This is the worst gym I have ever been a member of. I go to workout out at 5am. There has been several instances including today that no one shows up and the gym is not open on time. It’s 4:54, no one is here. Even when someone opens it at the right time, they leave the front desk unattended. I will be cancelling my membership and going to club4 down the road, I would advise you to do the same. The photo was taken at 4:56 am, gym is supposed to open at 4 am

I love it here! My wife wouldn’t let me get a fancy gym membership until I proved I would keep working out but I think I will stick with this planet fitness. Nannette has been amazing with training and I can’t wait to keep going to her classes to see the progress. All around 10/10

TRAINER HOURS SUCK!!! My first time having a membership here and I really enjoyed it at first. However, if you are looking to schedule a class with a trainer you can forget about it. The trainer hours went from Full time to part and doesn't accommodate working people. I will be cancelling my membership because it is no longer worth having.

Customers please be aware that this gym is pro trans. They will allow a grown man to enter the women's restroom AND SHOWERS with your wife or daughter, depending on what that man "identifies" as. Not only do they allow it, they justify it. It is cooperate policy. Even the managers can do nothing about it. On top of that, they are running a summer program right now where teenagers ages 14-19 workout for free. You heard that right. My wife and I are canceling our membership here because she refuses to go into the restroom with a male employee who "identifies" as a female. I say as a company, you claim anyone can be any sex they choose to be that day? OK, put your money where your mouth is and take the men/women signs off the restroom, combine both restrooms into one and let everyone walk around naked taking showers and using the restrooms. Men, women, and children together. Let's see how many lawsuits you have filed against you then? I refuse to support this insane ideology.

I've been a member of the club for 3 years, and this is the first time I couldn't get in because I didn't have sneakers. I had to drive 30 minutes and come back... To my surprise, when I entered, 3 other people didn't have sneakers... Could it be that not everyone follows the rules? Or is there something else going on?

I just transferred from a location out of state and I will say that I was thoroughly impressed with the Slidell PF. When I checked in today I let them know that this was my first time in this PF and that I had just transferred. Bobbi was awesome! She gave me a quick tour and got me exactly where I needed to go. After being in the Planet Fitness community for for a few years, this was one of the best experiences. The gym is clean neat and very well kept. Glad this is my new home location.

Closing at 7pm on weekends is so inconvenient, the covington location closes at 9 on weekends and has 24 hour weekdays, I don’t know why this location feels like they can charge the same rates for less hours open.

I absolutely love PF! The members are friendly and Ms. Nanette has been amazing at helping me get a workout regimen while also working the front desk. Slidell has the BEST TANNING BEDS (Covington beds always have 5+ more bulbs out) and they get changed every 300-400 hours. I can’t believe that I only pay $25+tax a month for everything I receive. Just a month of high pressure tanning membership is $60-$100! Then a monthly membership at a regular gym is $30-$100. You easily save $100 or more between the gym membership and the black card spa services. I’ll never go to another gym!

I've been a member of Planet Fitness in Slidell for a little over a year and the reason I would recommend it to others is mainly because of the cleanliness of the facility. The staff does a great job of keeping it clean and welcoming. I believe that our members take pride in a clean facility as well so I am not surprised at all to see our members wiping down equipment after they use it. During Covid we all started wiping down equipment after each use but it's still a every day practice at the Slidell location. Thank you Planet Fitness for maintaining that standard.

Planet Fitness NIGHT MARE ! I have been trying to cancel my daughters membership since August of 2023 . She went to college in another city 21/2 hours away. I have sent many requests online as directed to do and have even gotten a response saying membership will be cancelled , but $25.06 continues to be deducted from an account I can not close. I barely make ends meet . Please stop taking money for a service we do not use . You people make it impossible to cancel a subscription!!

I came in from out of town a few weeks ago and i just cant stop thinking about this gym. The equipment was so organized, clean and easy to use ( and there was SOOOO MUCH of it ), the music was so hype and exciting, and the staff were a delight! They were laughing and smiling while at the desk and even when asked a question or interrupted, they transferred those smiles straight to me. The energy in that gym is something else! The members themselves were even so nice and welcoming. You really feel like family here. 10/10 i would come back in a heart beat.

The planet fitness in Covington La is really disgusting! The machines are FILTHY, NEED MAINTENANCE (Big Time). Pads on machines are ripping, seats are ripping, the leg raise machine in back is falling apart, the KIDS, are on their phones all the time without acknowledging members as they walk in, mirrors are full of sweat and spit, the area by the battle ropes is dirty. I guess u get what u pay for!
I can’t understand how you can say it’s the cleanest place to work out! When I using the tanning beds, that area is very unsanitary. There are no ADULTS ON DUTY! Who is the manager? We need someone to turn to to get this place CLEAN! So much dust and spiderwebs on machines. YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR THATS FOR SURE!

