We had a bad experience at another dance studio, so I was nervous about jumping in to someplace new, but my daughter REALLY wanted to dance again. Her schedule is quite tricky because of gymnastics, but Amanda said she will do whatever she can to get my girl dancing again and she did. We love the laid back environment, their willingness to work with families and the staff. Amanda and the crew bend over backwards for their students. We feel very fortunate to have found this studio, but most importantly, my daughter absolutely loves it as well! Thank you AoD for all you do!

AOD is such a great place to Dance. When we relocated to Maine we came about half way through the season 2 years ago and I had contacted Amanda because my daughter really wanted to dance still and without question put her in classes. My daughter is on the younger and was asked to be on the comp team the next year because they believed in her. She was then dancing with girls a few years older than her and my daughter loved every second of it. They knew her potential and pushed her to do amazing things.
AOD is definitely like a family.
I had gone through some personal things and Amanda was more than understand through the entire thing. She even offered to pick my daughter up for me so she could dance.
All the teachers have big hearts for their students.
I couldn’t think of a better dance studio to be at!
You definitely will not regret singing up!

Although I am not a student of this academy my little sister is. From what she and my mother have told me this studio deserves more stars then google will allow me to give. The instructor is a great teacher and a very kind individual. I have no problems giving this 5 stars for their amazing service.

I love the Academy of Dance......even better, my daughter does too! There are so many classes to choose from and the tuition is affordable. The instruction and patience is amazing. We couldn't have found a better studio.

My daughter has been dancing at The Academy of Dance for 6 years. We absolutely love it. I love the open family atmosphere. I love that we are able to see them practicing any time. I love that the fundraising we do is credited directly to our own account to offset costume costs. They offer many different kinds of dance. All of the teachers are fabulous and the owners are wonderful to work with. I also love that they are affordable and accommodating and family oriented.

My daughter started dance this past year with the Academy of Dance and was a shy little girl who has blossomed into an energetic talkactive girl who loves to go to dance and make friends. We love the Academy of Dance. My daughter was very introverted and shy before she started dance. Since joining the Academy of Dance, her confidence has grown hugely, and she has lots of new Studio friends. Her teacher is nurturing and friendly, and my daughter feels like the Studio is her second home. I can't say enough good things about the Academy of Dance, and I would recommend that you give it a try if you are looking for a Dance Studio in your area.

I would have preferred to respond to each person that had rated a 1 star however Google does not seem to allow me to do so. For those that have rated a 1 star, I want to let everyone know that The Academy of Dance is under new ownership as of a month ago. The owner's are very close dear friend's of mine and I have known them for many years. They pride themselves on Customer Satisfaction and believe in total Transparency. If anyone has had any complaints in the past I ask that you please give them the opportunity to show you what The Academy of Dance is truly about and how great of a place it is and will be for you and your children to attend and learn how to Dance. The teacher we had for my daughters original class was fun and helpful. However the studio itself is always cold, the floor is uneven with a large bubble in it and caused some concerns as a parent of a young child. The communication about fees and when to except them is non existent. And the owners wouldn’t even have a conversation with me personally when there were issues that stemmed from the handling of my child’s class at the Christmas performance. Our class got canceled due to some of these issues so we tried another class and the teacher embarrassed us in front of all the other parents. The lack of communication or response from this dance studio is why I will never recommend them to anyone.

Very unprofessional dance studio. TONS of hidden fees. Was charged twice for dance shoes that only lasted a month until the heel came completely off. Location is terrible, had drunk people walking into studio mistaking it for the liquor store located next door. If you plan to use the restroom here, you have to walk around the plaza to the back of building just to use the bathroom and even then the key doesn’t work. Class always starts late, and instructors provide little to no information regarding performances, scheduling, pricing etc.. and it’s next to impossible to get in touch with the owners of this studio. When I finally did get a call back to discuss my Experiences, I was met with attitude and excuses as to why I shouldn’t be refunded my money. Terribly run business. Would not recommend.

Studio has an unprofessional feel- it is hard to communicate with the owner (doesn't seem to take feedback seriously or care about dance), numerous hidden expenses, late starts to class with little apology and poor planning for events.
