I typically don’t leave a review for a business but I shall here lol. I started doing kickboxing back in early March of this year and that was the first class I started taking. One of my friends talked me into it and I had a blast. I now take way more classes than I started. Eye Candy Dance & Fitness studio welcomes everyone and has a good variety of classes. I have a made a lot of fun and good memories there. Megan and the teachers are all supportive of everyone’s growth and progress at the studio. I would consider the all the people that I have met there my third family.

Megan and Eric have been so inviting and supportive. They work incredibly hard to build a place for people to explore themselves while providing a studio for a body positive exercise experience. Welcoming everyone of every background, I recommend reaching out to eye candy if you ever wanted to try unconventional exercise, like pole dancing, belly dancing, kick boxing etc. there is a space and activity for everyone! ✨💪🙏✨

I've worked and performed with Eye Candy Studio for over a year now and I have nothing but nice things to say about the venue and Megan. She allowed me to try out her pole dancing classes and I've gained more confidence in my self esteem. Megan is a great instructor and mentor. Cheers to u Megan!

I’ve had the pleasure of working side by side with Megan and she’s been nothing short of sweet welcoming loving and kind! I’ve had the opportunity to take classes, host my own and experience others. There’s a little bit of something for everyone! Body positivity, encouraging and a safe place. I recommend eye candy to anyone in the area looking to pick up a hobby with a fun work out. You’ll always have my support!

Let me tell you something about myself and about Eye Candy. Last October, I was struggling so badly with anxiety and depression as well as sever body dysmorphia. I walked in the doors unsure of how it would go. I was immediately met with smiling faces and the most positive group of people I’ve ever met. The owner, teachers, and peers were all so incredibly warm and I instantly felt welcome. After taking classes for few weeks I was given the opportunity to audition to become one of their Bombshell dancers. The friendships and family I have found at Eye Candy have given me so much happiness and fulfillment. It’s more than just dance. It’s friendship, confidence, and community. I saw the bad reviews left three months ago and most are fake accounts made by someone who was very toxic. The owner does not allow bullying or prejudice to take place in her studio and when confronted with it and asked to sign a code of conduct, the person posting fake reviews decided to take their bullying to online. Don’t believe those negative reviews. The owner offers a safe place where everyone is respected, protected and nurtured. Dancing with Eye Candy has been and continues to be one of the best experiences of my life!

This studio is a place where everyone is welcomed. Everyone is empowered to be themselves & love who they are. Classes here have made me learn that my body can do so much and I have found a family of people who I love.

As I read through some of the negative comments, one is from an instructor who was asked to leave and her friends and daughter making nasty comments about the business. It's nothing short of harassment and I wouldn't let it sway you from doing something you love or trying something new.

I started here very anxious and unsure. The owner made me feel welcome and encouraging. She was a big cheerleader and helped me come out of my shell. I have gained community, friendship, my health, movement, and fun. All the teachers made me feel the same way. They treat you with respect and dignity. I havent really felt with any other community.

I don't leave reviews often on stuff but need to add something about Eye Candy in Bangor Maine. The owner tries her best to invite all into the studio and is welcoming. As well as all the teachers. When dealing with the public sometimes you run into people who want to create drama and do nothing but talk negatively about a place and try and run it into the ground out of spite. The owner has handled this with grace and respect to the studio and all people who she works with to make it thrive. Eye Candy has amazing classes such as pole, belly dance, swing, and burlesque classes. In life people are going to disagree but how you handle those disagreements shows character and the people who have caused the drama and continue to create drama have shown there character. These classes have given me friends and community. They are unlike any other dance studio. Other studios made me feel bad for my size but Eye candy never has. They have embraced me and everyone wholly. Come see this studio for yourself.

I cannot tell you enough positive things about this studio! The amount of acceptance, respect, and pure joy I find in this atmosphere is amazing. Nothing but family! The owner doesn't tolerate anything less and I love that for her, her teachers and her students. ❤️

I took classes here for about a year on the recommendation of a friend. I've met some pretty awesome people doing what I was doing, and I learned a lot about myself along the way. But I can't pretend that there hasn't already been an established pattern, and I couldn't ignore it when it started happening to people I care about, especially after I was also told not to come back under the flimsy guise of "guilt by association." Anyone who knows me will tell you I crave consistency, and I notice when someone switches up on me. Throughout this whole ordeal, there's been a lack of focus and attention to detail, they're not very organized, they flip-flop a lot between ideas, and they don't always think everything through trying to carry out those ideas. I wanted to believe in their vision and I thought the work they were doing was important, but I have found that much like the popular cliques I dealt with in my younger days, that these people come with their own set of headaches. I would advise against getting involved with them to the extent that I did.

I am not one to post online or review for anything. And I do not live in the Area. But I was visiting with a couple friends. And went to an event and a few classes it was OK. But I soon found out that the owner was as simply to put it two-faced and a liar. And I do not deal with Toxic people like the owner. I am very disappointed in the owner because not only did she lie and act two-faced to me. She also banned two of my friends and block them on Facebook. I was friends with her on Facebook. But she unfriended me. This situation with eye candy is so dramatic and petty. I do not like dealing with people who are very petty. And I got dragged into this drama when I am an innocent bystander/victim. I suggest that if you’re thinking to go to this dance studio, you think twice and listen to all of the reviews that people are giving about eye candy studio, and the owner.

Took a couple classes here—teachers were nice but the studio space was disgusting. Dirt/debris from maintenance all over the floor. There was also an off putting energy in the air…seemed like people were beefing. I don’t really recommend this studio.

I’m normally not one to make waves or speak out against anyone but something happened today that was truly upsetting and disappointing so I thought I’d put my two cents in. For the past year and a half, I’ve been taking classes at Eye Candy Dance Studio in Bangor. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time there and have met some amazing people and incredible teachers who have shared their love of dance with me. That being said, today I went to the studio and realized that the doors were locked and when I proceeded to the Facebook page, my account had also been blocked. I was banned from the studio with no prior notice from the owner. Recently, the owner of Eye Candy Dance Studio has been under scrutiny for some alleged unethical decisions involving event permits. How is this relevant to me? Someone who I am close with has rightfully brought these shortcomings to attention which led to her banning me on the basis of association—despite the fact that I have never spoken negatively about her or her business. She also argued with me about issuing a refund for classes I had pre paid for. I say this with full sincerity and truthfulness: the owner is cheap (she cuts financial corners), manipulative (she strategically coerces people into having her back when she’s in the wrong), and a liar (she is dishonest with the intent of appearing like a victim). If you have the means to, I recommend you bring your business elsewhere.
