Love this gym! The atmosphere is wonderful. The work outs are awesome. You won’t find any pretension at this gym! Everyone here is kind and friendly from the couple who owns the place to all the wonderful athletes who make up Blue Crabs community. Blue Crab Fitness has truly met me where I am in life. Before having kids, I was a full-time CrossFit member. Now, with a different schedule, I participate in the Burn class using a punch card. They are able to meet you at your stage of life and/or fitness level.

If you're considering joining, I highly recommend. The coaches are dedicated, kind, and always willing to modify workouts to fit your needs. The community is welcoming and supportive!

They have a fair sized lot and building yet for some reason they still send children out onto a 40 mile per hour busy roadway during rush hour traffic. I watched as several cars almost collided with each other and with pedestrians as they try to avoid children running in the roadway on both sides of the road. Very dangerous, I’m amazed any parent or supervisor would be allowing this.

I am so happy to have found BCF and Emily Clarke. She started out just needling my lower back and hip and then I started going to her for personal training.
Because she's a PT she knows body mechanics and what I shouldn't do..she focuses on making sure my body is in the right position for every exercise so I protect my lower back. She's choosing exercises that will improve my strength in the areas that will help my back symptoms.
I started with her in mid December and have had 11 sessions. I am so pleased with my results so far. I'm doing things I never thought I could do whole also noticing my back pain has dropped from a 7 to a 2 most days. I can do more at home and I'm asking for help from my loved ones less in completing self help tasks that before I simply couldn't do- like putting my socks and shoes on.
I can bend over without having to get onto my knees first.
I could talk about Emily and my progress all day. I can not speak more highly of her and her business. Give her a call today!

As much as any other factor, I was looking for a good community (and to breathe some new life into my workouts). I had done CrossFit year ago and enjoyed the camaraderie. I was really happy to find BCF - the owners, coaches, and members have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. I have tried just about every different gym and workout class out there, simply because I enjoy trying new workouts and changing things up. I have been to multiple other CrossFit gyms or CrossFit affiliated gyms, and I have always really enjoyed working out and challenging myself. We are new to the area and I needed to figure out my new workout plan (the gyms I previously attended were just too far away). I truly don’t think I have ever been to a class or gym full of people who are so kind and inviting. Everyone including the owners and all of the staff are so friendly and lovely. You can go workout anywhere, but this place is just awesome! I am so glad we live around the corner and this is my new spot! And of course the workouts are just as awesome as all the people. Highly recommend BCF and I am so happy to be a member!

Before the government gym shut down I joined this gym having no CrossFit experience before. They were completely understanding of me canceling my membership for the time and when I came back they welcomed me with open arms.

The friendly nice welcoming members and staff of this gym makes it a great place to be even if your are not physically in shape. The community of this gym is unlike anything I would have ever imagined and Keeps me coming back for more.

If your considering it, just do it! You won’t regret it.

I am very grateful that Blue Crab came to our community several years ago. I’ve never been really good at working out on my own. I was a little intimidated about trying it because I was 55 years old at the time and I know that the work outs can be intense. What I’ve found is an excellent community of people that want to encourage you where ever you are in your abilities. I’m 58 now, not the youngest guy there (maybe the oldest) but I recognize that I’m either working toward good conditioning or I’m moving away from it. Blue Crab is always focused on my health first...not competition. It’s a perfect fit for me.

Great location. Hands down the BEST coaches. I've been a member of this gym since the beginning (when they offered free classes at Western Regional Park prior to opening their gym). From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted warmly and enthusiastically by both the coaches and the other gym members. This gym puts a huge focus on not only quality and purposeful WODs (workout of the day), but also camaraderie and helping to build a better you. I always leave this place feeling better than when I walked in; even when I have to scale an exercise during the workout. Everyone celebrates each other accomplishments and PRs (personal records) and they are there when you need a little push to get ONE MORE (rep, increase in weight, etc.).

