My daughter and I were visiting from Oregon and were so glad there is a Workout Anytime in Maine, close to our downtown hotel. The staff were friendly and greeting us. Danny let us know they have a second location. An older location but very clean and we felt safe. I would recommend this gym.

Been going here for over a year now. Very cheap, excellent equipment, and very clean and well kept. I love being able to go on my own time, even if it's 2 am, they are open. Never met a bad person there.

Great local gym if you live in town. I walk down from the west end. They don’t offer group classes, but they have all the machines and weights. The hydro massage is kinda cool. Staff is friendly.

I go early morning and it never feels crowded, but it's always busy.

Machines almost always work and there's a good variety of few weights. No dropping weight, chalk, or anything like that allowed. I've never needed it but I know many people bring a lock.

Lisa. The manager, very rude to all the people/teenagers who are trying to improve themselves. Many trespassed and banned. My child has had a very horrible experience there. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great gym. There's a wide diversity of equipment allowing for both traditional weight lifting (freeweights and machines) as well as plyo/TRX/crossfity stuff, and enough cardio machines that what I want is always available.

Have been getting charged for a membership that I cancelled for the past 6 months. Manager keeps assuring me I will not be charged again and reimburses me only for me to be charged again the next month. They hardly ever answer calls so it usually takes a week of calling at various times trying to get through. Six months this has been happening. Affordable and decent enough gym, but absolutely not worth the hoops you will have to jump through and dense employees you will have to deal with.

It's clean. It's affordable. It's open 24 hours. There's a lot to like about this place. It's not too crowded, but there is a limited powerlifting area, so you may have to wait to do deadlifts or squats.

Rude staff. Condescending. Don’t waste even $15 a month on this joke of a business. They acknowledge they get calls on the regular that they have to call and fix billing issues, but because I wasn’t super friendly he said he wasn’t going to help me. It’s funny my review didn’t get acknowledged on the other location, yet the good reviews get thank yous. Your gym is trash. Stop letting kids go in the gym without their parent/guardians. Wearing sandals or crocs is unsafe. Actually have a staff. Not someone wearing a branded shirt working out during their shift, probably letting their friends in for free. I hope to see both locations in Portland closed very soon.

The water machine needs new filter. There needs to be more measures to make sure only members get in. The water fountains are dirty. The bathrooms are dirty a lot of the time. Another stationary bike with clip-ons would be welcome.

I've been trying to join for a week now and nobody answers the phone. Does this mean you're not taking new memberships? I see from previous reviews that employee no-shows or nobody answering the phone has been a recurring problem. Three months ago another reviewer brought it to your attention that your voice box is not set up. It still isn't!

Worst gym, nobody is ever there. The voice-mail isn't set up. Key cards don't work to get in. Cant get anybody to pick up the phone. Never seen an employee. Don't waste your time or money. The cheap rate is the definition of you get what you pay for.

This place is sketchy,I had my gym bag stolen out of a locker I had placed a lock on, when I complained management said they would look into it said they would call me to let me know...I had to call them back and of course they had NOTHING to tell me about the disappearance of my property,so I of course NEVER renewed membership,then was receiving phone calls like it was something urgent but they only wanted me to pay for the following months fees and after I didn't respond they sent me to collections claim I owed them 117$ because they claim I didn't notify them that I cancelled,so I can get billed for a gym service that I never used n when I came in person to find out why they said it's like Netflix you have to call to cancel

I was in the other day and you're downtown Portland location and I spoke with Tommy who was at the front desk and he spent a good amount of time telling me about what the workout gym was about, what the costs were and the various things offered. I'm still trying to decide but he really made it sound appealing he was very knowledgeable and friendly which for me is very important I thought he might have been the assistant manager look like Tyler Adams I thought and well I said one day you will be I think and I think he deserves a shout out the place looked great clean and would be well worth it as long as you stick and stay for some time as they are up front costs that I basically amortized over time to keep that rate low over the longer Hall. I joined this gym about a month ago and it is by far the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. It’s location is incredibly convenient and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I also find that the gym is rarely crowded and a comfortable/clean place to work out.
