The staff was nice they showed me around and answered my questions but I also revived some strange looks when I tried to talk about machines and weights instead of just the cardio based machines. After starting my membership I went a few times where high school aged guys spent time out loud verbally judging and criticizing other people and there forms. When I went to cancel my membership it was a quick and easy process from my phone at home with everything easy to find but the staff was also happy to answer any questions I had over the phone about how to cancel my membership.

I have been coming to Windham planet fitness for over 10 years and I'm not sure why there had to be a complete elimination of cardio equipment for users over 6'4. A few years back the arc runner was "upgraded" and my knees hit the handles on the new ones. Now 10 stationary bikes have been replaced by 6 that don't adjust for my height. Lots of empty space where these other bikes could have stayed but now the equipment is at weird angles to make it look like it takes up more space? Idk but the entire design is ridiculous and infuriating because I'd like to have some cardio options beyond a treadmill to help with low impact on my joints. In addition to that frustrating aspect multiple machines are broken down and not fixed in a timely manner so all in all its coming to a point where I don't know if it's even worth the membership here. And one final thing, the cooler should have Gatorade if you're going to have the TV's advertise it while I'm working out.

Okay, I write this review reluctantly as I'm not a fan of hurting local businesses. However, after responding to the gym's email survey with these same complaints last month, I have seen absolutely no effort made to fix any of the issues.

I lift at the downtown location often, and I've visited a dozen or so locations since my first time as a member. The Windham location is BY FAR the worst PF I have ever been to.

The main issue here is the lack of cleanliness. The locker rooms are horrific, with a ton of dust and clumps of dirt on the floor. The bottoms of the lockers are disgusting. I practically have to scrub my shower shoes off after I'm dressed! Oh, and they don't have paper towels in the locker room or bathrooms. I see most guys standing on a workout shirt or a towel, then shaking off all the crap from the floor.

The gym area itself is not the worst, but also just not clean... I honestly try not to touch the ground at this place... There are several staff members hanging out by the front desk in the morning hours. I have never once witnessed any of them vacuuming or mopping. The downtown Portland PF location has the kids cleaning so often that they're almost in the way (but far more preferable to what's happening here). I've mentioned it in the survey, to which I received a reply, and even mentioned it kindly to the staff at the front. I've also heard other members complaining about it. Not sure why it's still going on.

No hot water, no lukewarm water, no room temperature water. Freezing ice cold water. Unbearable. It wasn't user error I spent 10 minutes trying anything and everything, I'd get spurts of cold but it was mostly ice. Told the desk employee and they said 'Oh no'. I have an hour long drive home and I'm disgusting with sweat. Super sucks, not impressed.

It's a gym with everything you need. Some people hate on planet fitness for not having as many free weights but there is definitely enough of them for a complete and good workout and if you actually know what you are doing you will know that just free weights aren't the most optimal choice for all your exercises. All of the employees were at the front desk, phones, gaggling around, the female bathroom looked like a hurricane had blown through there. It’s definitely a hot spot for the high schoolers who have absolutely no gym etiquette so let be a warning to others. I figured I’d give this location a shot while I’m at my parents but I think I’ll stick with my home club in Brunswick

Horrible staff on the phone, use a different gym because this one sucks. Haven’t been there in like a year and a half. Keeps trying to charge me and says I owe them 274 dollars 😂 bank has blocked all transactions from them. When I call to inquire about them stealing my money, the girl on the phone of course goes with, “if you’re going to yell at me “ I’m in an office with other people literally none of them heard me talking, I wasn’t yelling. This is why I go to a real gym. I don’t care about the owners response. I want my money refunded and my subscription canceled. I shouldn’t have to walk in to a place that I don’t go anywhere near anymore just to tell them something I’ve already told them a million times. Cancel the membership. And unless you are absolutely positive that you want this gym to be your gym do not get a membership here.

This was my favorite gym because they kept it so clean - not sure if it’s just the weekend staff but the girl seems more interested in being on her phone instead of doing some necessary cleaning. The bathroom floor/sink is wet, toilet paper/paper towels on the floor, hair everywhere, shower area seems clean but haven’t been inside them. Really disappointed due to the fact I told someone at the front desk and hour & 1/2 ago, still looks the same.
Update: Caught a very bad cold, started feeling it last night after I went to the gym didn’t go anywhere else. More than likely due to unsanitary equipment, going to also add the trash cans we’re overflowing. I’m not reaching out to anyone except next time I go to cancel my membership 😂😂😂 thanks tho.

The club manager, Noah, is a shameful representation of Planet Fitness. He is unprofessional and fails to train his employees to ensure they're familiar with the club's practices. My membership freeze failed due to the club's system being down and also a staff member failing to do so when I had requested. As a result, I was charged and Noah was completely unsympathetic despite the errors being on the club's part. Instead of providing any sort of customer service, Noah blamed his staff's negligence on me, lied to the member on several occasions, and then canceled my membership without my consent. He was curt, rude, yelled, and was completely unprofessional. Currently in the process of fililng a formal complaint with corporate. Noah does NOT belong in his current field. Just in terms of the horrible staff experience alone, I would NOT recommend this location. Also, the locker rooms are FILTHY and stink! Again, reflects upon management, Noah. The staff do NOT do their job, but rather just hang out talking smack at the front desk. THey clearly don't really earn their paycheck.

Lots of cardio equipment. However this seems to be the local meeting spot for high school kids. You can never get in on one of the 3 smith machines because the kids hang around them and talk. Staff does nothing about it no policing of it at all. It is a very clean gym just wish there was more opportunity to work out and the kids would find another place to hang out.

I visit annually from Florida and for the last two years utilized their day pass ($10) or weekly pass ($25). The facility is clean, the equipment is in good condition and the staff pleasent. Sophia was especially nice in noting that if a day pass is purchased on a particular day it will be honored for entry the following day as long as one arrives prior to the 24 hr mark on the receipt. Not a lot of choices wifhin 30 miles so it was good to find a large well kept gym despite the lack of competition.

My 75 year old father relies on this gym for his fitness and to get him out of the house. Now, he cannot go because there are people - members and employees - working and working out without masks. This place is a Covid super-spreader vector. It’s really a shame they refuse to follow the rules.