Curtained shower was decently clean at the end of the night. There's a caddy in there to put your stuff, and the changing rooms are across the way with locked stalls. The water got hot right away! (An anomaly at PFitness tbh.)

My first time having a membership here and I really enjoyed it! The machines I would use and tried out has a little descriptive photo on it of how to use it properly in case you aren’t familiar with them like me. They also had a rep counter and timer attached so you can know how many reps you’ve done and for how long. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Cleaning stations located all around the gym that had spray and paper towel dispensers for before and after use of equipment. A lot of treadmills and two legit stair climbers. Had everything I wanted plus some! At $10 a month for the basic membership, that’s cheap to get into shape and stay healthy, our bodies deserve it! Will be coming frequently to take care of myself!

Addition: They are doing Black Card perks for basic membership until the 5th! They have stand up or lay down tanning beds and you MUST try the Hydro massage! Heated and ALL the right places! Staff needs to be cognizant of were stock on paper towels and broken equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety. Up to date treadmills are needed such as on Crowder in New Orleans East. We should not have to report that information to workers. People need to sanitize after use of equipment!! All in all its ok.

Toooooo HOT 🔥 They do have a lot to offer. Lots of equipment and the place is pretty big. The only bad thing for me is there is fans, but you can't feel no air. It hardly spends if they turn it on. But she also said you can request the fans to be turned on, but I feel like you shouldn't have to. And I mean it is stupid hot. So I decided to stay where I am. Fans are ALWAYS on. I get that it is a gym, but it's not an outdoor gym. It's and indoor gym. Very nice place. If fans were on, I'll go back. If you don't mind it hot, I do recommend checking it out. 😉 Yes you are suppose to sweat, but baby you will get over time sweat. No joke, frfr.

I have been a consistent member at this facility for over 2 years. I have noticed an increase in small children on machines, some machines need maintenance, staff spending more time on cell phones, and even some televisions off. I would like to believe that these things could change with new management. Cody and the team were excellent at peopling and maintaining a clean environment. My biggest concern is allowing children in the gym and people with improper shoes. This is an accident waiting to happen.
To anyone who may care about this planet fitness as much as I, please consider taking feedback seriously and make appropriate changes.

Planet Fitness is the place where heavy grunters and weight droppers are HIGHLY discouraged. The Lunk alarm is a great/ excellent/ fabulous tool. I asked two of your employees if your location had a Lunk alarm. Neither employee knew the answer. One employee thought it might be a burglar alarm. Does your location have a Lunk alarm? I asked one of these same employees if dropping weights was against the rules. He didn't know the answer. Answers to these two questions should be immediate. This is what your facility is known for. This "IS" why I attend. Also I mentioned that a member was "SLAMMING" the Smith machine hooks at the end of each set. He also was using a barbell to do curls/ superset. Instead of setting the barbell down lightly after each set he would strangely stand it on one end and drop it hard then lean it against the wall. I've been going to gyms just short of 50 years and I have never seen this type of negative behavior. It definitely seems intentional, because he know the rules at this gym and he looks around suspiciously each time after he drops the barbell. What say the owner about these issues?

YOU, the owner, NEED to address this on GOOGLE so members and future members can see what the very IMPORTANT answers are to these super SIMPLE questions.YOU need to address this with staff and follow up with the appropriate answers on GOOGLE. You are OBVIOUSLY avoiding the answers, because of exposure on GOOGLE. My rating goes down to two stars.YOU ALREADY know the answers to ALL of these questions. My reason for a low rating is because it use to be a place where one could go regardless of their work schedule. I first started out at a location in BR. Would work out before I headed to St Charles Parish which is where I lived.

I was a member of Planet Fitness from the beginning of their opening. I loved that I could go at any given time and work out. I had to give my membership up for a little while.. After the COVID escapade as I’m sure some put on weight. I’m a caregiver and my hours don’t coincide with what your facility offers. Please go back to 24hours.

I visited today with my son and front desk staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. If I'm paying for a membership I expect a friendly greeting and welcoming environment. There were no paper towels in the dispenser. I guess they were too busy on their cellphones and discussing lunch to even bother checking. I'll be cancelling my membership to join a different gym. The equipment was not clean
