I have been with Dahn yoga for a few years. I had a great experience. The staff was always there. Any time a head a question or a problem, they were always willing to take the time and help me with that. The other thing is what I like a lot about Dahn yoga, the exercises are very simple and help work in an integrated way; stretching, breathing, and Qi energy training exercises. The classes not only about physical exercises, but about integrating the whole system: body, qi energy and mind.

Dahn Yoga changed my life. The classes work for all ages and physical conditions (you don’t need to be a yoga master to fit in). The regular classes are great and if you are looking to go deeper, to experience your soul, your inner beauty, and to elevate your consciousness - ask for the workshops.

The best recommendation I know to give anyone who is seriously seeking a more fulfilled life (physically, emotionally and spiritually) is to go and visit the Dahn Yoga center in Bethesda. Ask for Master Anita - probably one of the most enlightened people in the area.

I started Dahn Yoga classes in Bethesda last May and it's been a great experience! I immediatly liked it, I felt completly confortable and enjoyed it a lot.
I did Shimsung as well in June and I could understand myself more clearly and see what I really want for myself.
I highly recommend Dahn Yoga to everybody: the exercises are really enjoyable (I have done classical yoga for many years and with different teachers and I have rarely experienced the same peasure in doing exercises) and if you think that I am rather a lazy person and I go to the center every day...it's quite easy to understand my pleasure!
My teacher, Master Hope, is a very good teacher, one of the best I have ever had, she can understand your needs and help you a lot!

I have been doing Dahn Yoga for the past 2 years. The variety of exercises keeps me interested and focus. This program is good for the very young and old. Everybody exercises at their own pace. The thing about Dahn Yoga is that no special clothing and equipment is needed. What a BONUS! Master Hope usually start off most morning with a smile and the song "Happy" that sets the tone for the day. She is an excellent instructor and hopes that everyone who comes get the maximum benefit for the time spend with her.

With Dahn Yoga, my body has changed so much. I am more flexible, grounded,...have better balance and most importantly my brain is clearer and happier. And I have even grown 3/4" (and I am in my fifties). Dahn Yoga is such as awesome program. Everyday the classes are different focusing on different aspects. I love in particular Wednesday classes (Dahnmudo or Taichi) and Friday classes (Vibration). Wow! I feel so rejuvenated and I can feel my energy (and my circulation) flowing. Try the workshops; they are worth every dime. In particular, ShimSung (Finding True Self) Workshop is a fantastic, effective, such well run program that really gets one in touch with oneself. When I did it, i was such a novice and I still walked away with life-changing learnings. It's amazing (better than 200 visits to a counselor). I wish I had found this program when I was younger and I wish it for all.

A wonderful experience, done holistic practices for over 5 years now, and been to tons of studios but there was something about this one that gave me this warm and comfortable feeling inside. Clean and prestige rooms, simple yet embracing atmosphere. The lady even hugged me when i came in! At first a little resistant to the hugs, but how many people hug strangers! Ive traveled a lot and met many great instructors, cant wait to come back to Ol' Georgetown! Overall a great stretch and deep meditation, would suggest it for rookies and pros. thumbs up for me ;)

Amazing! Words can not express how grateful I am to the Dahn Yoga Studio in Bethesda. I started coming to the center to relieve severe anxiety. It has been almost a year since I began a transformation of body and mind. My experience with Dahn Yoga Bethesda has been of new beginnings, learning and growth. Being able to manage my own emotions and search for my true self has been a great experience so far and I look forward to more connection with earth, love and humanity. Outstanding! I came in for a trial class and have been coming back regularly almost everyday ever since. It is easy to do, makes you feel relaxed and energized at the same time, and most importantly, is not boring at all. There are breathing exercises and movement, but it is different from any other yoga that I have ever done (and I have done a lot). A person of any physical ability can do it and get the benefit of both the exercise and the breathing/meditation. Also, because it is based on physical posture, the meditation happens so seamlessly and quickly you don't even notice it -- i.e. it is not boring nor difficult to do, unlike every other form of meditation that I have tried. Also, Chun, the Director of the center, is the warmest person ever and an excellent teacher. I recommend you try it at least once. Both women and men attend the classes, ages 20-70. Honestly, two thumbs up.

I have gotten great health benefits by doing Dahn Yoga. I started Dahn yoga practice in March 2013. At that time, I had very bad low back pain. I had tried different ways, such as acupuncture, Chiropractor and physical therapy, to relieve my back pain. But my back pain persisted despite money spent and effort made. I decided to give Yoga a try because I have read that Yoga can help to relieve back pain. I joined Dhan Yoga because it is close to my home. After every practice, my back feels little better. My back pain was completely gone after 3 month of practice. I also feel more energy and in better health overall. Now Yoga is part of my life and I go to the center to practice almost every day. Master Chun at Bethesda center created a friendly and encouraging environment for the members. I give the center a 5 star.

