We are a fitness studio located in Yarmouth, Maine. We teach a variety of classes for all ages and skill levels looking to become stronger and part of a positive community. We also offer personal 1 on 1 training and group training.
Em Fitness thrives with a welcoming community and the commitment of excellent skilled coaches to help you reach your goals. Helping you build confidence in your life through becoming stronger, is one of our greatest goals!

I've been working / training with Coach Gio for almost a year and half and have become stronger, healthier and way more active. His training program has enabled me to strengthen my core, avoid injury and take on day-to-day sports and activities that I may have skipped before. He always brings positivity, good tunes, great ideas and a customized plan to help me achieve my goals. The entire Em Fitness crew is special part of the community here, we're lucky to have them.

I always was hesitant to participate in group exercise classes. After a couple years of prompting from my close friend I finally entered a beginning weight lifting class at EM Fitness. I was hooked! Emily fosters such a welcoming and supportive community. I love how all of the classes provide intense and targeted workouts. Each trainer is kind, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and joyful!
The group classes and personal training sessions fill my cup socially, while I am participating in solid workouts every single time. EM Fitness’ physical space is plain cool and the natural light is energizing. It’s amazing when the garage doors can be open during a session! Thank you for providing this gem for our community!

I joined EM Fitness over a year ago and haven’t looked back…I’m hooked! The studio is welcoming, spacious, and simply a fun place to workout. I especially enjoy the small group classes - it’s a nice mix of “working out together”, while getting individual coaching throughout each session.

All of the fitness instructors are professional & experts in their field. A big dose of gratitude to Emily, Gio, & Abby for their steady guidance and encouragement - they’ve helped me reach new fitness goals as part of my health improvement journey.

My husband and I have trained together at EMFITNESS during the past two-and-a-half years. We are both over 70 and have health issues that necessitate exercises being adapted for each of us. The two trainers we have worked with here are clearly dedicated to fitness themselves and have had the professional knowledge and experience to help us maintain our strength and mobility. They are kind - but also demanding and funny - a great combination to keep us coming back!

We have both gone to other gyms over the years and never been in a better one; there is an atmosphere of camraderie created by Emily and the other topnotch coaches that make EMFITNESS an outstanding gym. We cannot recommend it enough!

Over the past year, this intimate and cozy gym (we’re talking string lights and cute plants!) has completely transformed my life. Thanks to its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, I’ve lost 40 pounds since May 2024 and experienced a total body transformation.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly faces and a warm sense of community. The staff genuinely care about your fitness journey, offering personalized advice and encouragement every step of the way. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, this gym is a judgment-free zone where everyone cheers each other on.

One of the standout features of this gym is the incredible attention the coaches pay to proper form. During every session, they’re always nearby to offer helpful corrections and ensure you’re using the right technique. This not only helps me avoid injury but also makes my workouts much more effective. Their dedication to detail gives me the confidence to push myself and maximize my results safely.

The equipment is top-notch, and the variety of classes ensures there’s something for everyone. All of the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, helping me progress week after week. (Shout out to Coach Abby and Coach Gio for hand delivering heavier dumbbells to my bench when I’m underestimating my strength 😉)

I had the opportunity to work with Emily while training to become a Smokejumper (firefighter who parachutes into remote wildfires). Given the extreme nature of this job, I needed to find a workout program that would prepare me for anything from running 30 miles, to rucking 150 pounds through the mountains of Idaho… I needed a program that built me from the ground up as a tactical athlete. Emily programmed all my workouts and also helped me with nutrition coaching. She developed a program that incorporated absolute strength, endurance and mobility and prepared me very well for my selection course. The nutrition coaching was huge. My body composition changed within a month, and I saw results. I would recommend EM Fitness to anyone who wants to crush their goals. If you want a fun, challenging environment to become the best version of yourself this is the place!

If you are looking for an incredibly effective, fun, empowering, energizing way to boost your overall health, GO SEE EMILY. I cannot say enough good things about her and how she runs her business and treats her clients. First of all, the gym space is incredible! Fresh air, perfect set up, and extremely clean with a welcoming community vibe. I have attended several group classes, but the bulk of my experience with Emily is through her virtual personal training program with nutrition coaching. Within the group class setting, Emily creates an energizing and lively atmosphere with the perfect playlist every time! The classes are an absolute blast. The circuits she sets up provide a perfect blend of exercises to keep it interesting and ensure you get a great full body burn. In the personal training setting, the guidance and support she has given me over the last six months have truly changed my life. As a busy mom of young children and having recently had my fourth baby, I felt lost in terms of how to reclaim my body, lose the baby weight, and eat properly to fuel myself. I had always fallen victim to the cycle of starving myself and doing excessive amounts of cardio, which left me feeling exhausted all the time while not really gaining the results I was looking for. Emily gave me the tools to feel empowered in my food choices, provided incredible advice and created a custom workout routine that I absolutely LOVE doing every morning before I start the day with my kids. She has changed the way I treat my body and I’ve seen real results for the first time! I finally feel like I can eat properly, I have tons of energy, and more muscle than I’ve ever had in my life. The at home program she creates is very simple to use within the app, customized for you, and I have new workouts to look forward to every couple weeks, so it’s never too repetitive! I’ve enjoyed it so much that now my husband has joined a program with her as well! I absolutely love working with Emily and recommend her to all my friends. She is incredible at what she does. My experience at Empowered Performance has been top notch. It’s a small, personalized gym that actually focuses on community, and takes my needs into consideration. I love the bootcamp class because I get to sweat AND work through a hand injury without pain. The owner Emily, is super friendly and always takes the time to modify things and adjust them based on my needs. 10/10!
