s hardly any space to do that.. You can really only fit 2-3 mats in there because of all the equipment. The West Monroe location has way more space in their stretching area, but compared to the rest of the gym, the Monroe location is more roomy. If I could just swap WM and Monroe’s stretching area I would have no complaints! Lol but that’s just my two cents! I still love this gym and will continue to go. Just wish there was more room for body workouts :)

I usually love my visits to Planet Fitness, but I only dislike it when I have to visit the Monroe store. Everything seems out dated and out of place and the staff is not as friendly.
