I joined Snap Fitness, Harahan, LA almost one year ago. Needless to say, I've never felt at home there, in that gym. Amanda Mothe, the manager, lied to me about membership costs from the onset. She told me the membership fee was $37 per month, but I found she was charging my credit card $42 per month. I confronted Amanda Mothe and the club owner about the discrepancy. I was told it was the tax deduction that increased the monthly fee. Well, why didn't Amanda warn me about taxes at membership sign-up? They're fakes and frauds. Amanda's customer service is horrible. I've never had to pay my money to be harassed while doing so (more reporting to come). Needless to say, quality customer service is expected. And, the lighting in the gym is horrible. I've canceled my membership with Snap Fitness and will be writing the Better Business Bureau and Snap Fitness Corporate to shed light on Amanda's horrible behavior and my overall experience with Snap Fitness, Harahan, LA - in specific details.

Awful Customer service. The manager will fine you $40 for not reracking two 45lb plates. No warning! I called other snap fitness locations and they do not do this!!! Been going here over a year!!! This is not in the contract, they added the $40 on to my auto draft!!! Beware of malpractice!!!!

Awful customer service. Lost my access card, called multiple days in a row and no answer. When they ‘finally’ answered four days later they said it would be shipped to me in a week.
Before I joined, I tried to go tour the gym and talk to someone about joining. When I got there in the middle of the day, the guy at the desk would not let us in and just looked at us. We did not get to go inside before joining or talk to anyone. It’s a very nice, clean gym but the customer service ruins it. They obviously don’t care about their members much less keeping them. Needless to say I am no longer a member.

The staff is friendly and keep the gym equipment clean and maintained. The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because the water fountains are gross and the water is always lukewarm. They also barely shoot out of the spicket. Fix that and I'll change my rating. ;)

Just the right amount of equipment, but it is by far the hottest gym in the city, and I don't mean in a good way!! Do not come workout and expect the AC to ever be fully functioning!
