If you’re thinking about joining Skolfield Sports Performance, the answer is yes. It is a facility where athletes train to become the best version of themselves. Skolfield Sports Performance is a great way for an athlete to work on their individual goals. For example, mine was speed. So the coaches create a program to fit an athlete's goals. If you’re anxious or nervous about going to the facility. The trainers and staff are super helpful and very kind. I’ve gotten to know each of the trainers, and it is a positive and encouraging environment.
Since going to Skolfield Sports Performance, I have noticed many changes in myself. I have increased my speed as well as my overall body strength. Through these workout programs, I have learned how to push myself to the next level without injuries. Their athletes' nutrition plan is a great guide for athletes.

My 13 year old has been coming here for - couple years. We did the parisi speed program and then moved into the 13+ program. This program has helped him tremendously with his baseball performance and confidence. My 13-year-old daughter broke her tibia in November 2023 while doing a back handspring on the beam. Once she was almost fully healed, she combined PT with her busy gymnastics schedule. By the following year, she came back stronger, balancing 5 days a week of gymnastics and was on a competitive dance team. This year, she decided to step back from dance and focus on something new that could build muscle tone and help her as a level 7 gymnast - that’s where Skolfield’s came in.
She added 2 days of Skolfield’s training on top of her 5 days a week/18 hours of gymnastics each week and truly loved it. Seeing her excited to go to Skolfield’s, even before or after her long training days, was amazing. She saw real results and gains throughout the summer thanks to the supportive coaching and the program.
Stan, Peter, Lisa, and the coaching team are fantastic to work with. They welcomed her, pushed her in the right ways, and made the experience positive and motivating. Delilah can’t wait for her schedule to free up so she can join a drop-in class when her schedule allows. I contacted Stan Skolfield a couple of years ago after struggling with a herniated disc and weight gain. I am a six time Ironman Finisher and had never been in a spot where I was struggling with my strength and fitness. I had never been able to find a way to include strength training into my programs. After an in-depth evaluation, Stan designed a program for me that was specific to my needs. I get a completely new program every four weeks. He monitors my progress, challenges me when I need it and follows up with me on a regular basis. As a result, I am pain-free and stronger than ever. We couldn't be more impressed with the Skolfield programming. My freshman son has expressed repeatedly how the program really feels to be designed for athletes and their specific goals with the lower rep numbers and higher weight usage. This program has pushed him to even run 2 miles on his off days so that he can continue to build speed and agility.
As a parent, I was not sure what was going happen with my son had injury and was not able to train at the school gym due to limitations. The Skolfield program has significantly given him hope to be competent and ready for football conditioning come this June.
As a duel athlete where he has been put on the offensive and defensive line for football, even at a smaller weight than most dline and oline highschoolers, the Skolfield program has supported his goal for strength and small weight gain in a productive and healthy way! This will again become a very important strategy when he needs to figure out which class he will wrestle in come end of Fall.
The trainers at Skolfield have been nothing but encouraging while also holding my son to a standard of independence and accountability!!

I can only speak of the experience with Pete Remmes, but my 9 year old son enjoyed working with him and his assistants in the speed and conditioning summer camp which was really Parisi Speed School drills. As a former D1 athlete, I didn’t learn about Parisi drills until high school and it benefitted me greatly. The fact that my soon to be fifth grader is getting exposure to Parisi drills at age 9 with a strength and conditioning coach who coached at high levels ie NFL and tier 1 collegiate football programs is awesome and I look forward doing more of these drills at SSP soon!

Skolfield Sports Performance has been a wonderful experience thus far. My son (13) has just completed the onboarding program and has shared how much he’s enjoyed the program and how great the coaches are. He’s gained strength and feels stronger and has built more confidence in his workouts. They have helped him set goals and celebrate goals when met. This has been a super positive experience and I would highly recommend to anyone. He definitely looks forward to going to each session and is continuing on with the next 4 week program. I have found the Team to be super responsive, knowledgeable and positive. Meeting with a coach the first time we arrived, getting the tour, and being present for parts of the initial assessment process and goal discussions was helpful in understanding how they build a program for each athlete. I only have good things to say about my experience at Skolfield Sports Performance! Playing soccer in college had been a goal of mine for a long time, and my senior year of high school, I decided to meet with Stan to learn more about how strength training and nutrition would improve my game. Three years later, I can confidently say joining SSP was one of the best decisions I have made. The personalized programs and interaction with trainers and other athletes makes the gym’s environment friendly and comfortable while still encouraging athletes to practice discipline through consistent exercise and eating habits. At SSP, athletes document their results for every workout (by hand, writing weights/reps/times for different exercises), so there is physical evidence of both improvements throughout a program, as well as areas of strength and areas needing improvement. I have seen an increase in strength, power, agility, and speed during my programs, and have become even more confident in my performance on the field and in the weight room. Stan and his team are a fantastic group and if any athlete is serious about improving their athleticism, I would suggest they join SSP as soon as they can!

