Move ME Pilates & Barre is a boutique studio dedicated to helping you move better, feel better, and live better. We offer expert-led small group Reformer, Mat, and Barre classes, as well as personalized one-on-one sessions designed to meet your unique needs.

The teachers and community at MoveME are so welcoming and love what they do, it makes exercising fun!! I genuinely look forward to class. I've had some of the best fitness experiences of my life at Move ME. I'm usually uncomfortable going to a fitness class, but not at Move ME. The culture at the studio is top notch, from the amazing instructors to the other clients. The instructors are outstanding. They explain everything clearly and provide modification options depending on your fitness level, not to mention just make the classes fun. You are working hard but are also having a great time while doing it.

Knowledgeable instruction and welcoming studio. During my visit to Portland, my instructor was Renee. The quality of the instruction and awareness of individual students’ abilities and needs made for a great experience. I took- mat class, ballet barre, and a private reformer class. As a former dancer, the ballet barre was my favorite class, since it blends exercise and the art of ballet. All classes were excellent!

Cannot say enough good things about this studio!!!! The teachers are so skilled friendly and supportive !! Update: I've been going to MoveMe for a couple years now, and I'm just as happy with this studio now as I was when I started. I never in a million years thought I'd be someone to take Barre classes, but I've since expanded from just pilates to Barre and the awesome new strength class. I always joke that I just go for the social aspects—not entirely true, I do love the fitness part, but I really love the vibe and the friendships I've made here. I primarily take classes with Melissa and Shannon. Melissa has created such a wonderful, welcoming space, and Shannon knows how to bring the fun while making you work your butt off. :)

Deciding to try pilates again after driving by this studio several times feels like the best thing I've done for myself all year.
I was a little nervous at first—though I'd done a few mat pilates classes over a decade ago, I'd done yoga for years and always found the atmosphere to be somewhat competitive and "showy." MoveME pilates is worlds away from all of that, and I felt at ease the moment I walked in. It's a beautiful, cozy studio. The atmosphere is relaxed, and everyone I encountered is super warm and friendly. I feel very fortunate to have such a great place practically right around the corner from where I live—I'll be spending a lot of time here!

I’m so happy to have found Move ME. I find the classes engaging and enjoy the variety the studio offers- including the different kinds of barre, mat Pilates, reformer and EXO chair options. The instructors and students get to know each other by name and enjoy catching up before and after class. You can tell by the way the instructors lead their classes that they have undergone rigorous training and certification. They make changes to classes and offer modifications that keep the classes feeling fresh. The light-filled rooms in the new studio have been a beautiful place to see the seasons change over the past year.

I was brand new to Pilates at MoveME a few years ago and have been coming ever since! Everyone at MoveME is welcoming and encouraging, and all of the instructors are highly skilled, making class both challenging and fun. I went to a group Pilates class for a bachelorette party and it was so much fun! I scheduled everything with Shannon who answered all of my emails promptly and was incredibly helpful with planning a big group class. Melissa was an awesome instructor and made everyone feel very comfortable. We had the best time and at the end, Shannon and Melissa set out fresh berries, snacks, and Prosecco! This studio truly goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend it more!

. I have been coming regularly since it opened. As a none athlete I was concerned it might be too much go go ra ra this just irritates me. No BS encouragement. I love Melissa and all the instructors I’ve had. I encourage any none athlete to give them a try.

Pilates at Move ME Pilates has given me a flexibility I thought I would never have at the age of 76! I can get on the floor with my grandkids and play badminton with them without any pain. Before I started with Melissa, I had pain getting in and out of the car and even had some rotator cuff pain, all of which are completely gone. When I see friends my age who are struggling, I tell them my story hoping they will see there is relief even when age is not on your side.

The instructors are consistently kind, professional, attentive and thorough. It almost feels like a private lesson, as they all always pay close attention to me (while also paying attention to the other students!). Every time I take a class, I know that I have gotten the best instruction possible and made the most of my time there. It is a spectacular studio!

I'm a PILATES GIRL now!! Absolutely obsessed after just 2 classes with Abbey. She makes me feel SO comfortable and capable. I am not a fitness person by any means so I have been intimidated by pilates for so long. I finally sucked it up and bought a pass. WOW I wish I started earlier I'm literally in love. Anyone can do it, you have to take 3 one-on-one classes first so you get direct attention to learn all the moves before going into regular classes. It's so much more fun than you think it is and your body will BURN good for days after. I can't wait to see how I look and feel after a couple months of this. Abbey is 10 stars.

I have been driving past the MoveME studio for years and decided THIS was the year I was going to try pilates. I LOVE IT! It's the perfect balance of movement and stretching, and Melissa (owner & instructor) keeps the routine fresh from week to week. I've noticed a big difference in my strength and endurance. If yoga is too slow for you but cardio is too much, then pilates is just right. I love working on the reformer and can do things now that I couldn't even 3 months ago. I have more flexiblity and less joint and muscle pain. I'm so glad I took a chance on trying something new. It's the first exercise regimen that's I've stuck too. The studio is bright and clean, plenty of parking and lots of class options to suit your schedule and fitness needs. And the instructors are wonderful - patient and encouraging. It's the best decision I've made in 2022!

MoveME is a wonderful studio. There is a range of classes offered each week -barre, pilates, and yoga- all taught by Melissa. No matter your experience level, you can take any of her classes and always get an excellent workout. Her high energy and the little community she has built at this location keeps you going to class.