I wish there was a way to give Blue Crab Fitness 10 stars. I contacted Blue Crab interested in personal training early this summer. I just didn't think a CrossFit style program was for me. After meeting with one of the owners and discussing options, I decided to give the Prep Course a try and then take advantage of the Free trial. Needless to say, I signed up after the trial ended and I have been attending classes consistently now for about 7 weeks. My experience here has been life changing in the most positive ways possible. The owners, coaches (very patient) and members (very supportive) are a blessing. Their location is easy to get to, extremely clean/organized & the owners are professional, friendly and excellent at communicating what is going on at the gym or getting back to you if you have any questions. I can't say enough great things about Blue Crab Fitness!

Blue Crab Fitness is an amazing gym. I've been doing CrossFit since 2007. As a former CrossFit coach I've taught in and traveled to many different CrossFit gyms. Some good. Some not so good. Without a doubt Blue Crab Fitness is my favorite. When I walk through the door, it's like going to a friend's house. I'm greeted by the owners or one of the coaches. The athletes themselves are friendly and talkative. They introduce themselves, get to know you, and cheer you on. It's like a second family. Which is why I have chosen Blue Crab Fitness as my CrossFit box of choice. The coaches are knowledgeable, professional, encouraging, friendly, have high expectations, but they keep it light and friendly. It's a terrific blend. At Blue Crab Fitness you could be their best athlete or the new guy, but everyone is treated equally. There is no favoritism or clicks. Another solid reason I chose Blue Crab Fitness as my gym. My experience at this gym has been nothing short of fantastic. It's always a good day when I get to go to Blue Crab Fitness for a workout

Rick and Lura have created a gym where everyone belongs and they are welcoming to folks of all backgrounds from zero exposure to fitness routines and those with a lifetime of experience. When you join you are embraced into a community and you’ll find yourself having fun and making lots of new friends.

Coaches ensure that technique and form are foundational to every workout correcting poor posture and helping to ensure members health and well being are prioritized across the broad range of movements performed. There is excellent camaraderie amongst the members during any workout making even the most challenging of workouts fun. This is not a meathead gym.

Even if you have reservations on joining a gym you’ll not regret trying this fitness center out as it’s truly one of a kind.

I moved to the area from Hanover- switching from Grounded CF to BCF. The box is great. They host classes all throughout the day, they also started hosting "Burn" classes. These ones are a little shorter than a normal CF class, high intensity and fun. They stayed open throughout most of the pandemic (as soon as the governor opened up), followed protocols and kept a clean/safe environment.

The owners Lura and Rick are amazing, super personable, community-oriented, and really involved. They hosted a number of social activities and fund raisers to help businesses and the community. Lura even helped me come up with new goals to keep me on track and provide accountability when the pandemic threw my schedule off.

The coaches are great- upbeat and motivational. They don't over-coach to push you out of your comfort zone, but definitely push you or will help scale the exercises so they can literally work for any👏one.
Definitely recommend- all day!

Signs for Blue Crab's opening went up at the same time that I realized my workouts needed a major change. I wanted strong coaching, programming that would keep me engaged, and a welcoming community. Blue Crab has changed my life and I'm so glad I joined!

BCF is great for all ages and fitness levels - whether you're new to exercise or advanced, each class has scaleable options that allow anyone to get a great workout. The coaches are very knowledgeable. They break down the movements and have you practice step by step, so you learn how to do each movement safely and efficiently. They are always willing to help out with one on one coaching if needed. The community is incredible. It's usually the same people throughout the week so you really get to know everybody and it becomes like a family. Just dropped in at Blue Crab CrossFit today to get a WOD in while staying in the area for a work trip.

I highly recommend Blue Crab for anyone interested in getting in a good workout. The coaches were welcoming and very knowledgeable, the facility was massive with plenty of room and lots of equipment. It felt like I was home at my regular box.