I have been going to Dahn Yoga since 1995. Its been the best thing that has happened to me. Bethesda Center manager is warm and dynamic and keep the classes as challenging as you would like it to be. The classes are varied and wonderfully stimulating ranging from stretches to power poses to chigong to meditations with music or magnets. The classes at Dahn are unique, nothing like other yoga places. The energy flow is palpable. You leave energetically recharged and balanced. Dahn Yoga also has some wonderful workshops that are phenomenal. One of them is the Finding True Self two day workshop.... one I wish everyone on earth would do. Its life changing. I can truly say practicing Dahn Yoga has changed me and my body - ie my body is straighter (I have actually grown 3/4" in the past few years and i am in my 50s), more relaxed, more flexible... I am more in touch with myself. I am happier and centered. I love it and wish it for everyone.

I have been doing this dahn yoga, tai chi, meditation and breathing almost 3years. I am Professional Japanese food chef and running restaurant. I have this job almost 35 years. Also, same years I am playing golf. I had a lot of back and shoulder pain always. I love golf, but sometime I couldn't play that because of pain. My wife did dahn yoga first, then she introduced to me Center Master. She gave to me direction what I need to do. I thought I have only physical problems, but she explained to me I had that symptoms because of my stress. I really like guidance which is individual direction. It was make sense. After one month, my pain was gone without realizing. Also, all energy meditation processing gave to me power to manage my emotion. Little by little I could manage my emotions. Now, I very very good relationship with my self, my family and my employee. Many friends say I look getting younger. That is bonus for me. If you want to have health body and mental condition, I suggest to visit Bethesda center manager. She is best master.

I love Bethesda Dahn Yoga. I have been coming here for many years now and love it. I have been in school with a lot of stress with friends homework, etc. But when Dahn Yoga was introduced to me in Bethesda, I felt so much better. I went for my first Dahn Yoga lesson in October 2011. I loved it from the beginning and was eager to attend the classes. For a few months I wasn’t able to go to the Center as often as I wished but I went back to it as soon as I could. I came back to the Center when Master Chun had just started. From the beginning I was happy to find that Master Chun is energetic, full of life, cheerful and enthusiastic. Master Chun does all the exercises with us and she is very good and doesn’t make us feel inadequate. She enjoys our company and genuinely laughs with us. I must admit since she came on board I have enjoyed going to the Center better than ever before. At the end of the class I always feel relaxed but at the same time energized and ready to tackle everything coming my way. I find the all experience at the Dahn Yoga Center rewarding and know for a fact that the stomach exercises are beneficial to me.

I loved this practice so much, I became an instructor! Dahn Yoga's classes and training programs have helped me stay mindfully agile, expanding my ability to manage everything life brings my way from surviving breast cancer to becoming a healthy, fit grandmother. I love the classes Master Chun teaches and also find such great joy in sharing the deep stretching, breathing and medication exercises I teach fellow members. I started Dahn Yoga in my mid-50s, unable to touch my toes. I was unable to do "pose yoga" so this practice was just right for me, and I hope you too.

Master Chun, the newest director of Bethesda Dahn Yoga, brings an energy to the classes that is new and refreshing. If you have muscles that you are sure have been dormant for sometime than please visit Master Chun's class. Who knew that dancing and laughing through a class was considered exercise? The muscles you thought you lost somewhere along your way to doing everything else will reveal themselves
once again as soon as you do one of Master Chun's shake, shake, shake moves. I am busier than ever, but I love the noncompetitive nature of Dahn Yoga and the other members of the class are amazing as well, so I make time to renew my body and soul by attending a class at least three times a week. Allow yourself enough time after class to have a cup of tea with the class and Master Chun; it is both a
physical and energy booster that grounds you for the day. Never tried Dahn Yoga or not sure you can do those weird positions you've seen some people do, don't worry you will blossom under Master Chun's watchful eye and warm heart. Hope I see you there.

The staff at this yoga center is very professional, and the classes are fun and interesting. After the class, the instructors might invite you to stay for a complimentary "check-up" session to make sure you understand the basic exercises and to help with any modifications you need based on your personal condition. As a person with chronic back pain, I really appreciate this extra care and awareness, because I really hurt myself at another studio where the instructor didn't know my limitations and tried to "help me" do more...
