I did a drop in class this morning and was a little nervous being at a new CF gym. Coach Rebecca was amazing from the start. Her WOD description, warmups, skill instruction and overall coaching was a 10/10. The attention to detail with positive corrections on my form was greatly appreciated. I have done CF for 13 months and Rebecca made me feel right at home. Black Bird’s community is what CrossFit is all about. Thank you to Coach Rebecca and all the athletes a BBCF.

A Truly Transformational Fitness Experience at Blackbird CrossFit!

Blackbird CrossFit has completely reignited my passion for fitness! From day one, Rebekah and the entire coaching team have been incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely encouraging. Their energy creates an atmosphere where everyone feels supported whether you're brand new or returning to the gym after years away.

As a former collegiate athlete, I’ve had my fair share of training programs, but nothing compares to the structure and thoughtfulness of Blackbird's classes. Every movement is broken down with care, helping me understand the why behind the how. This has not only improved my technique but has kept me injury-free and moving better than ever.

One of the biggest perks? I never have to come up with my own workouts. The programming is smart, challenging, and constantly varied; perfect for keeping things fresh and exciting. I love learning new movements and refining ones I thought I already knew. My proudest achievement so far? Crushing wall walks—something I never thought I’d be able to do with my utter lack of upper body strength.

I've been a crossfit goer for about 10 years now. This is my third box and by far my favorite.
From day 1, the staff and members were friendly. Coaches are cool and not over the top (like some can be at other gyms). Shout out to coach Mary! Owners/admin are quick to respond to inquiries and are accommodating.
If you're looking for a new routine, a new box, a new experience, or a way to burn the calories and feel stronger, give this place a go.
If you're looking to try crossfit, don't be intimidated, it's as hard or as easy as you want it to be, but you'll be better for it!

It really doesn't matter your level of fitness or ability to get started. Everyone is extremely welcoming and supportive. The goal is to have you moving well and feeling good. I have never been a consistent gym-goer and have worked up to 5 days per week and am sticking with it because of the environment that BBCF provides.

I have been a member of Blackbird Crossfit since their early months of opening back in 2014! If you are looking to transform your health, your fitness and your life this is the place because they have a great community and awesome coaches! Mostly, you’ll find me in the regular CrossFit class but I am always looking for ways to improve some areas too. Today I had a personal training session with Mary on my pull ups. Since Covid & few setbacks, I knew I had developed some bad habits! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Mary was able to dial in on what we should work on! She recommended a warmup, mobility work and ways for me to focus on new habits for stronger & efficient pull ups!

I walked into Blackbird 4 years ago with one goal in mind...lose 10 pounds and then quit. But, here I am 4 years later and Blackbird is a daily part of my life that I can't imagine living without. What I found at Blackbird was an amazing atmosphere where people are non judgemental and push you to do YOUR best every day and coaches who truly care for you to be your best self in and out of the gym. I was never an athlete or a gym goer so these coaches have built me from nothing and I could not be more excited for the skills and confidence I have gained. I never lost those 10 pounds, but I gained 9 pounds of muscle mass and a decrease in my body fat by 11%. I can honestly say I am happy with my body and in the best shape of my life. And these results happened not because I did anything extraordinary, but because I simply showed up every day. If a mom of 4 can get these results from walking in the door, just imagine your own possibilities!

I tried two gyms in the area. Both were nice and welcoming. What separated Blackbird from the rest was the level of instruction, focus on safety, and mandatory fundamentals program. Every exercise is demonstrated in its entirety with weight before anyone is asked to do the exercise. They also advocate stretching which I appreciate. I like it so much that I signed up for the nutrition program also. I look forward to getting into the best shape of my life with the team.

Blackbird has literally changed my life! I’m an amputee with a spinal cord injury. About 2.5 months ago I reached out to Blackbird CrossFit to seek adaptive athlete training. Rebekah responded to my request immediately suggesting that her husband Matt was adaptive training certified! My husband and I are both well over 60 years old and Blackbird CrossFit transformed our fitness! First we needed to put our pre conceived ideas of what we thought CrossFit was aside then we needed to listen to the well trained coaches. The coaches were able to work with us and find alternative moves that were tailored to our fitness level and physical restrictions. We have never been able to stick with an exercise program before Blackbird and now we’ve been active members for 6 years! I joined Blackbird almost 2 years ago and absolutely love this gym! I was looking for something that would have a big impact in the very little amount of free time in my day and Blackbird has done just that. 6 weeks ago I decided to embark on their Nutrition Challenge. Blackbird Crossfit has many options to fit all health and fitness needs. The coaches are responsive and take the time to answer any concerns regardless of your level of experience. I have taken several P.A.C.E.R classes as part of my training for races with Coach Justin. He combines running drills and crossfit to create the perfect interval training. The results have been sizable, with many PRs. This year, I added 1:1 nutrition training with Coach Steve. I was amazed to learn how small changes in my eating habits could make such big changes. It was eye opening!!! Every takeaway is something that can be applied to a lifetime of healthy living. Everyone is working on their own personal goals, and with the support and encouragement of all the coaches and other members, it is a never ending positive experience at Blackbird Crossfit.

