The Spiral Goddess Collective is a wonderful place to take classes! I have been going for nearly two years now, though sometimes infrequently, and I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated when the class is over. I’ve gone to most of the classes offered at least once, and I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the instructors. They seem careful to choose people that prioritize inclusivity and accessibility. They have more and less structured classes, with a variety of movement styles and activity levels. I love how the instructors take requests from us for things we want to stretch in particular, and I never feel judged! There are also no mirrors in the space like many other studios, so I am much more able to focus on how I feel and not how I look. Couldn’t recommend more!!

When first walking in, I was wowed by the space! It's open, airy, gorgeous floors, so much room to move!
I've taken a few dance/movement therapy classes and I'm so impressed with the level of acceptance and body awareness that's encouraged by Sarah. It's so refreshing to just groove, it's almost like the good-old-days dancing with your buds.
Just an all around lovely experience ✨️

I visited the Spiral Goddess Collective for the first time on Sunday, May 25, 2025. It was a
deeply relaxing, healing, and restorative experience for me. I'm so glad I got to have this experience in community with others. I had procrastinated visiting the Spiral Goddess Collective because I knew I would have to climb some stairs to get to their studio. It was much easier than I thought it would be to go up the stairs. I felt very comfortable participating at a level that I was comfortable with physically even though some others were able to do more than me. Everyone at the group was very friendly and welcoming. I'm so glad I went and I definitely plan to go back.

I absolutely love this studio—it has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home, no matter which class they choose. The dance classes are incredibly fun and refreshingly unique—easy to follow at times, yet energizing enough to get your heart pumping. The yoga sessions are just as impressive, offering the perfect balance of challenge and tranquility, leaving you feeling grounded and at peace. Every class I’ve taken here has been a joy, and the beautiful, open space only adds to the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a vibrant and local fitness community.

I have attended a few classes with Sarah so far. I have never done a yoga class before other than at home. I decided to try the Spiral Goddess Collective as it seemed like a welcoming, safe space. From the moment I walked into my first class I felt so comfortable and welcome. Everyone is so friendly and the studio is comforting. It has been a helpful way for me to have a “reset” and to feel connected in the community. I’m already finding ways I can carve out more classes into my schedule.

The Spiral Goddess Collective is such an incredibly welcoming and beautiful community to be a part of! All of the offerings are rooted in care, compassion, and empowerment. Sarah's amazing JourneyDance classes sparked a passion for dance within me that I didn't even know existed. Embarking on this journey of dance has been transformative in so many ways and continues to bring me more in alignment with my inner compass. I'm super grateful for The Spiral Goddess Collective (:

I highly recommend The Spiral Goddess Collective. Sarah and all the instructors provide an excellent variety of classes, groups, and services to help you get moving, relax, as well as a space to feel supported.
I have enjoyed Sarah's Journey Dance, a field trip for Evolve, and the CommuniTea offered there, and loved them all.
From Spiral Flow Yoga, to Kukuwa Dance Party, to CommuniTea, and Meditation ( just to name a few I am hoping to check out ) there is something for everyone.
I'm looking forward to my next visit and to attending more of what they have coming up. 😊

I'd give 10 stars if I could. Beautiful and inviting space, wonderful instructors, wholesome, healing and varied practice offerings. I recently committed to a monthly subscription, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience in every class I've taken so far. "Move and be moved", indeed.
My favorites are the morning classes because they set the tone for my day and the sunshine coming into this space over the city skyline is truly glorious in the morning hours.
Highly recommend checking out Rori on Wednesday for a gentle but thorough spine unwinding, Geneva on Saturday for the most amazing breath work and rejuvenation of spirit, Sarah on Tuesdays and Sundays for Flow Yoga that does the whole body good, and Glenna on Wednesday nights for meditation.
Update: I just tried the Dance Fitness class (Thursday nights) and it was fun! A peppy, full-body workout that is only has challenging as you want to make it. Nice cool down and stretch at the end. I don’t, haven’t, wouldn’t do any kind of fitness dance class (ever!) until now. I had clunky moves and had to make things easier for myself. No one cared. Everyone is moving to their own groove. Oh, and the soundtrack was 🔥.
There are price points for every person and even scholarships for those who might otherwise be unable to access the healing services offered here.
I can't say enough good about it, really. Since the first class is free, there's nothing to lose by checking them out!

This month will mark my 100th class at the SGC! It feels like the perfect time to reflect.
I will preface this by saying that I had never participated in a formalized group yoga class prior to joining the SGC. The idea felt intimidating, and I never encountered a studio where it seemed like I belonged. That changed for me when I first found my way to the Spiral Goddess Collective (which is so much more than a studio). The Center’s space is profoundly beautiful and intentionally curated to evoke a somatic experience of safety, and to cultivate community, empowerment, and potential, while simultaneously celebrating each individual as we are now.
My experience in every single class offering (with Sarah, Geneva, Imke, Nick, and Glenna to date so far) has been positive. Each has invited movement, and stillness, in ways I needed. I used “invited” on purpose, as every offering at the SGC is invitational, honoring that we know ourselves best, and that we show up differently each day and each moment with unique needs and capacities. In moments it feels like the instructors are our guides on our journey back to ourselves.
I love being called back to my body and my breath, and encouraged to consider “what can you soften?” or “what can you release?” Or to “woop” when I feel it, and to take up space and to honor what I need as this is my practice; it is for me.
Unequivocally, being a member of this community has enhanced my well-being, and not solely on a physical level. The community care ethos that Sarah brings to the Collective disrupts the status quo and elevates an alternative in its place that I take pride in participating in. From the Collective Care Fund Scholarship model to the course and event offerings to the specialized training programs offered to change and care workers in the community, true transformation is happening here.

Sarah is a wonderful yoga instructor and I am so delighted that she offers classes via Zoom. Her voice is gentle and soothing and I always feel good about being a part of her class, even when my body doesn't want to fully cooperate.
