This is such a great place. I had some initial trouble with my account and Melody was so amazing personally contacting me and helping me sort everything out. I take the community class. It's a great mix of gentle, deep stretching, and a nice little workout that lasts me the week. Great environment of people and community.

I’ve been to multiple different yoga teachers at Aluma and all of them are so nice and their classes are so relaxing. Even the warm power classes bring you to a meditative state at the end. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for some grounding and time with your breath.

This studio is fantastic! I've tried several studios in the past and eventually found Aluma. I feel at home here with an incredibly welcoming community and amazing teachers. I have since been inspired to deepen my practice and began Yoga Teacher Training with Aluma. I couldn't recommend this studio more!

I began attending Vinyasa classes at Aluma last summer. I really enjoy Aluma's classes. I especially like the teachers and their supportive teaching style. Aluma’s teachers balance inclusive support with allowing students the time and space to take on new challenges, to learn, and to grow. In addition to the great regular class schedule, Aluma also offers fresh and creative special events for mind and body.

If you are looking for a legit Yoga Studio, this is the one. I have taken classes by three different instructors and they all have been amazing.
The studios are always clean and has the calming aura you are looking for when you take Yoga. The clientele is great too, no judgment from anyone!
The owner is always so welcoming as well, you can tell these instructors have passion for what they do.

I attended classes at Aluma for two years prior to becoming a staff member and I can not say enough good things about this business! Walking in to both locations you immediately feel relaxed, and all of the staff are incredible. Melody has truly put together a professional, well educated team and no matter what type of yoga you’re looking for, I believe you’ll be able to find support here. The students are amazing humans, it feels so special to be a part of this community and I’m so excited to witness (and be a part of) the growth of this amazing company!

I took a class at the Mt. Washington location. I will never return to this studio. The vibe screams uppity privilege. It wasn't welcoming at all and I've taken classes at many studios. Waste of time and energy. I'll pay a higher price for a welcome feeling and simple kindness.

Susan's classes make me feel like a rock star! I love the way she blends challenging sequences with balancing postures — a practice I can apply off my mat to whatever comes my way. Thank you, Susan and Aluma!

I started going to Aluma’s community yoga sessions a couple of months ago and have become addicted to their warm power vinyasa class. The studios are beautiful and serene and the instructors are fantastic. I always leave feeling balanced, refreshed, and accomplished! I have practiced yoga on and off for about 10 years but have never been challenged as much as I have by the instructors at Aluma. I can see my practice evolving in a very satisfying way. Thank you for being here, supporting my practice, and keeping everything safe!

What a delightful first class after a year of zooming. My friend and I attended class last Saturday at 9:30 and I do not know if it was the terrific teacher and invironment or just so glad to be back at a live class but we both had tears of joy at the end of class.
I felt more than safe with the precautions that the owners and staff have in place.

My yoga journey began two years ago after a dear friend dragged me to a class. After a couple of studios our path led us to Aluma where the energy and community is a comfort after a day of unpredicted stress in this Covid crazy world. The immense sensation of gratitude, grounding, peace and happiness is something I look forward to in each class and uniqueness of each teacher and what they bring to the mat and what I can take with me. It's helped me to focus, breathe and connect in everyday life situations. I am very grateful to Melody and Lisa for creating such a peaceful and safe space with such nourishing instructors.

It feels so good to be back in the yoga studio. Aluma Yoga creates an environment where you feel safe to come to class during the pandemic. They take every precaution. I love the variety of classes offered, so you can pick the class type you need. There’s no judgment and the instructors provide options depending on the students’ abilities. It’s a great place to go to clear your mind, strengthen your practice or socially distanced way to spend time in the company of others. Great space and amazing teachers!

I have been going to Aluma since they opened. The space is very inviting and the owners/staff very warm and organized. It is a great place if you are looking for connection with a small community. Melody has always been one of my favorite teachers. She makes me feel like I belong and helps me to become better. Thank you Melody and Lisa for your passion and commitment to the practice of yoga!

I have been taking in person classes at Aluma Yoga for the past 2 months and have enjoyed the experience so far. The owners have been very helpful, understanding and welcoming to me as a new student at Aluma Yoga and they're trying hard to provide a safe environment for people who want to practice in person during a time when these options are limited. Lastly, the maximum number of students allowed to take a class is 12 and in all the classes I have taken, none have more then 3 people plus the teacher. Overall, A+ experience and please check them out at the new Mt Washington studio (see photos below)and the Cockeysville location.

Aluma Yoga has built a supportive community, and as a teacher at Aluma, I’m proud to be a part of this community. Our students are guided by quality instructors who provide them the space and time to explore their own inner healing. The studio provides ample opportunities to practice different types of yoga and with instructors who all have their own style. When I’m not teaching, it’s my studio of choice to build my own practice.

I love taking yoga classes at Aluma Yoga both in studio and live-streaming at home. The Mt. Washington and Cockeysville locations are both so beautiful and calming. The teachers are very knowledgeable and create wonderful flow sequences. Melody and Lisa have done a great job at creating a sacred space to practice.

Dear students of Aluma Yoga, I am the manager of the retreat center in Tuscany (Italy) where a group of you was supposed to hold a retreat this year. We are all very sorry that this retreat had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Although Italian borders and our business are open at this moment, still there are no flights from the USA to Italy. That's why we have refunded the entire deposit to the retreat organizer with a voucher valid for 12 months (or more), according to Italian law (all deposits were non-refundable according to the contract - cash refund is therefore not mandatory and also not financially feasible for us, due to the very difficult situation!). We hope to see you all next year, under more auspicious conditions! Best regards to all!

Melody and Lisa have created such a wonderful space and experience at Aluma Yoga. I always feel calm and relaxed the moment I set foot in the door. There is not only an emphasis on proper alignment and listening to your own body within the physical practice of yoga, but also on the oh so important breath work, and mindfulness piece that go along with the practice. This truly is real yoga. I cannot recommend Aluma Yoga highly enough!

We had a great class yesterday at Aluma and left feeling refreshed and invigorated. The instructor was very knowledgeable and made everyone feel at home! As a bonus the location is very convenient to many other destinations on a busy day.