I started going to Skolfield Sports Performance my freshman year of high school and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, my older brother had gone before me and when he told me about how well organized it is for athletes who really want to improve in the physical part of their game and put on weight, I knew I had to check it out. When I first walked into Skolfields I told Stan Skolfield about how I wanted to gain weight and increase my strength and speed and he told me how I can and will get to the level I need in order to make an impact on the field. When I started working out at Skolfields I weighed about 135 pounds and had no idea how to properly workout, now I’m weighing in at 175 pounds and workout 4-5 times a week. The trainers are very helpful and were always happy to assist me with anything I was struggling on and are also very easy to talk to. During my time at Skolfield I made friendships with people from other towns that I probably never would’ve met anywhere else and it was another reason to look forward to going to workout. If it weren’t for Skolfield Sport Performance, I wouldn’t be where I’m at now in my athletic and life journey and I’ll always be thankful for them welcoming me.

I came to Stan with what presented as a shoulder injury, what I thought was tendinitis. The Skolfield’s crew helped me get so much stronger in order to help prevent my injury from coming back; even though we eventually found it it was an injury that couldn’t heal on its own. However, the strength that I gained working at Skolfield’s has helped me in a number of ways: setting records while I was in high school, and being confident enough to continue working out on my own. Even though I don’t work out with them anymore, they still check in on me and I still keep in touch with the friends I made at Skolfield’s. Wow!! Stan and his team are amazing!! This program really works!! My son has had problems with his knee for the past 3 football seasons which caused him to sit out a lot! We saw his PC doctor for this a couple times. She told us it was just because he is growing so fast. Our first assessment (extremely thorough) with Stan, he knew right what the problem was!!! His muscles were tight and just needed some massage. Which btw is Incorporated to every workout. Skolfield really makes sure your kids are taking care of their bodies so not to cause any injuries. They keep the kids accountable. My son has seen amazing gains and learned so much. He learned how to work out the whole body, fuel his body with the appropriate nutrition, and listen to his body when it’s saying it needs rest. Skolfield came up with an excellent meal plan with all the information needed. They have amazing work outs designed for what each individual person is trying to achieve. At anytime my son has question or isn’t quite sure, there is someone there to help him and not make home feel dumb. This is the best program. If he feels like he is getting an injury or sore muscle all he has to do is tell someone and they take care of it!! Hands down without a doubt! our oldest recently went to Boston for an evaluation. The coaches asked what he's been doing, what his program was. They said coming out of covid they aren't seeing the caliber of athletes they were seeing a few years ago. Skolfields's Sports Performance made the difference. They set him up with a comprehensive high quality program. it isn't just a gym, it is a fundamental building block for young athletes. The program teaches these athletes about nutrition, proper weight training, injury prevention and most importantly, how to set goals and be accountable for their progress. My boys are 13 and 15 , they look forward to their workouts because they see results, they eat breakfast now ( and it's not cereal!), they have confidence in their bodies and their abilities. It has been my son's dream to play college baseball ever since he was a little kid. But by sophomore year at 150lbs, he really wasn't standing out. He was a decent athlete and pitcher, but he had more to offer. We were always looking for baseball specific training, and came across SSP through a mutual friend. The facility was 1.5 hours away from us, one way. Stan gave him an evaluation, which lasted well over an hour, and I was very surprised at how in-depth and comprehensive it was. Nutrition, hydration, sleep, grades...it wasn't just weights. We committed to 3 months, 3x per week. I can tell you, as will my son, it was the best decision we could have made. My son had gains in almost every metric, his mechanics greatly improved, he put on 30lbs and got stronger, and genuinely felt better. Stan and his team provided a clear path with measurable goals for my son Josh to build on to improve his pitching performance.

