It was ok. I went there using a 7 day free pass. The facility is clean, the person that welcomed me was kind. It's a intimate space inside, not alot of cardio equipment, plenty of nautilus equipment, they also have class. There is not a diverse crowd if that matters. It's in a shopping center so plenty of parking.

This is a fantastic gym with an exceptional staff. I have been going here since 2013 and I absolutely love it here. Never is too crowded and doesnt have the LA Fitness clientele that never re rack or wipe down their equipment. Its smaller here so you get to know the staff and fellow gym goers very well. I have zero complaints about this Anytime Fitness and highly recommend it

Great gym, small but never over crowded even during peak hours. The staff is great: friendly and very knowledgeable. Personal trainers are amazing, listen to clients and push you.

Definitely a clean and quiet environment and I liked that it was open 24 hours. I do believe the sales department at this location should probably learn top down selling. You give people bare minimum prices and by the time you add on classes or anything your biweekly rate is insane. I was told that a class would be included in a certain plan, just to learn it was yoga. They should have known that I wasn't interested in yoga when they asked me questions in the beginning so of course the class I wanted was much more. So if inflation has affected you this isn't the place. Also they should probably stop advertising free 7 day passes because I had to pay $30 non-refunded for my pass even with returning their key fob.

Excellent local gym that has all you need, without all the things you don’t! Owned and run by a family who is committed to making this the best community fitness facility with a family atmosphere. They are focused on helping us get results AND enjoying the experience along the way. I love that the gym is clean and well organized. There are many different types of activities/equipment and training depending on what your needs are. The recent changes and upgrades are very exciting also! Highly recommend!

The gym has a local community feel. The staff and owners really take a true interest in their members and know most by first name. You always feel welcome on arrival. There is a diverse array of equipment and services offered, all in good condition and well maintained. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a no judgement place to continue their fitness journey. The yoga classes rock.

I was a member for nearly 2 years until my membership was canceled due to issues at this location. Sometime this past December, a yoga class was formed. One night during my workout, I was deadlifting that night, the yoga instructor named Greg approached me and told me to stop “slamming/dropping” the weights because it was disturbing his class. I corrected him by telling him I am not slamming nor dropping the weights. I have been lifting weights for most of my life as well as powerlifting so I think I would know the difference. Greg and I went back and forth briefly and I told him I’m not going to stop my workout because I’m not doing anything wrong.
Another couple of weeks go by. The yoga class is still going on, I am still working out. I get a call, after a Thursday night from the OWNER of Anytime Fitness Perry Hall James Craig. Craig wanted to speak to me about my deadlifting sessions. He mentioned that Greg was continuing to complain about MY deadlifts. Now, Craig had told me to “Stop deadlifting on Thursday nights until we get bumper plates.” I was upset obviously, but I agreed that I will stop deadlifting until the bumper plates were in the gym.
April 4th is where this issue of “deadlifting making too much noise” goes beyond that. The new bumper plates are in. I am using the plates. Through my warm up and 1 or 2 working sets there was NO issue. And the yoga class was in the other room. Honestly I was pretty happy that the new plates seemed to be working. Then I recognize three guys come into the gym. One of them goes to the other power rack and sets up for deadlifts. Unfortunately, I have to use all the bumper plates to get a decent workout in. I finish another set, get up and walk to the OTHER SIDE of the gym to cool down. The guy, I will call him Jim (not his real name) starts his deadlifts with the non-bumper plates. During HIS deadlift, Greg comes out of his room and walks over to the free weight area and LOOKS AT Jim deadlifting, shakes his head, and walks back into his room. HE DOESNT EVEN SEE OR ACKNOWLEDGE ME. I go and continue my workout. After a set, Greg approaches me. He asks me if I can stop deadlifting because it’s disturbing his class. I point over to Jim and say “what about him? He’s deadlifting too.” Greg totally ignores that and says you’ve been disturbing my class. I again point over to Jim and say “he’s deadlifting too, why aren’t you telling him?” Greg ignores that AGAIN. Greg tells me to use “those”. He points at two pads that are supposed to “sound proof” the weights. I told Greg no, I’m not using those. I told Greg “I was told to stop deadlifting until the gym got bumper plates. Here are the bumper plates. I’m using them. Why don’t you tell Jim to use those pads for his plates since they aren’t bumper plates?” Again, totally ignores that. Greg starts walking away and says “This ends tonight.” I respond by saying “I think it’s funny that you come out here approaching me deadlifting when there’s another guy deadlifting but it’s ok for him to be doing it WITHOUT any special equipment but not me” Greg says “I’m not arguing over this” and walks away. Now, those three guys I mentioned...one of them made a comment to me “that guy only had it out for you.” Mind you, they had no idea that Greg has been having “issues” with me for months. And to have someone on the outside pick that up from that ONE interaction speaks volumes.
A week later Craig calls me. He claims he has been “trying to defend me this whole time.” BUT, since there’s more clients in that yoga class (he said 12-20) and ONLY one of me, that he “HAS” to pick them over me. Even though the incident took place directly under a security camera, and there are multiple witnesses as to what had been said, Craig decides to cancel my membership. Instead of looking into the issue he takes the easy way out and cancels my membership.
Due to character limitations on google review, this was a very condensed version of the situation which spanned for 3/4 months.

I left a BIG chain gym (GG) and came over to the new Anytime Fitness in Perry Hall back in 2008. I was tired of the “pick-up/dating vibe” at the other gym and John Venuti- the manager at the time said that was not case at Anytime. I have found that to be SOOO TRUE and a great mix of locals. Now 10 years later I’m still there along with my 2 college age children. They have both chosen to beling to the gym and love it there. (Son had should surgery early in the year and the gym was super accommodating).
With my line of work it’s important for me to have 24/7 access to the gym-another perk with Anytime!

The cancellation fee is 200 dollars. Paying 40 dollars a month for a year contract , these people really know how to make clown out of their customers. The gym is mediocre, nothing special. There are other gyms in the area that gives you bang for your buck. La fitness, planet fitness, heck even merrit within 10 min of this gym.

Still on the fence about Anytime Fitness. The trainers seem pleasant and caring enough, but no doubt you must know your own body and your own abilities or you will be pushed past your limits. Had to put my foot down and stop after leaving my first few sessions w/ my trainer and looking like a 90 year old man the next 3 days straight. This wasn't just the case for me, but for my son and a few of my friends who joined said the same. Experienced trainers should know to start slow, especially when given your background and lack of gym time. Being told by the boss to push them hard can kind a put them on the spot though. Also wasn't very happy to hear the boss tell his trainer, after a less than 30 minute training session, look that simple, easy money bro, easy money. Lastly, and really upset my wife and myself was after my wife's hernia surgery, I brought a surgeon's note to freeze my wife's account until she could actually get into the gym again. Contract stated the facts, but I was told the letter from the surgeon was too vague and SORRY CAN'T HELP YA! Oh well live and learn. Definitely not the biggest or best gym in town and I don't really think your going to notice that much of a difference between a gym that very easily talks the talk to lock you into a $194 a month workout and Planet Fitness or the Y. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice environment and comfortable setting. Can be quite crowded at times and parking stinks, but you're honestly not getting anything more or less than the next gym. Except more money shelled out.

Met a staff member today. He cut me off and slammed the door in my face mid-sentence. I value my mental and physical health (as well as my safety). I do not feel comfortable around hostility or aggression (triggers my anxiety and PTSD) for these reasons, I will NEVER attend this establishment. Do not go here. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
