I’ve been taking Pilates at Body Wise since September of 2024 and it’s changed my life. I started off going once a week, just to see how I liked it, but after a few weeks I was hooked! I started going twice, then three times a week. Anne is a great instructor. She explains why you’re doing the movements you’re doing and what part of your body it’s impacting. After a while, you notice yourself growing more in touch with your body and the way that it moves. You understand your muscles better. You notice your balance improving. I’ve taken mostly Anne’s classes over my almost year of Pilates, but Erin and Leanne are also great! Erin has such a calm energy that’s great for a cool Friday evening session, while Leanne is amazing at giving you colorful and fun explanations of how to move your body the right way. It’s also super affordable! Check out what a Pilates class costs in Bar Harbor, Portland, etc. you’ll be soooo glad you stopped by body wise if you have the chance. Very clean! Has a rest room. Up to date equipment. Great downtown location. 10/10

I really enjoyed my first time on the reformer! I was a little nervous, but she made it very easy for me to follow along and made sure I was doing everything properly! She made it a lot less intimidating and I will definitely be back for more!

This was my first Pilates experience and let me be the first to tell you how INCREDIBLE it was. The environment is so calm and the lights are dimmed. The instructor is so motivating but in a quiet manor. The class itself was so so wonderful! It felt like a low intensity work out mixed with being on a chiropractor table. My bones and joints have never been so happy! I never thought low intensity would be so rewarding because we’ve always been taught that HIIT is the only way to exercise. Well let me be the first to tell you I burned just as many calories and felt great the entire time!

I took my first ever Pilates reformer class here- people were welcoming and I was given guidance without feeling like I interrupted the class. Very easy environment. I will be back!

I tried pilates for the first time here. Instruction was given where needed without me feeling like I was interrupting the class. Everyone was very nice and it was fun. I will definitely be back. :)
