I’m so happy I gave this gym a try, I’m absolutely in love with the place! It’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to with the nicest owner! Clinton is an expert at making people feel welcome, comfortable and motivated. Work out by yourself, with a group fitness class or in personal training. Been coming here for 3 years, taking the weekday "boot camp" class (total body HIIT workout) pretty much every week, which has taught me a lot (allowing me to do HIIT at home during the pandemic) and really made me stronger! I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Clinton's guidance. The space is quiet and CLEAN (especially important nowadays!), and Clinton is always friendly and helpful.

This is an amazing place to come and workout. Moreover, BMF offers excellent classes such as yoga, bootcamp, and zumba. I highly recommend this gym. It's a professional and clean environment. The owner, Clinton Hayward, offers a quality and reasonable membership. His personal training class is amazing! Again, come and check it out. I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed.

I started going to BIM because of a medical crisis that was physically disabling. Mr. Hayward is a seasoned expert. He knows his business and he cares about his customers. After personal training with Mr. Hayward I am physically a changed person, I move with greater ease, and I have healed physically and mentally. I have 100% grown into wholistically a better person. BIM is a small local gym with a personal touch, and the aspects that make that great for many people. (It may not be the sort of gym for you, but personally I think it's misleading and downright nasty to leave a negative review and deem it unprofessional just based on...what, that it doesn't have rows and rows of treadmills and a sauna or something?). The gym is clean and organized, with a small but well-thought out variety of equipment for both cardio and strength work. Classes (including yoga, spin, various strength training/core work etc) have a personal, focused, non-judgmental approach with a nice level of motivation. The clientele is pleasantly diverse, with various ages and levels and interests. The overall vibe is friendly, and options range from basic gym use/access to intensive personal training. It can be a nice convenient oasis to just come 'get in your zone' and be left alone to do your own thing, and/or take a class or two, and/or get some training tailored to your needs/goals. I rate it high because it does a good job living up to its genre - a personal/community fitness center with options for both instructed and non-instructed workouts.

I appreciate the laid-back friendliness of this gym. You have the freedom to pick and choose the componenets of membership that are the best fit for you and Clinton is very passionate about building the right environment to help you succeed in your fitness goals.

I would agree with another reviewer that Body in Motion is like having your own gym that comes with a trainer. Though I enjoy working out on my own, I have surpassed my weight loss/strength goals thus far thanks to the Move It to Lose It group challenges.

I go to boot camp on Saturdays and love it! Clinton is so helpful in showing you what to do in order to get a good workout when you come to the gym on your own too. It's a smaller, more personal atmosphere, no waiting your turn for machines and very clean.

The Zumba class at Body in Motion Fitness is fantastic! I look forward to going every week. I’ve been to several other Zumba classes at other gyms, but Aimee’s class is by far one of the better ones! She works hard to create classes that are great for all skill levels, beginner to advanced, to ensure that everyone has a great workout. Aimee’s class is full of energy, and she’s really good at explaining/breaking down dance moves, especially when teaching a new song/dance. She’s not concerned with how well the movements are done, but just wants everyone moving, exercising and having fun. She takes the time to get to know her “students” and know what their health “weaknesses” are, and is quick to point out that you shouldn’t do this particular move because of a bad knee, ankle, etc. and suggests an alternate move. Aimee also has a huge repertoire of music, so every class is different instead of the same set each time, and I love the seasonal music she throws in once in a while!

This gym is a fabulous place to work out. It is very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It has all the equipment you need to work out on your own and they offer a variety of group fitness classes as well. Classes are small and personable. Clinton is a great motivator! It is very much a family environment. Not at all intimidating like some bigger gyms. You will see all ages, genders, shapes and sizes. Everyone is welcome! I love it here!

This is not a professional looking gym, it has a hole-in-the-wall vibe. This gym is an intimidating environment that you won't feel comfortable in unless you look like a model or fitness trainer. I had questions for the owner, he said he'd call me back and never did. The operating hours are strange and not convenient if you want to work out on weekends. You're better off getting a membership at one of the gym chains. LA Fitness in Waugh Chapel is not far away from Crownsville. I do not recommend this establishment.

It's like having my own gym, equipped with a personal trainer. The Boot Camp is great to learn about exercises and weights. Clinton is friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. Whether you are in need of a very regimented program or just something to maintain your fitness level, this gym can help you. Very affordable
