I really hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience at the Sulphur Planet Fitness was incredibly disappointing. When I first joined, I was excited to start training — but the trainer never showed up for our first two scheduled sessions. No call, no message, nothing. The third time I tried to meet her, she took forever in the back, then came out just to tell me she had to reschedule again. As someone new to the gym, it was super discouraging, especially after driving a good distance to get there.

When I tried to calmly explain my frustration to the man at the front desk, he was extremely rude and argumentative instead of trying to help. I’ve also seen him act the same way toward other customers, so it’s clearly not just a one-time thing.

To make things worse, several machines stayed broken the entire month I was a member there. The whole atmosphere just felt off — the staff and even the members seemed miserable.

I eventually switched to another Planet Fitness location, and it’s a night-and-day difference. So it’s definitely not the gym itself — it’s this particular location and the people running it.

I tan here and sometimes workout the atmosphere is great the equipment is in nice shape. It’s clean and I get everything I need in one spot. I love having my member ship here. The staff is always friendly and I have not ever had a rude person wait on me ever. I would recommend them to anyone I know for weight training or any kind of fitness stuff.

A smaller facility that are missing equipment that I'm used to seeing in the other planet fitness. They might want to start using that upstairs space for more equipment. The staff is very fickle. Sometimes they want to speak, sometimes they don't.

Now I know why I continue to go to the Orange, TX PF! A person was talking on their phone (on his earbuds) while he was on the treadmill! Loud enough he could be heard at the front desk. I asked employee (guessing the Mgr), about the policy, he said there isn't one! Well, then you need to go remove the signs posted throughout the gym!!

Had a great workout, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable of all equipment. I utilized the abs room today and a bit of cardio on the treadmill. Cooled down with a water massage . Great gym fits all your needs.

I like Planet Fitness. The Sulphur, LA location is always clean and well staffed.

My only complaint: When I transferred my membership from Anytime Fitness to Planet Fitness, both were open 24/7.

But every since the Covid thing, PF is no longer operating 24/7.

I like being able to go to the Gym at midnight. I want my life back PF.

Went in to cancel my membership since I build a home gym and no longer needed. The girl inside kept trying to talk me into suspending it for 3 months instead of canceling although I asked twice to cancel it so after listening to her random on I went ahead and did so. Ended up forgetting about it and it reactivated and immediately in the same week of charging me hit me with the one year membership fee. So she goes and talks me into suspending my membership and puts it where I get charged the yearly membership as soon as it's turned back on. So I go in to cancel it and asked for a refund for the yearly charge and the last two months since I hadn't used the gym at all since April when my membership was turned back on. Was told it was my responsibility to cancel my service that they weren't giving me a refund. Worse customer service I've ever experienced. Can't stand this company. So freaking mad over this. I'll never use this gym again period!!

I came to this location for a shower bc multiple reviews said mentioned "clean". Sadly this was not my experience.. showers were extremely mildewy/ moldy and there was a nasty clogged toilet.. didn't even see an employee until I was walking out the door.

We joined the Sulphur location. We are not an active family so we were shy about even going inside but the wonderful friendly staff gave us a tour and said they were right there showing us how everything worked. It's great to feel like everyone has access to a personal trainer. We go several times a week and we've learned a lot. Great experience with no judgment and plenty of encouragement.

I appeciate the time spent cleaning the facility. I have watched and noticed a few of the employees dedicate time to make sure the equipment and the gym floors are well maintained. The manager Amanda at the Sulphur, La location is extremely rude and non professional. She has that alpha type personality that only she can talk and won’t listen to what you are saying and constantly talking over you. If you keep talking when she tries to talk over you she hangs up on you and then calls an employee at the location and proceeds to have that employee call you names like illiterate and tell you to get out of her store when your trying to fix an issue where they have been double billing you. I have been trying to get this issue fixed for well over a year and have had her friends of mine have this same issue. We have went up to the location now 4 times to fix this same exact issue and all she can say is it’s fixed now you need to leave but will provide no proof that it is actually fixed.. when the employee told me she called my fiancé illiterate and I said she really said that he just smirked and said yea! . This place must be having problems finding good employees especially to have a met like that in that because she is not professional at all and they have lost our business for sure. I honestly hope whoever the general manager or owner of this store sees this review and does something about this lady or they will be losing a lot more business