My son started at Skolfield Sports Performance 8 months ago. He had just come off of a year where the pandemic had pretty much benched him from all activity and with that came a loss of self confidence. This had never been an issue for him as a young athlete, and as a parent I was concerned. Something was missing.
We had done our best to prepare him for his upcoming season. We spent countless hours practicing. Had attempted to get him involved in some programs to help get him physically prepared. Something was still missing. He went through his season and never regained that confidence he once had. He was physically over matched and athletically was not where he once was.
Fast forward to the end of that season. My son was defeated. What happened ? We needed to make some major changes if we were going to get him back to being that kid that I knew. An energetic, funny, enthusiastic young man. I wanted to help him so much, but I had no idea what to do. This is when we met Stan Skolfield.
Stan met with my son and wanted to know exactly what his goals were. As my son was speaking with Stan, answering questions regarding his goals, what he would like to achieve, it became very apparent that Stan wanted to help my son. This wasn’t a sales pitch, this was a genuine interest on how Stan and his team could simply help him. It was at this moment that I knew how lucky we were to have walked into his facility that morning.
Since this initial meeting everything has changed for my son. Physically he is in the best shape he has ever been. More importantly, mentally he is as confident as he has ever been. And he is motivated to be the best he can be every time he steps foot into the facility.
As a parent, you will always want what is best for your children. Sometimes that means knowing when to ask for help. I am thankful every day knowing that there are still people out there like Stan and his team. A group that has provided my son with the support, motivation, and confidence to be his best every day. Despite having extraordinary passion, skills and work ethic for his favorite sport of baseball, my high school son's 150-pound frame and somewhat average strength made it difficult for him to stand out at various scouting events with college coaches last summer, even after a standout high school season as a sophomore.
Knowing and seeing several others who benefitted greatly from Skolfield Sports Performance -- and also knowing Stan's expertise and previous work within professional baseball -- we enlisted just last August despite some reservations about its overall cost.
In the 5 months since then, my son has added 30 pounds while also improving significantly on every metric of strength, speed, agility and overall athleticism. That is a result of his total devotion to SSP's personalized exercise program and nutrition guidance, both of which require and reward the true commitment and discipline that he already had within him. This program has also helped him get maximum benefit from those traits and also maximize his potential as a player.
His high school, travel ball and some college coaches have already taken notice of his physical transformation. To put it simply, Skolfield Sports Performance = results! Our son’s time at Skolfield has helped change him in numerous positive ways. Stan Skolfield provides knowledgeable staff who are current with the latest training methods and understand how to motivate and instill responsibility in athletes. My 16 year old son was looking for more than weight training; he wanted to be stronger, faster and be a presence on the soccer field. We began to see positive physical results shortly into the program. Following his individual training sessions we moved directly into the fall soccer season where we could see the results of his training and my son's hard work. My son had a significant knee injury in 2019 playing football. We went for physical therapy at a location where they were focused on getting him back to playing sports, and my son recovered enough to go back to football and baseball with a brace. There were a couple more tweaks, more PT, and the knee never really got better. When swim practice was causing knee pain over a year later, I reached out to our doctor and she recommended Stan and Skolfield Sports Performance. I can’t say enough about how positive this experience has been for my son and our family.
First appointment, there was a thorough assessment, and conversation about goals and expectations. This was more than just -we will make your knee better- it was a whole person assessment. There was clear communication about what they could offer, and what they did not offer. They spoke to my son as the near adult he is and there was a clear expectation that he would be driving the ship and he would get out of this experience what he put in. Also, that if he went all in, he would get results. I was impressed with Stan’s communication style and his obvious ability to speak to a teenager in a way that was effective.
The results have been amazing. His knee is so much better. He came home after a few weeks and was excited to show me he could bend it all the way. “I haven’t been able to do that in over a year!’”. He had worked very hard, and it paid off.
The program Stan created for our son went beyond knee rehab. My son learned about nutrition, why it is so important, and how to fuel his body in a way that is sustainable and logical. The strength and conditioning that came along with the work on his knee was amazing. The results we saw this summer baseball season were beyond our expectations. There was a clear improvement in both hitting and fielding. Had there been a football season, I am sure we would have seen a positive change in our son’s performance. Swim season this year has been knee pain-free. Our son is back to skiing, which he has skipped the last two years, not trusting his knee.
Stan and his team have been great during Covid. I have had no issues with their work to make sure everyone is safe and following guidelines.
I have found Stan and his team to be excellent communicators. When I have reached out, I have received answers to my questions.

" My two boys started with a Stan a few years ago. Ever since day one, the professionalism, concern for my sons safe growth and, positivity of the entire Skolfield experience has been incredible. With my boys playing hardcore sports, I wanted them to be the strongest, most agile and fastest they could be. I didn't want them to go to some lug head" gym and "pump iron" like I did when I was young. I wanted a program that would show them the correct way to improve their bodies and teach them the proper nutrition to feed it. Stan Skolfield's strength and conditioning programs have helped both boys put on a great deal of muscle, while maintaining their agility and speed. The result have amazing in their sports, how they feel about themselves and their self confidence.

I highly recommend you make Skolfield Sports performance your place of training. I have been working with Stan for the past two years and have seen nothing but positive results. Stan and his staff are devoted to making you a better athlete, and will push you to the max in order to get there. They care about each athlete, and build a specific program that fits the athletes personal needs. From my personal experience I was able to increase my exit velo from 85 mph to 99 mph in just two years. Also, I have increased my bodyweight from 150 to 185. The strength I have acquired, and speed/agility I have gained is worth every penny. Skolfield Sports Performance will be my training facility until my athletic career is over.