The nutrition team at Blackbird CrossFit is awesome! The 6 week Challenge program was life changing. I had known for a while that I needed to change my eating habits and they provided the keys I needed to be successful. I learned how to adjust my food intake to balance carbs, fats and proteins to better manage my calorie intake and cut out added sugars and processed foods. The best part is this is not a diet like other programs it is more of a balance of food that allows for large portions of the right foods that help you live and feel better. Like most changes it is not easy at first but the team was always there to help coach and support throughout the 6 weeks. It was a great experience and I would recommend the program to everyone.

The saying goes, "All you have to do is walk through the door." It's so true of Blackbird. There is a great, supportive community at this gym. Every single thing can be adapted to your skill level, and all of the coaches are great at helping you figure out what that is. The nutrition program at Blackbird is great, too. Even if you don't want to lose a bunch of weight, the nutrition program can still be beneficial for you. I struggled with lack of energy for my workouts and felt like I was not performing as well as I could be. I cannot express how amazing Blackbird Crossfit is. The minute you walk in the door it feels like going home. Both the coaches and members treat you like you are part of the family. The sense of community is what keeps me coming back every week. On top of that you receive great programming and coaching every day you workout. I started with absolutely no prior knowledge of weightlifting or gymnastics and I have made great progress thanks to the effective coaching at Blackbird.

Blackbird also offers nutrition coaching in addition to its regular CrossFit operations. Blackbird Nutrition has given me lots of knowledge and resources to create and sustain healthy eating habits so I can stay fueled for the day and for workouts.

I have a lot to thank Blackbird for. It has given me a community to feel a part of, helped me lose 55lbs, made me feel healthier, and created healthy sustainable eating habits that are easy to maintain. I have been with Blackbird crossfit for about 4 years and I just love it here! It has been the only type of workout I have stuck with. Every day the workout is different and the coaching is excellent. Fellow crossfitters are super friendly. I am currently in their nutrition program. I always had problems with consistently sticking to my diet, but with this program I meet with the nutrition coach monthly and the nutrition coach checks in with you weekly. Lots of accountibility. I have lost about 40 pounds on this nutrition program and I am eating healthier now. I would recommend this gym to anybody!

BBCF has definitely changed the way I think about nutrition, being healthy, working out and community. I have participated in almost every nutrition challenge since I joined the gym over 4 years ago and what I like most about the programs is that they are constantly evaluating and improving the programs. Healthy Steps Nutrition is by far my favorite given it's structured flexibility, it's ease and the consistent support you get from the community of people who are participating. These programs are a great way to reset my eating habits, think about my relationship with food and demonstrate (for myself) how my nutrition affects my overall health (mental and physical). The great part about these programs is also that it's clear that it's not a fad diet or a short-lived strategy, but life changes that in the long run will benefit me beyond anything that is short-term. Love, love this gym! Before I started coming here I hated the gym. I didn’t like the environment of other gyms and never felt super comfortable with myself. Since being introduced to CrossFit at blackbird my experience has been AMAZING. I have been a member for just over a year now and it has changed my life. This gym has not only helped me gain some self confidence as well as strength and conditioning, but they have an amazing nutrition program as well. If you know me I have been very skeptical about CrossFit. I was so wrong! Blackbird Crossfit ....nothing like I expected. The coaches ...extreme knowledgeable, welcoming and supportive! As someone who WAS hesitant to start working out because of the judgement from others, i was worried about walking in the door. The first time i went i was surprised. EVERYONE (staff and other members) were extremely supportive and welcoming. I have been going to Blackbird for about 6 months now. I have seen major changes and feel so much better. Both of my girls have participated in CrossFit Kids at Blackbird and have loved it. My youngest daughter has a physical disability that slightly impacts the effectiveness of her core muscles, and she has gained so much strength and confidence from the programming and coaching in the JV program. I cannot recommend Blackbird Crossfit enough for birthday parties. We celebrated my 6 year old daughter's birthday there last week and it was amazing. Rebekah and Matt, the owners, were so good with the girls, kept them engaged and active the whole time and were able to accommodate a larger group than originally expected. They were so encouraging and positive throughout the games/activities. They helped me set up and decorate and reworked the schedule to allow for a small craft within our superhero girl theme. Rebekah was such an awesome role model for the girls and spoke to them about being strong physically, mentally and in friendships. I have received so much feedback from the other moms about how much their daughters enjoyed themselves. It was a great time for everyone involved! I have been going here for about 10 months and love it. I am in late 30s and was way out-of-shape when I started. This is best overall fitness program I have seen--it is well balanced, and in my opinion very safe as long as you follow instructions on lifting techniques. I love the class structure of the workouts instead of wandering around a gym by myself. People here are all great and very supportive.

After having my second baby, I did some home workout programs before I got bored and unmotivated to get any further results. I was exhausted most days and my diet turned into goldfish and grilled cheese. I was referred by friends to try crossfit and was quite skeptical after some of the things I had heard about crossfit in general. Blackbird has not only changed my outlook on crossfit, but has changed me! I am finally proud of the way my body looks! I am leaner and stronger. I have enough energy to last me through a whole work day AND an evening with the kids. I've been going to Blackbird for about 2 months now and I LOVE IT. It's not like any other gym I have ever been too. The work outs are different everyday, so there is no way for you to get bored with your routine. The workouts are challenging (in a good way) and the coaches are always there to help you modify if needed. Matt, Rebekah, Steve, and Justin are great coaches and they are always there to educate you on form, nutrition and keep you motivated all around. It not just a gym. It's a community. You will become family with these people and its overall an amazing place to workout!
